    Pros +

    • I did not like anything about this hotel.
    • We stayed at the Villa Pescadores for 7 days. We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome and quickly became part of the hotel family. We loved our room so much, as well as the patio area and the hammock. Great & quiet location, lovely staff!
    • The service was AMAZING! The location. The food was amazing and the sand was so great to walk on. It was the most peaceful, classy, beautiful, place I have ever been. They had massages, restaurants, cleaning services, scuba diving, I have to come back.

    Cons -

    • I did not like that they turn off the air conditioner from 9am-6pm. It's very hot and humid so would make sense to have air conditioner during the day. The water from shower stinks like a portable toilet. The room needs a lot of renovation.
    • The mosquitoes. Which is typical for the jungle but if I had to not like something it would be the mosquitoes and that you can¿t really enjoy the water with all the seaweed this time of year.
    • Paying the park fee, but that is not in their hands.

Nice rooms, nice buildings, nice staff.

So the place would have potential but greed and mismanagement is making it bad. The people who work here are really trying to help but they can’t change the facts. The owners need to step in!! The sewer is open and poop is literally coming out of the shower sink, the kitchen at the beach spreads every day smells of oils and frying across the place, the party music is always on, beach goers are invited to join the restaurant and chill area so that it’s always busy and the best places are not available for the hotel guests. Breakfast is so complicated as there are only a few options that are included in the paid-breakfast option and they are absolutely not flexible to make any changes, even small ones, without extra pay. And the ocean in front of the hotel is covered with snorkeling/tourists boats that prevent easy water access.

The setting is lovely, tranquil and exotic. The bungalows were nice and private with a very nice outdoor deck. Loved it.

The hotel is kind of isolated and there is really not many options for meals. When you order something you kind of know what the bill will be…. Our meal bills ended up more than expected, add ons not accounted for. Caution! Also, we did not always have hot water for showering.

Staff was so amazing and super helpful! The property is gorgeous, right on the ocean, and the road to get into the park is very serene and has cute lights at night. Felt very safe and welcome! Room was so cute and perfect for us! Fee for national park was not as much as we thought it would be. Very flexible with bike rentals and timing of return. Great lounge chairs on the beach.

    Limited activities and breakfast menu.

The way the property is designed ist just beautiful

The staff at the restaurant doesn’t seem to enjoy their work and being an essential part of a traveler experience.Very little customer centricity, actually the least I have ever experienced in over 10 years of Mexico, Quintana Roo travel.

Overall, the place itself is nice and has a charming design. It’s quite an attractive and unique setting in terms of aesthetics. But to be honest, the overall experience wasn’t perfect for me.

On the negative side, the hotel is located inside the Jaguar Reserve, which means there are strict environmental rules. For example, there’s a ban on plastics and some specific electricity rules, like turning off the air conditioning at 9 AM. Plus, you have to pay entrance fees to the reserve even if you’re a hotel guest—450 pesos the first time and then 120 pesos daily—unless you enter after 5 PM, which is free. The hotel’s location within the reserve isn’t great because the beach in front of it is full of boats and not really that nice. If you’re going to stay there, you’d be better off choosing a spot near Paradise Beach, which is much nicer. The rooms are very small and you can hear any noise from outside. Every morning around 7 or 7:30 AM, there’s an annoying sound like a generator or something similar. So, despite the nice design, I don’t think I’d stay there again.

location in the park, just on the beach, calm

mosquitos, well they are everywhere in the park, bar and food are expensive and not that good. While it wasn't an issue for us as we usually depart for a whole day by car, you better return after 16:00 to avoid crowds on park entrance

The room met all my expectations. The beach acces is great. The staff is the very best! Everyone including the hosts were very helpful. The breakfat was better than I thought it was going to be. But, the lunch and dinner was out of this world. My compliments to the chef. Those fish tqcos and seafood tostadas were everything!

The swimming pool was not appealing.

It is a somewhat simple hotel and is somewhat secluded inside the Parque Jaguar and on the beach - easy to chill out and quiet at night.

    5MarkPosted on: 5-28-2025

Room was clean and air conditioning worked after 6pm.

We were given the wrong room type (ground level, garden view) rather than the type booked online with Booking.com (upper level, sea view) and the hotel said the problem was with Booking.com. Also the food quality was marginal at the onsite restaurant.

A very relaxed beach hotel located near the Tulum Maya ruins (& FAR away from the pulsating hotel strip further down south) The breakfast (served under a large canopy by the beach) consists of a fruit plate & 1 plato fuerte of your choice. The cabanas are quite large & decorated in different styles. The reception is always manned By Victor (daytime) of Nicolas (evening) & they are VERY kind & helpful. Expect some minor bugs, as we are within Parque del Jaguar. Spoil yourself to a swim with mantas & turtles with "Tulum Snorkel Service" located just to the left when going out on the beach. it's 350 for a 1 hour trip. They are a 100 pesos more expensive than the guys to the right, but it's money very well spent.

the new rules that came with the implementation of the "Parque del Jaguar" a year ago can pose some difficulties the first time you go to the resort. Afterwards it get's easier.

All of the staff were very helpful and definitely worked hard. At times it did seem like there wasn’t enough staff to provide reasonable service when breakfast and dinner were busy.Overall, both the service and food we enjoyed for lunch and dinner was very good, again the fact that they charge London and New York prices is a bit much.

Basically given the facilities and location this resort is well overpriced, even given the fact that it is in touristy Tulum. Our sea view room needed updating and some basic maintenance. Even though it is in a nature reserve, it is sandwiched between an access road and another resort. At times, guests had to wait for a table during breakfast. On two of the days of stay, there were no lounge chairs available on the Villa’s beach area. The pool chemicals were very strong, we were not the only ones who said that they caused a skin reaction. Overall, in my view it didn’t meet the description it has on its website and from my experience is on par with resorts that cost half of what it is charging.

    Beautiful location, cosy cabins.

For the price level, I had expected higher quality. The bathroom door couldn’t close, and that is very close to the beds so uncomfortable, curtains were partly broken etc. The service was also very slow sometimes. We arrived at breakfast at 8 (when it opened. informed we needed to leave 8.30 and we were served 8.29 so couldn’t finish the meal. They also serve coffee in the morning (very nice) but when time 7.30 is selected, it shouldn’t be served at 8. So, beautiful location but needs improvements.
