    Pros +

    • The hotel was great. Decorated in poppies in honor of WW1. Very close to WW1 sites and museums. The staff was fantastic and the lady that checked me in was just amazing, she excelled at customer service. The breakfast was fantastic and the room was very nice. Very enjoyable stay.
    • good breakfast, excellent location for exploring Somme memorials
    • Staff very friendly and helpful. Cecile assisted us to locate our lost iPad which we were very grateful for ?

    Cons -

    • must be European thing but north americans prefer larger pillows
    • No channels in English (BBC World News) for example on the tv’s in the room. Given the amount of English using this hotel it was quite surprising.
    • It was a shame that the bar closed at 10.30pm but I guess early season it is difficult to guage how much business there would be. We certainly would have spent more time and money in the bar.

Ideally located for visiting the former WW1 battlefields.

No channels in English (BBC World News) for example on the tv’s in the room. Given the amount of English using this hotel it was quite surprising.

Everything I needed for my stay in Albert.Room was a little tired however the staff were first class. Particularly Alexandre who was manning the hotel single handed on Sunday evening. She was covering reception, the bar and also preparing and serving meals, all with a smile. I don’t know how she did it!First class

As basic hotels go, this was a good one. Clean facilities, comfy bed, nice size shower. Alexia at front desk was particularly helpful, other staff not so much. For some odd reason, their dining room was closed on a Friday and Saturday nights. Fast food within walking distance, but better restaurants are available in town if you’re willing to drive.

Accommodation, rooms, facilities etc were all very good. No complaints from us - a party of 12.

It was a shame that the bar closed at 10.30pm but I guess early season it is difficult to guage how much business there would be. We certainly would have spent more time and money in the bar.

The location is perfect to visit war graves. It has on sight parking also a bar and restaurant. A short walk brings you into the centre of Albert. The staff are friendly and speak English. The rooms are clean and tidy.

    Nothing bad to say!!

    9AlisonPosted on: 2-18-2025

It was clean, tidy and comfortable. Although the kitchen was closed the staff on shift went over and above to feed the guests. And the food was beautiful

There is nothing I can comment

We are travelling with a dog, the ladies on reception were very welcoming of him and, much to his delight, had biscuits for him! The location is great and the room is very comfortable. The restaurant was offering basic food because it was a Sunday evening but it was still very good.
