Pros +
- The room was dated, but the bed was comfy and the place felt clean. The en-suite was miniscule and one has to be a contortionist to use the shower, but the owner(?) was very pleasant and helpful, and went out of his way to help. A decent breakfast too. It's very handy for the centre of town and, once the traffic had died down, surprisingly quiet.
- Cold draughty room. Unpleasant food.
- Parking outside the Hotel was an advantage.
Cons -
- A bathroom basin that drained. A comfortable bed.
- 1. Dining room was unheated.2. En suite - just okay3. No evening meal available.
- Very comfortable bed, helpful friendly staff and excellent breakfast

Close to the town centre, walking distance to bars and restaurants
Very comfortable bed, helpful friendly staff and excellent breakfast
Despite reports of being unfriendly, found owner really friendly and helpful. Found secure parking for our motorbikes, and provided a decent breakfast. Hotel is perfect location for town centre amenities.
Rooms very old fashioned and bathroom very basic, but clean enough.
Excellent and very friendly staff who were very accommodating. A great place to stay if you want to visit the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial which is definitely worth a visit.
I liked everything. No complaints.
Very happy with our stay! We arrived late and had to leave early. Arriving was arranged very well and the owner/employee of the hotel was very nice when we checked out. Hotel room was good, clean and we slept great!
The receptionist was extremely pleasant and attentive and although our room was quite simple it was very well equipped with a TV microwave oven and a small fridgeThere is no lift but after commenting on our old age we were placed on the first floor, which we were very grateful for.The room was also quiet as it didnt give onto the street. The hotel is ideally situated ,a five minute walk fron the magnificent 1916 to 1918 Great War Museum ,shops and restaurants. And I must inform everyone that Albert is ideal for visiting La Somme battlefields.
Perhaps a small explication indicating how to flush the toilet. It took me 5 minutes to find the button but it made me laugh a lot as it is the first time in 59 years of visiting France that I have come across something so unique.
We were able to park in front of hotel.
For the price we paid, the room was inadequate:. the toilet plumbing was 'antiquated',. there were no additional plugs for computer to access free Wifi. kettle lid was stuck solid so we were unable to open it to make a cup of tea . there was no bottom under sheet/mattress protector on one of the single beds. whilst we were checking in, high volume music was blaring out from a speaker on the counter and no attempt was made to turn it down so we could hear each other. Breakfast was adequate but hardly worth the 11 euros we each had to pay.
There was cold beer after a hot day looking around the Somme war cemeteries, and right opposite is an Indian curry house that does the most delicious food ever!
very helpful proprieter. Good value breakfast for 11 euros.
Convenient for visiting the battlefields.
Water not hot. Bed uncomfortable
Great location and value for money. Very comfortable beds.
The toilet in the bathroom.
Well located, friendly staff and comfortable room
It was in a great location as we were able to walk to the town to a good selection of restaurants and cafes and museum. There many WW1 monuments and cemeteries close by, which was key to our visit.
It was very French, a little quirky but clean. It was in a great location. Having a bar and breakfast available was a bonus.
Nice host. Private motorcycle parking. Poor facilities and dirty.
Location to the town centre as only short walk to find food as the hotel still displays Restaurant signage but has not got a restaurant !!!!!!!!!
Chose this hotel as was travelling on a motorbike and wanted to be able to walk down to the restaurant rather than having to ride for food. Twin room had very little space between the two beds so was tad too cosy for comfort. Insufficient clothes storage, no AC only one socket outlet that powered all the appliances so you either had a coffee or fan running you couldn’t do both. Bathroom was very tired and had damaged tiles - best part was the macerator toilet that sounded like a jet taking off. Towels were thread bare and the sachets of shower gel gave sufficient gel to wash a hand - so there was insufficient in the room for two to take two showers. was going to ask for more until the sign was seen “the staff do not speak English”.
Location was excellent as was breakfast
We stayed on a Sunday and some facilities were closed
The Hotel is in an excellent central location in Albert we have stayed here before and since our last stay the restaurant has been replaced with a pool table so I’m assuming only bed and breakfast available now. The hotel is in need of updating but good enough for a night stop over. Host is lovely but speaks very little English.
Bathroom is rather tired and the hotel generally needs updating
Poor
It states there is parking. That gives the impression that there is a car park attached to the hotel & was one of the reasons we booked it. It's street parking & you have to be lucky to get a space. Very tired hotel, noisy toilet, mould around the grouting in the bath, no air conditioning, room was stifling & we didn't find the fan until the morning. Awful nights sleep as a result & the hotel smelt badly of smoke. Breakfast adequate. Very overpriced for what it is.
