Pals Inn Katsuura

The room and breakfast area were very clean and spacious. The staff at reception were very welcoming, always friendly, and helpful with directions. I'm very grateful for the attention I received, especially from a man at reception (I'm sorry, I don't remember his name), who had traveled to my country (Argentina) and with whom I chatted briefly during breakfast. I recommend it to anyone who wants to stay by the sea.

Absolutely delightful staff & a beautifully presented & very Japanese breakfast

Very tiny bathroom - so tiny I think a particularly large person would struggle to fit inside it. There also aren't many restaurants nearby, although that's not the hotel's fault.

Great views of the beach and surfers. 2 minutes from kii-temma station. The bedrooms are smallish, but have everything you need. And the beds are super comfy with very nice duvets & plump pillows. The bedroom window that is the width of the room and shows off the stretch of coast, is lovely……along with a tiny balcony. The breakfast is also great quality- tuna sashimi for breaky!!

Not a lot to be honest

Location is not great, grumpy reception, the onsen they said is at a 10 minute walk from the hotel and you can go only once, the mattress was old and I could feel the springs so a 1 star hotel maybe. Do not recommend going here as a non Japanese speaker. Only good thing is that they did call a taxi for me.

Good location with sea view. Walking distance to Kii Temma train station. Very peaceful surrounding and town. Room was spacious and clean. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff.

The owner was really friendly and chatted for quite a while. Location was only 11 minutes from Nachi Falls by car and easy to find from the expressway. Room was cosy, clean and was as expected.

People at the reception did not speak English, the Onsen was not in the hotel but at 20 minutes walking distance.

It is not a 4 stars hotel but a 3 stars if not less

staff was very nice and helpful, guided me to the bus stop when I wanted to go Nachisan falls and every morning the breakfast was explained to me what it was, food was really good

There are so many mosquitoes in and outside of room, very annoying. Unfortunately the hot spring is not located in the hotel itself (in a 10 min’s walk in a sister hotel)

location isn’t the best. stayed here because everything in kii-Katsura was full. have to walk there for food.

its sister hotel was 10 minutes walk and had a nice indoor and really lovely outdoor onsen. The breakfast was ok and they served tuna sashimi

the place is extremely run down and smells terribly of smoke. it needs a full makeover. it was uncomfortable because it was so run down.

I only have positive things to say about the staff at this hotel. A gentleman greeted me so politely. He knew exactly who I was. I was frustrated due to being lost by following Google Map directions. This kind man was so understanding. He excelled at customer service.....a big hug to that gentleman.

The hotel was a little far of a walk.

Wonderful location by the beach. Great ocean view from the room. Delicious breakfast with friendly staff.Very conveniently located to train station and bus stop.

Restaurant was not open for dinner. Very small bath & toilet. Very few dining options nearby.
