- A lovely couples’ retreat — charming and peaceful, with a fantastic location. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the staff are welcoming, and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing escape.
- The beachfront villas are wonderfully located and are very peaceful. Great for unwinding. Staff cannot do enough to help. There are a couple of decent walks on the island. Bird and animal wildlife is all around and is great, particularly the cockatoos! The spa provides excellent massages - well worth fitting this into your stay.
- The cabin right on the beach, the wildlife island vibe ,The lack of loads of people even though hotel was well booked ..Just a really nice ,getaway from people / the usual ..the shabby chic feel of the cabin was spot on.
Cons -
- Room could have done with a bit of extra time but not alot ,still loved it
- Bigger meals and more of a variety of meals.
- The prices for food, alcohol, and transportation are pretty steep.

The location and view was beautiful and quiet. Staff were super friendly. The rooms had a stunning view and we would definately stay at this resort again. Great value for money and gorgeous location on the whitsundays.
Bigger meals and more of a variety of meals.
The location is spectacular! Very serene and surrounded by nature.
The prices for food, alcohol, and transportation are pretty steep.
Pretty bungalow on the beach. Oceanfront deck with comfortable chairs. Beach with kayak, snorkel gear and paddle boards included. Beautiful natural landscaping. Plenty of birds and wildlife to be found. Nice walking trails. Very relaxing! Day spa was perfect!!Staff were lovely and friendly but not intrusive. Simply stunning views.
This place was perfect.
Amazing place, lovely island. Nice peaceful place. Will definitely think of returning back. Rooms were nice.Loved the kayaks and took them out everyday that we were there. The bay was very beautiful. The sunset bar was great wished they served some food/snacks there.
Restaurant food was pricey with not enough variety. Not much to do once it becomes dark maybe add a pool table or something ?.Only way to reach island is via the island transfers ferry which has only 2 timings morning and late evening wish they have more timings.
The views were so stunning from the room and from the main sitting areas. This place is a hidden gem. So quiet and feels like you have the island to yourself. It's great value for money. Thanks for another amazing vacay!
The only constructive feedback would be to expand the dinner menu, it's too limited especially if staying for more than four nights. The breakfast and lunch menus were great though, and food delicious.
Absolutely beautiful resort, lovely accommodating staff. Huge food portions and delicious cocktails. The view from the room is beautiful.
Limited vegetarian options, but still delicious and was happy to reorder everything.
Gorgeous location, close to wildlife, stunning sunsets Great relaxed atmosphere Staff were all lovely and gave advise regarding bush walks, times for kayaking
Nothing I didn’t like One suggestion could be a wider range of veggie food options!
Amazing experience immersed in nature. There are wallabies and birds all over the island. Good activities (Kayak, snorkeling) for free. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Beautiful location, lovely accommodation, perfect pool area.
Food wasn't great
The peaceful and relaxing location was perfect to really unwind. We made a big mistake in our booking and the Manager (Andy) and staff...moved mountains to help us out at extremely short notice. For that we are extremely grateful. We stayed in several properties over 8 nights and all of them had some kind of small issue of one thing or another and the food choices were limited. But, it did not detract from a fantastic holiday with friendly staff and beautiful location. The issues were not worth complaining about, especially given the price of accommodation and how they helped us out !The food was faultless ..apart from the limited choice.
Beautiful locationSo peaceful and quietFood was lovely Staff are very friendly
-lack of equipment for activities-spa was not open on Sunday -snack shop didn’t have much options
Beautiful location. Perfect for those who need to destress and unwind. Seamless transfers from the car parking to the ferry to the room.
We got overcharged multiple times with drinks and food, so keep tabs on your bill…
A much older set of bures set on a small beach. The seclusion and quietness appealed - but only for those that are looking for that outcome, and are prepared to forgive the somewhat tired facilities.
.........a makeover is needed - but that might increase the room rate!
Having stayed at the resort two years ago, we felt that the service and standard of the facilities were not as they once were. We didn't even get a thank you for staying when we checked out, and there was certainly no welcome like there was last time. Two of the female wait staff were exceptional, and without them, the service was well below expectations. The food, though, was fantastic. We had planned to make the biannual trip to Palm Bay an ongoing anniversary celebration, but I doubt if we will return, which is very disappointing. The location and wildlife, however, were absolutely amazing.Everything else - the transfer from Shute Harbour and the shuttle from Proserpine Airport - absolutely fabulous.
Location was amazing. Room was clean and the bathroom was large and modern. Let down was the reception staff. So rude and contradictory. When we arrived we noticed jetsekis in the bay. When we enquired about them we were told "No we dont organise that" we started walking around the shop and noticed a "jetski tours sign" We thought oh they must not do that anymore. Next day we received a letter to our room with activities. On the bottom was "see reception staff to organise jetski tours" went and saw them again. "You're too late the boat left at 8am" what the hell we tried to organise yesterday? Not only that there was a booklet at reception with spa prices and a map for walking tracks. I asked if the room had one so we could sit down and look through to decide what we wanted. I was told "room doesn't have one you would have received one in an email" Got back to the room and scoured my emails. No email from them. Went back to reception and gor a different lady. I asked again Sorry I couldn't see an email do you mind sending again? This receptionist said "we dont email that you have to read it here" Everything these receptionists said all contradicted eachother. We decided to leave a day early because of how rude they were. When we were checking out we didn't even get asked why or if everything was okay. Just "leave your bag outside" no goodbye thanks for staying. I will not be back. I grew up on that island at the other resort club croc and this was meant to be a nice trip back to see the place 20 years on and it was a major let down.
The Palm Bay resort is truly heavenly. Our cottage was really splendid, with all the amenities you need! The view is magical and you'll have the chance to meet wallabies and cockatoos on your way:) The restaurant is also very good. A word of advice: check whether you're visiting during the rainy or dry season.
This is a perfect location for an island escape, with the friendliest staff, great beach, pool, restaurant and sunset bar. Our beach hut was about double the size that we had expected with the perfect ocean and island view. When not relaxing at the pool, we enjoyed the well marked hikes on the island, canoeing in the bay - and making friends with the many rock wallabies that live in the resort.
