Mercure Bali Nusa Dua Hotel

Saw a rat running across the restaurant floor. Did not have any non dairy milk for coffee. No vegan food at breakfast but they did make me noodles after a long discussion. Room and place in general old and shoddy construction.

The staff were friendly and the private beach is pretty.

The facilities are old and tatty. They are a far cry from the photos. I was able to book a twin room for 1 adult and 2 kids, when I asked for an additional bed, the hotel was unable to supply one.

The pool area was clean and well maintained. Room was cleaned daily. English was spoken by almost everyone. shuttle to the beach was hourly made it convenient to go back and forth from the beach.

The towel smells a bit.. old property.. the balcony door cant be locked.. the food is average not many variety..

The staff, restaurant, pool, gym and shady gazebos were great.

For what we paid, the facilities and staff were good. The big bummer was the mould on the grout in all of our bathrooms and the overall tired appearance of the hotel.

-As with all Mercures in Indonesia, cleanliness is always an issue. Your feet will be very dirty just by walking around your room barefoot. -Low sound insulation-Dining area is outdoors, get ready to be eaten alive by mosquitos.

Shower was smelling, so had to request change of rooms (which was done without any questions asked!). But had to move to L1 instead of pool access room, which we booked. Beds were not comfortable, tired and run down property.I stayed at this hotel in 2017, and loved it back then so decided to book it again. But after this stay, not booking it again.

They had a good breakfast spread each day. The staff were professional and well behaved. The location was good and the free shuttle to the private beach enabled a good travel to the beach and nearby Bali collection too!

The room design itself was quite inefficient. The basin was in the bedroom itself right beside the bed and the toilet and shower were weirdly separated out that was very inefficient.They provided complementary tea and coffee but did not provide the cutleries, though it's a very minute detail, you'd expect better attention to detail from Mercure.The staff were otherwise quite helpful and professional but I called the reception at night for some spoons and a bottle opener. They tried to tell me that the bottle opener was there in the room attached already which I didn't understand but they still didn't send the spoons either that night. I reached the desk again next morning when they cleared my confusion about the opener and sent the spoons promptly.

Rooms are old and dirty, this place needs renovation immediately

There's only 1 electric socket in a twin room. There must be additional sockets as travelers tend to bring more than 1 gadget.

The people were lovely although a lot didn't understand english so was a hige language barrier and easily confused, although they tried their best. Good food. Great, free shuttle to the local beach.

The hotel is falling apart. So much damage, the kids hurt themselves multiples of times from cracked pool tiles, damages decking with holes around the pool, rust and broken pool tiles EVERYWHERE. The hotel needs to be shut down whilst a refurb is done before somebody really hurts themselves. Australia Prices for food and drinks. V expensive and just not worth the money atall.

The room has only a limited number of sockets which the guests needed in charging their gadgets

Pool and breakfast

The place is looking a bit tired, the chair in my room had a stain on it and the tiles around the pool are missing and falling off.

Pool rooms were clean bed was comfortable AC was good out spa was nice Location was excellent. The shuttle service to the beach was good

Coffee was terrible and pricey. The staff didn't clean outdoor balcony. Had to ask them to come collect glasses and coffee cups. The pool area was neglected broken tile in pool and surrounding outdoor area. The lawn and garden was very overgrown and neglected. The beach club the staff very lazy never any towels or sunbeds. Anyone could come in didn't check if you were guest at the Mercure. Drinks and food very pricey.

Nice gardens from main road apart from that, NOTHING

Pool was a disaster. Tiles were falling off, we collected them and put them on the side. Over pool lounge areas were falling apart, one had to be removed leaving concrete stumps in the water, another one was rotting away and was poorly repaired, the last one was just about usable. Exposed concrete was visable above waterline. Hand rails going upto the pool were loose and not safe. Not enough pool towels were available and some people had to go without until some were available. In the rooms there were no drawers at all, we had to keep shorts, tee shorts etc. in the case, a small hanging rail was there for dresses, trousers etc. The over head shower did not work only a hand held shower was working. We had to keep asking for shower towels and hand towels to be replaced. Nearest beach was several km away and had to be transported there, the private beach held about 30 people, a complete waste of time.

The room is very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and professional. The room service is great, all the food and drinks are very good at reasonable prices. The parking is spacious and easy to access even when it rains.

If you want to walk outside by feet you have to walk for five plus minutes until you leave the hotel territory. For example it took 7 minutes to reach the nearest bar: 5 minutes walking to the hotel gates and two to the bar.

Generally staff were pleasant although not eager or keen to help, the breakfast was probably the most disappointing I have experienced. The property showed its age with tiles loose in the pool, balcony door sticking due to swelling and strips coming loose, the shower was rusted and fell off the wall, the luxury pool view balcony was unusable due to the heat being pumped out by the air conditioner as it that took up a 3rd of the balcony. We also spent 4 nights at the Mercure Legian prior to coming to the Nusa due site and the difference was shocking, the staff at the legion hotel were amazing.

Great location nice hotel curteous staff and great pool, value for money.

Rooms too small with small toilet but yes value for money, food choices less for vegetarians. Breakfast spread was good.

But information re the ""Sikent Day" was lacking.There was an information sheet but we missed that as we arrived late in the evening ..An easy oversight .The room we booked was advertised at 24sqmWe were allocated an 18sqm room.
