    the garden was nice

the room smelled like sewers, the toilet flush wasn’t working, the public kitchen had no spoons and i couldn’t sleep in the morning sue to the construction work being done in the hotel!! terrible experience!!

    Location

Lot of mosquitoes in the room always, even if I had everything closed, it seems like something was going in the room because we had another room near and there were no mosquitoes. The water to take a shower and of the sink was salty.

Nothing at all, possibly the pool!

The accommodation looks nothing like the photos that booking.com show on their website. There was construction going on on the site. Our room was not cleaned at all the four days we were there and then when leaving I was told that I should have asked to have them cleaned. Our shower was very old and dirty and covered in limescale! All rooms need renovation and a good clean! I am amazed at some of the reviews here that say it's good! Don't be fooled! Don't book it! Shame on you booking.com for not asking for updated photo's!

We had a suite, which had a water cooler. The view from the restaurant is nice.

There was mould all over the shower curtain - it should be replaced. One of our rooms smelt strongly of mould from the bed curtain. The doors didn’t close properly, which meant mosquitoes could come through the gaps (there were a lot). The shower head didn’t point in a normal direction. No door mat at the front door so the floor was always Sandy, and did not get cleaned our 4 nights stay. The restaurant had a nice view but the food took nearly an hour even though we were the only customers, and it was not good quality. The road leading to the hotel is not good for walking on (main road, no sidewalk).

If you are after a very quiet hideaway, this is the one! The garden and the pool were lovely to wake up.to.anf relax before starting or ending your day. The cafe on site was also nice, with a great view of the sea, that also sells decent food and Bintang and good cocktails. Make sure you ask for the hotel guest rate menu at the cafe!!. The location was great to go to Ulluwatu temple (walking distance down a hill) but unless you had a bike or happy to use Grab, it wasn't too easy to get in to Ulluwatu itself. If you want to see the Kecak at Ulluwatu, they buy the tickets for.you at the same rate 150k as in temple (you'll just need to buy entrance in to temple), worth them doing it so Yu don't have to waste your time queuing in advance. The hot water shower was good and you were able to use the bottled water machine to fill your bottles up before heading out in the shared kitchen. One of our rooms had a funny smell, so one of our group were moved promptly, so that was great! The beds were big and comfy. The staff were lovely and very friendly too.

There wasn't much we didn't like but the rooms were a little tired and one of the bathrooms had mould on the ceiling (it was a high ceiling, so didn't bother us!).One of the rooms had a funny smell, but we were moved so can't complain about it really!! Although we had a nice time here we did feel it was a little far away from the action and beaches without hiring a bike (which we would have done if we stayed longer), which was out fault really!

Walking distance to the Uluwatu Temple

Short door at the entrance to hut and bathroom. Not ideal for medium height or tall people

Nice location. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable.

Facilities (bathroom, lights, etc) are old.

    Bad

The place felt abandoned and poorly maintained. The room was dirty, making it unbearable to stay. We booked for eight nights but left after one, only staying the first night because we arrived late. Look elsewhere for a cleaner, well-kept stay.

Lovely pool, lovely staff, easy bike hire, so close to Uluwatu temple, quiet but convenient location for us . Lovely breakfast too! So many butterflies!

We stayed a week, it would have been beneficial to have the room cleaned at least once during our stay

Garden and Pool absolutely stunning. With the restaurant just close by and a lovely sunset view.

    3OmerPosted on: 1-14-2025

The efforts the staff put in

The general construction. I had a big black lizzard in the room at night and I fought with it, and could not sleep. There was no one from the staff available at the time, and the lizard could have bit me as it was near the bed, there are holes in the roof from where these insects can come in. It was a nightmare

This is such a lovely place, I'm so glad I booked it cos the people were so friendly and the location was beautiful.

It was great overall, but I guess the bathroom could use an update as the shower & toilet are very close together.

    Poor

My room was right by a busy road.Bed very small with heavy duvet - too hot.Air conditioning didn’t cool the room adequately.

    8JoonaPosted on: 12-6-2024

The rooms were nice, beds and pillows were comfortable, they had inexpensive bike rental, the breakfast was affordable and good and the view from the restaurant was terrific.

Pool area could use some improvement, bathrooms could be a little nicer and the outside doors of the bungalow were not that good.

    3StefanPosted on: 11-25-2024

the food was ok, the view from the restaurant brilliant, the staff was ok

the cabin was so close to the road that is was super noisy as this was the main road to the surf beaches and the temple. the bathroom was weird. you had to cross the shower to get to the toilet. the cabin had no privacy. the door were made of glass. when you wanted privacy you had to close the thick blinds and it was totally dark in the room. the water in the pool was murky and not inviting. no umbrellas, no shade. the garden was completely neglected . there were places in the compound where kind of rubbish was dumped

    4PatrickPosted on: 11-18-2024

Location for Ullawatu temple. Breakfast higher standard than the rest.

Rather tired and unkempt. Needs maintenance. Sadly the noise from the road and barking dog kept me awake from 4.00am

I have nothing positive to say.

Do not waste your money staying here. My girlfriend and I were absolutely disgusted by the quality of this place. We were literally there for 30 minutes. And we are not uptight people, we always stay in hostels typically, the place is completely rundown, garbage everywhere, the grass wasn’t cut/maintained, the pool was disgusting, it smelt awful. We were shown our room briefly and said it was fine as we were just really tired and didn’t pay much attention as the photos were much nicer than how it really was in person. When we went back to the room, there was ants crawling on the bed, a large gecko running across the room, cracks in the wood of the floors and ceiling (we should literally see the outside), pee on the toilet seat, and the rooms smelt awful. The AC works terribly as there are literal cracks throughout the whole room. We tried to get our money back and the lady at the front desk told us that it was not possible as we already sat on our bed. They told us they could give us 50% of our money back even though we were literally in the room for less than 10 minutes. Horrible customer service and shame on you guys.
