    Pros +

    • The accessibility to the beaches and pools. The beautiful villas and the views….breathtaking. The staff are very professional, friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need but most importantly make sure your stay is very pleasant.
    • Family liked it, thanks for providing the upgrade. Good villa with view, Good food and importantly very friendly staff - smiling and attentive. A place to experience.
    • Amazing staff, very friendly and professional reception. Anticipated our needs. Beach access. Our turtle and monkeys! The room was nicely decorated for our arrival. Spacious rooms and bathroom. Nice deep pool. Clean bedsheets and good variety in the mini bar. Good selection of vines at the restaurant. The restaurant staff was amazing. Good cocktails and pizza at the beach bar. Great staff at the beach bar.

    Cons -

    • Going to the beach from cliff is a challenge due to the queue for the tram, as we decided not to use 300+ steps...
    • The food was average in the restaurant. Coffee was terrible. The restaurant at the top of the beach, by the sky tram was outdated and needed some improvements.
    • The elevator was not working going to the beach. We had to walked 350 steps. And the show at the beach was not worth the price. It's over hyped and over priced!

The food was very goodGood location and beautiful sceneryThe spa treatment and location was excellent

I never write reviews actually but felt it wasImportant to do so this timeMy two activities were cancelled..it was raining so nobody’s fault but they made me wait multiple times for it and cancelled last minute. An event planner said she would contact me later and never did I misunderstood the stipend per day, probably language barrier miscommunication but considering they did not try to correct this mistake

Stunning view from pool and restaurant! Location is good to get a good beach experience and access to other restaurants and beach clubs

Old facilities that requires significant refurbishment to live up to a five star hotel! Hotel is like a labyrint and feels a bit locked in while in the resort! Lacking social areas to enjoy a drink outside the restaurant! Noisy restaurant with too loud music and furnitures out dated already 10 years ago!!’ Except the view I cannot recommend this hotel. Breakfast not good!

Surrounded by beautiful nature, down the cliff welcomes u with clean private beach. Private and luxurious one of a kind place in Bali.

    Hi Price for stay

The views from the main restaurant are superb. For the best food in the resort head to the Warung down on the beach front. Best indian style dishes of all sizes and varieties.

Unfortunately the cable car leading down to the beach was out of order, so the resort had put on mini buses to ferry the guests up and down.

The villa was luxurious, the facilities was good, the beach was beautiful.

The room service food was delicious but the breakfast ala carte food was clearly downgraded although they claimed that it was from the same kitchen.Villa was beautiful though we had a glitch of blackout in the main bedroom but the engineers were fast to respond and fix it.

The facilities are on a 5 stars-level as expected.

At the reservation, I was not sure if the villa would be able accommodate three persons, since the description indicated a two persons villa. So I paid for an extra bed. Upon arrival there was a sofa-bed in the living room, which would be more than enough to facilitate a 9 year old. I found the extra bed in front of the closet and the mirror and nearly blocking the way to the bathroom. I requested to remove the extra bed since it was redundant and made the space cramped.I probably misunderstood since in the description of the facilities did indicate a sofa bed. But my point is, if the villa can accommodate 4 persons (including the sofa bed) why upsell the extra bed and promote the villa as a two-persons accommodation. And even if a customer purchase an extra bed, it would be proof of good service to inform the client that it is not necessary.Another bad experience, is while ordering food at the beach restaurant, my son changed his mind and ordered something else. The initial ordering stayed. The waiter did repeat the order (so it is obviously still my mistake for not checking the right order), but he could have mentioned that 4 meals and the portions of the meals are to much for two and a half persons. At the breakfast we had the option to select a la carte breakfast besides the breakfast buffet. The first morning we already filled our appetite with the buffet breakfast since the order came longer than 15 minutes later. The same happened the second day while also bringing the wrong order for me.AIthough professionally set-up and very nice staff, I would appreciate a more human approach and less commercial approach.

    Staff absolutely lovely

Location, villa very tired in need of refurbishment and very expensive

    8EliPosted on: 9-11-2024

Location was incredible. Staff were friendly. Spa was on a totally different level, and the 3 bed pool villa was absolutely perfect way for our family to relax after a lot of traveling around.

The food was OK but not at a level it should be to compliment the wow factor of the rest of the hotel, it was also much more expensive than food we had enjoyed elsewhere.

    8JulienPosted on: 9-4-2024

Beautiful beach and lagoon, with great service. Private villas are spacious and the overall service is efficient, friendly. The resort is nicely designed and offers easy access to other beach clubs nearby.

Breakfast was rather basic, with very limited offering at the buffet (ie. no egg station!) There is only one restaurant and another small food counter at the beach club. Compared to Bali standards, I would recommend to not eat at the hotel and go out. The food served in the resorts is overpriced / not as good VS other restaurants in Uluwatu

We had a beautiful villa. Quiet, private and a really good size.

Unfortunately, we experienced a really unwelcoming check-in. As well as being treated rudely, we were given no information about the hotel, restaurants, etc. This is important because the hotel has many services to offer and multiple restaurants that we really missed out on several great opportunities given we were there for only two nights. Separately, the hotel charges USD5 for a small bottle of still water. There were no large bottles of water available, which was really odd. Lastly, some of the staff were really focused on the upsell. At every turn, someone was offering us an upgrade for 10M Rpis or a late checkout for 6M Rpis. It felt a little desperate

An incredible experience overall, we enjoyed everything this resort had on offer. The villas are spacious and luxurious, the bed is very comfortable! Everything is clean and spotless. The food at the restaurants was exceptional! Staff was attentive and accommodating at every step. I also loved the morning yoga classes with June. Thank you Karma Kandara, we’ll be back.

The only thing I would offer may be improved is for packages that include full/half board to actually include dining at both Di Mare and the beach restaurants. It is incredibly annoying to have to come back from the beach to Di Mare to have lunch in the middle of a beautiful beach day. I would also be happy to pay a little more to ensure I can order everything off the menu without having to be told it’s not included in my package. This would make the experience absolutely seamless!

We LOVED the staff, all of the local staff were simply sublime. Everyone was so friendly, courteous and helpful. The location of the hotel is gorgeous, I would suggest either going early or later for breakfast to get the best view. We also really enjoyed the food, we had lunch and dinner at the hotel and every dish was delicious!! I am sure I had a pandan coffee (less sweet) daily, if you love pandan, you will love this drink! We were also very lucky that the weekend we stayed, they had a resident artist that I liked that was offering a workshop. It was a really nicely planned event; painting by the beach was such an amazing experience. Their beach club was also really lovely, shame that their lift is shut down by the government at the moment but their shuttle bus system works just fine. Definitely worth checking out! Food down by the beach is not as nice as the food by the pool though. The location was perfect for what we needed as we flew in for a wedding at The Ungasan.

The reception lobby area is fine but just the set up is a little odd, room for improvement I would say. There are not a lot of buggies and sometimes it takes a long time to get one so I would suggest if walking is an option, walking might be a better choice. The PR lady is nice and she is always around trying to connect with the guest...but I would say maybe she is not so socially savvy as to reading the room. A few awkward encounter where we were having some private conversations and she just awkwardly hung out but its obvious that she takes her job seriously and is trying to be helpful. Book your spa early because it fills up super fast, we didn't plan ahead and missed out on a spa day so can't vouch for how good it is but some of the rooms had amazing views. The crowd is generally a little older and more families but overall very peaceful and serene.

the location on the cliff, the views and beach below the manager did everything in his scope to make our stay more comfortablethe pizzas on the beach club are really good

It was a huge disappointment vs expectations and price paid (over 600$ a night). If you pay a lower price and you think of it as a 4 star resort, then it's acceptable. We never got the villa we booked on this platform. Following complaints, we were moved to other villas, some smaller, some bigger. But always different to what we booked. The entire experience was not 5 star, the list is long... (on arrival/departure no help with suitcases, they give you a cheap office chair to sit down at the desk (at a 5 star resort!) , the breakfast is crowded and you have to queue for a place, tiny ridiculous buffet (we found out the 2nd day that for "our price" we could order from the menu), the phones in the villa are out of order (one was not even connected to the wall!), the elevator to the beach is not working (you have to take a bus or go down 300 steps), the entire resort is a dangerous labyrinth of walls..

    8AnnemarijnPosted on: 7-11-2024

The staff was very friendly and the reef just outside the beach was lovely. The service was also great, with quick responses. The app worked really well!

The property was very far away from the hustle and bustle of Uluwathu. Access for disabled non existent as lots of steps. You have to be superfit to get to the beach as if you go with shuttle bus, there are still quite a number of high steps to climb/descend. There was also a very hard sell on becoming a member and felt ambushed by the sales team.Lobby very small and crammed.

    5BrettPosted on: 6-26-2024

Villa was nicely presented, and private.Staff where diligent on keeping pool area and villa clean however on our arrival there was the prior people staying at Villa plates, and ice bucket left for 2 days on steps leading into our villa !

House keeping was slack, some days we had hands towels, next day we didn’t, then had no complementary fruit (As advised) The prices within the resort for food, drink were heavily loaded up, x4 times when compared to outside the resort at other destinations like Seminyak, Kuta etc. villa had no washing facilities for cleaning of beach gear or anywhere to hang wet beach/pool clothes ? Plus no food storage cupboard for snacks etc. During our stay Karma group did a sales pitch about joining Karma club, they asked how was our reception, of which we informed them, disappointed as the welcome was poor. They replied saying, “oh it’s because you used Booking.com and not direct with Karma group ! If we had apparently booked with Karma group our experience would have been totally different!!! Also, during our stay, construction noise daily occurred whilst trying to relax at our pool area, so we ended up at beach most days due to noise pollution ongoing as another resort being built next door.

    Location

The villa we upgraded into was old and falling apart. Cellophane holding wall tiles together (told by the staff that’s fine) mold on the shower etc. the staff there are constantly trying to upsell. I messaged to tell them to stop yet they turned up at the villa two more times unannounced and many more calls to offer deals on packages and events. Even on the beach they would come down to try and upsell.
