Vila Shanti Beach

Location was great, breakfast very good, grounds were very quiet and lush

Our room #15 had sewage smell in the bathroom upon arrival. It was apparent that this unit was not used for awhile because the shower drain was bone dry and effectively does not prevent sewage gasses from entering the bathroom. We had to keep the bathroom door closed to prevent the odor from entering the rest of the room. We decided to live with that condition since we were going to be gone the entire next day on a tour. I informed the hotel the next morning and requested that they get hotel engineering services to resolve the issue. Upon return it was not resolved but a little better. I suspect our use of the shower resolved gasses from the shower drain and it was a matter of time for the odor to dissipate. We did notice an air freshener was added to the bathroom. The next day the issue was not resolved but we just decided to live with it since keeping the door closed was good enough for us. In hindsight she should have requested a new room.

Mouldy shower sealer needs to be replaced along with shower heads . Easy fix

BED MATTRESS WAS TOO HARD .

It was central to everything on the Sanur beachfront. The staff were extremely accommodating and very friendly. It was a perfect unwind and one night stay for our final night. We loved hiring a bike and riding the esplanade, and bar hopping along all the beach clubs.

The gardens where lovely and well kept location was great

Upon arrival the staff where not so pleasant quite abrupt. Room was not what we expected at all, because of there being 3 people I wish they would have said you need 2 rooms. In the end we didn't stay at hotel we left that day

Beautiful old style ambience. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Clean, well maintained older style resort in the perfect beachfront location.

Peaceful and quiet.

Older plumbing, the pool got quite hot and could do with some shaded area. Although advertised as having triple rooms it is in fact a twin room with an extra bed put in the room which may not always suit for three people.

Great location. Comfortable and clean room. Breakfast is good. Staff friendly and helpful. Asked for twin room and they were happy to accommodate.

I think it’s a little overpriced for the hotel itself but location is great and comparable with what is around.

Room towels were discussing color! Nothing to prevent from mosquitoes! No consents for chargers! Phone was not working for early morning assistance! Not enough sun-beds for all staying customers

The room was right on the beach and was nicely decorated, clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They came each evening, as well as in the morning, to replace the towels and turn down the bed. There was a good selection for breakfast and they cook perfect poached eggs.i was also impressed that they are working with the community to extend the coral reef to provide a safe environment for the many beautiful fish.

The location was great, right on the beach, easy access to great bars, cafes and restaurants.

The rooms were very tired, bathrooms need a complete renovation, the shower over bath arrangement is tricky to navigate and we are not elderly!. The only powerpoint for charging devices was in the bathroom (the one outlet in the bedroom was for the tv). And please, please can they stop wrapping the breakfast cutlery in plastic, what a terrible waste for the environment!!!

Location is good. That’s the only thing.

Horrible breakfast, AC is loud, the room has leaks so animals and mosquitoes come in easily, looks like a hostel, you can book a villa for almost the same amount and get more for your money. After traveling Bali and islands, this is so overpriced and for what. We stayed here at the end of our stay. I wish we chose something different.

Great location on beach walk, close to Icon mall. We loved that we could get around from here by bicycle. We loved the lush gardens and pool. Breakfast was also good.

The location is amazing. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and very helpful. The gardens are beautiful .Breakfast was fine , nothing great but more than adequate. The rooms were clean and the cleaning staff very nice and helpful

Unfortunately it took 3 rooms for me to be found a room that had air conditioning that worked and was ready for habitation. this was unfortunate and spoiled the stay .The reception staff were not very helpful or amenable ,The two initial rooms I was showed were not able to be slept in. which lead to a lot of movement in the first day. I then upgraded to a superior room which was much better . Overall the rooms require an upgrade .The staff on the reception we found were not helpful and not very friendly .

This hotel is right on the beachfront , close to the new Bali Icon Mall and close to the main road in Sanur where you can find some great places to eatThe pool was nice and cool a bit small but the hotel wasn’t too busy. The style of the hotel is traditional Balinese style and the gardens were beautiful and it was very quiet and peaceful not a lot of kids mostly older guests. If you’re not fussed about all the fancy 5 star hotel things you will enjoy your stay.

The hotel is a bit old and dated, the standard room had no windows, wellIt had 2 with no glass only wooden shutters and was quiet dark inside, not bright light the photos show, book these deluxe rooms they look like they have been updated with lots of light Our door lock was a padlock with a key on a keychain which is a first, but the doors are traditionally carved in wood so hard to do a proper lock I guess The water pressure wasn’t great the bathroom door was worn and had some weird metal covering, the bed was a bit hard I didn’t mind it, the pillows were lumpy and you only got 2 on the bed, the towels were worn and old and barley covered you The breakfast offered is very modest not much choice and the coffee wasn’t great we ate breakfast out most days

Aircon struggled and the stairs up to the room were large and hard to climb.

Bad management, if you like location yes, otherwise avoid it across the road find half of it price and better values for money
