Pros +
- The staff was quite friendly.
- Perfect location hadn’t it been for the palm trees being cut all day long across the valley.
- Owner was really nice, and the pool was nice too, Modern rooms and had a kitchen
Cons -
- The rooms are old and poorly cleaned, with disgusting old dirty dishes and cobwebs everywhere. Dusty canopies and old bed linens. The air conditioners are located right behind the bedroom wall, creating a terrible noise in the bedroom around the clock, making it impossible to get a comfortable sleep. Like most Balinese guesthouses, this one was undergoing some kind of noisy renovation. I stayed at this guesthouse many years ago and liked it better last time, but now everything is very outdated, very dirty, and much less comfortable.
- The property seemed very neglected, the smell inside unbearable and there was a constant noise in the background (chain saw,), not exactly relaxing.
- When it rained, water leaked in, and something really weird was that after the cleaning staff was there, My suitcase key was unhatched from the keychain and sitting in the suitcase, and also 2 other keys was off the keychain. Really weird experience, but the other stay was perfect.

The territory layout is surprising. It is seamlessly integrated into the jungle-like surroundings. It looks less like a hotel and more like a getaway house. Morning views are astonishing. There are even special viewpoints and meditation zones where you can see the Agung volcano when the weather is good. There are tons of little harmless creatures around from frogs, geckos to squirrels and cats. Nature sounds are calming. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Mountain View room is great, but other rooms look attractive too, each with it's own specialty.Infinity pool on a jungle cliff is something to remember too.
Nothing to complain about. We would be glad to stay again.
This is a secret hideaway away from the bustle of Ubud. My kids and I loved everything about it from the fantastic hospitality of the hosts (drove us to the local clinic, drew us maps for our stay and gave tons of recommendations)to the gorgeous pool and waking up to the spectacular view of the jungle below and the sound of the river. We loved having our own private kitchen (even though there is great food just a minutes walk away) and especially the wonderful massage- just wish we could have stayed longer!
The view was great and the staff were super friendly
The air conditioner barely worked. Everything was aged and falling apart. The pillows were old and thin, the furniture was falling apart, the windows were stained with calcium, patio furniture barely usable. Awesome view but has not been well maintained. Not worth the price
The view is stunning, it's like a hidden gem with magical vibes, full of arts in the building, strong character.
The bathroom amenities is very poor. The body soap is empty, in the other room we even can't find any label of the shampoo and the body soap so we can't indentify which one is hair shampoo and body soap. We stayed in both villa (the older villa which full of arts and the newest villa with bohemian style). In the older villa, we found the gas leak on the gas stove. In the newest villa, it also has 2 bedrooms: 1 big bedroom and the other one is smaller room, but we found that the bigger bedroom has a smaller bed than the smaller bedroom.
Fantastic place in the middle of the champuhan jungle with amazing views from common areas and room over to jungle and beautiful garden and infinity pool. Absolute treasure of the place. Looking forward to stay again.
Maybe 1 bedroom villa toilet can use a slight upgrade as it is little worn, but then it comes at a perfect price so still worth it. 2 bedroom villa has upgraded bathroom and so is room called galleria.
amazing place beautiful views and Daniel and staff a pleasure x miss it already just arrived home to the cold ? x
This villa is beautifull view of jungle valley. So you can really relax in the middle crowded your job in the central.Morning or night just watch at the nature in front of make our head so fresh. We meet the owner so nice person he gave us many information about the area and things to do. Finally we spent time with my little family.Cant move on with this villa.thankyou ?
need tv for movie time, offer all is awesome
Hidden gem! Full of character and charm. Daniel is a generous and lovely host, who even picked us up in the rain when we got stuck during our stay. The view is breathtaking- especially from the third story! Can’t recommend enough, especially for the price.
Fantastic view and authentic equipment. Very friendly staff and owner.
Staff is so helpful incredibly nice... The view is also incredible. I like the
is so old and has lizards everywhere. The house is in the jungle. And roads are full of cars in ubudI don't want to talk about kitchen...
Location is perfect and staff are great. With scooter very easy to get to everything you need. The place is not your standard hotel but a rather unique retreat with artwork and beautiful gardens. Great hot showers.
The kitchen was not left very clean, but after cleaning it is a serviceable kitchen with all the basics needed to cook all meals including dinners.
Incredible view, comfortable bed
Loved the choice of AC or fan, but fan only worked on fastest setting
I enjoyed the location, near Ubud's Center - 10 min max by scooter, yet very peaceful. Beautiful view and pool. Apartment looks like the photos showed on booking. Little tasteful Warungs in walking distance 2-10 min. Drinking water and kitchen are included. The owner is very helpful and caring. You can rent a scooter at the place, so no need to run around. They will also arrange a massage at the villa. Had a very nice stay and will come back.
The views over the jungle is stunning! You don’t get many secluded places this close to ubud. It was nice to have a whole Apartments with kitchen and everything.
Great locaton, stunning view to the river valley, good acess to Ubud by taxi and friedly owner with good advises
Needs to be better cleaned (e.g. canopies were full of old dust or toilet bowl has not been cleaned all our stay, towels have not been exchanged)
Nice villa, close to nature, with amazing views and sunrises. It is close to Ubud (15 minutes trip), and we used a taxi to come to the villa. It has a comfortable swimming pool - good for kids as it has a separate area for children, but also perfect for adults enjoing the view :) Although there are a couple of villas at this place, we were always enjoing the schwimming pool without other guests. The staff was very friendly. We definitely can recommend Tirta Asri villas!
The swimming pool could be a bit cleaner (comparing to other villas in Bali), but it was not critical
The villa was quite a distance from the Ubud City Centre and we really liked that the surroundings were just nature instead of a bustling city. You pretty much wouldn't be able to hear the roads or any noise and hence it is very peaceful. Place was clean. Wi-Fi connection was good. Air-con was working well.
As the location is surrounded by some forest or jungle, there are insects that escaped and flew into the room.
