    Pros +

    • Most of all the staff is just amazing. Always helpful and friendly. I liked quiet and piece even though it's in the noisy center of Ubud. Breakfast was also incredible, they bring it to your terrace.
    • The location was superb, exactly what we were looking for. Very close to the center, the monkey forest, etc. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good.
    • Best location! right there will all shops, spa and good restaurants and yet tranquil because the rooms are far from the main road

    Cons -

    • The place has a bit too little facilities for the price. It's mostly for staying and the pool. For the food, drinks you have to go to the city.
    • They could have more light on the entrance pathway, but that’s just a detail.
    • Water pressure in the shower was average, and pulsed, obviously being pumped up hill. Not a major complaint at all, but worth noting.

Great staff and location. Quiet but walkable to many restaurants

Centrally located, yet quiet and set back from the main road. Beautiful gardens and rooms. A lovely pool area. Welcoming, wonderfully helpful staff. Lovely in room breakfast service.

Water pressure in the shower was average, and pulsed, obviously being pumped up hill. Not a major complaint at all, but worth noting.

Traditional style which felt very homely and welcoming. Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. Tucked away from busy main road, its tranquility is a welcome relief after a busy day. Loved the outside bathroom as well - what a treat! Breakfast delivered to our own balcony each morning was lovely too.

    Nothing!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was lovely and authentic. Peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed everything about our stay!

The bathroom needs a bit of ventilation, perhaps an extraction fan will be useful to help with the musty smell.

This hotel is an absolute dream. Although it is located in the busy area of Ubud, it is set off the main road. As soon as you step through the archway, you find yourself in paradise. The garden is incredibly beautiful, and the view from the terrace is fantastic. In the morning, you can have breakfast brought to your room while enjoying the wonderful view and listening to the birds. Don't miss out on the Nasi Goreng! It's gorgeous! My bungalow was huge and very clean. The bed was not too soft, which I really liked. The bed linens and towels were clean and smelled great. ???You have everything you need—plenty of power outlets, adapters, toiletries, and water dispensers that are refilled as needed. If you want dinner or lunch, you just have to walk up to the main street, where you'll find a wide selection of restaurants. Alternatively, you can order food from Café Wayan and enjoy it on the terrace. The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and the prices are more than fair. But the best part is the staff. You won’t find anything like this anywhere else in Bali. It doesn’t feel like staying at a hotel—it feels like being part of a warm and loving family. Always kind, always friendly, and always helpful. You can ask anything, and they’ll immediately assist you with advice and support.I booked a trip to the Jatiluwih rice terraces and the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, and it was wonderful. The driver was very kind and drove safely. I was so relaxed that I even fell asleep on the way back.I originally planned to stay for only four nights, but I found it so incredibly beautiful there that I extended my stay by another four nights. Since my bungalow was already booked for someone else, I was allowed to move into a truly huge suite—at the same price. Which was an unbelievable offer. The suite was so spacious that I almost felt a little lost ?? but the staff was always happy to have a chat, making me feel right at home.

    Nothing to complain about

the pool, the bathroom with no windows, the breakfast,

curtains were very light, so woke very early

Fantastic staff who couldn’t have been more accommodating. Room was really nice and in a lovely quiet location 130mts off the busy road but never heard a thing once in the room.

Not exactly a dislike but would be nice if they offered cold drinks to purchase when in your room or around the pool.

Staff amazing and breakfast was lovely

Bed a bit soft with dips in

It is a paradise in the centre of Ubud. Unbelievably quiet taking account the proximity of the busy streets. The architecture, decor of the hotel is absolutely amazing traditionally Balinese. It is a perfect place to start your Bali trip. We also loved to spend time at the pool in the lush garden of the hotel.

Beautiful Balinese architecture and the staff, particularly Robot, are amazing. This is my second stay with Kebun Indah because the first day a couple years ago was wonderful. The location is as ideal as it gets and this hotel offers the most generous breakfast I’ve ever had in Bali. The services are amazing, including laundry done for such a minimal price. The beds are super comfortable and the balconies are generously sized. Air conditioning works great and wifi is strong. Everything you could possibly want is right outside the front door within a five minute walk.

    9DanielPosted on: 2-17-2025

The room is generous and secluded, we were lucky to have views of the pool. The Balinese breakfast was great. The gardens and fountains and pool area are especially lovely and feel like an oasis from the chaos of the street. There are restaurants and shops right outside, though the walk into central Ubud is a bit further than we thought, so the hotel very helpfully drove us in and arranged pick up at no extra cost. They were also very kind in letting us leave bags there before and after our stay. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. All in all, a great place to stay if you want somewhere tranquil but still close to central Ubud.

I stayed in Sandat room, the view was exceptional, after the busy day, this place offers serene and peaceful, ubudian Bali vibes. Very close to nature, and you can hear the river running in the background.

the rate is actually quite high for the place considering breakfast is not included. Perhaps could benefit by giving free coffee or tea in the room. Thanks.

This hotel is situated is a temple-like garden, away from the busy Ubud streets. Each suite in the series of small buildings is unique and offers a tranquil outdoor patio area. Our garden room felt like an authentic guest house from another era - a charming experience.

Arriving at the hotel requires a 5-7 min walk from the main street. This means rolling and sometimes carrying (down a few stairs) your luggage on a narrow and somewhat rough path to the hotel gate. My daughter and I are reasonably fit and still found this challenging in the midday heat. The walk is worth it! And it means no street noise. But visitors should be prepared. Also, the suites are located on a slope, so there are some stairs to be navigated, especially toward the pool area.

Our first time in Bali and we could not of picked a better place. The location was good just a short walk from the monkey forest and so quiet, it was hard to belive we were so close to the busy street. The staff were all so friendly and we really felt looked after. From arranging a driver for a day trip out to ordering and serving us dinner on our balcony from their resturant in ubud nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast and afternoon tea also served on our balcony was delicious. We would not hesitate in recommending Kebun Indah and hope to return one day soon.

Kebun Indah is gorgeous, traditional accommodation in Ubud. The garden surrounding the rooms is stunning and feels like you are in the jungle! We loved that the accommodation is a short walk from many restaurants, bars, spas, yoga barn and even the monkey forest! The staff are extremely friendly and the breakfast is served in your room each morning which is a real treat. We stayed in a 1st floor pool side room which has a large balcony which was perfect for having breakfast or chilling in the afternoon. The staff are very helpful when it comes to organising drivers or giving tips and advice on activities.

We stayed at Kebun Indah during rainy season which meant there were a lot of bugs in the outdoor areas. If you a freaked by mosquito and ants then maybe avoid this accommodation during the rainy season. That said, there were no bugs or mosquitos in our room and the bed was equipped with a mosquito net. The facilities in the room are slightly dated but everything worked perfectly so we have no complaints.

Quiet location away from the hustle and bustle with very friendly staff. The afternoon tea was a great touch

The only downside was the pool was quite far away from our room
