Pros +
- Nice relaxing Resort- pool and restaurant lots of nooks to chill out with a book, attentive staff. Spa is excellent- facial and massage top notch. Room was good size, nice outdoor bathroom.
- It’s perfect and clean and there’s no insects that make me so comfortable on the stay , and they give you a welcome drinks and sweet ! The staff are so friendly and so cute
- Property is quite pretty. Breakfast, room, and personnel were all just really quite lovely. While the location isn’t central to Ubud (a plus for me but a consideration for others potentially)it’s a nice balance as it’s very quiet and peaceful. It’s also quite personal and small sized.
Cons -
- Not much in the immediate area within walking distance.
- I felt it was in the pricier side for what was offered compared to other similar boutique hotels. Restaurant menu for dinner seemed less Indonesian focused and more global. This might be a plus for some Travellers.
- I have to say, I didn’t totally love the fully outdoor bathroom situation. It was my first time staying somewhere with the shower completely outside, and while it sounds dreamy in theory (hello, tropical vibes), the reality was a little…awkward. One afternoon, I was mid-shower, soaking up the view — and suddenly locking eyes with a hotel maintenance guy tending the garden. ? To be fair, he immediately turned and walked away behind the foliage, but let’s just say my zen moment was over. That little surprise aside, I still really enjoyed my stay at Blue Karma and would totally recommend it. Just a heads-up: if you’re planning to enjoy the outdoor shower, definitely keep that privacy curtain all the way down unless you’re into unexpected guest appearances!

I had a lovely stay at this beautiful property — it’s incredibly peaceful and quiet, perfect for unwinding. Getting to Ubud city center was super easy (I used Grab bikes), and while I didn’t use the free shuttle, it’s a great perk for those who want a hassle-free ride into town. The bed was so comfortable — I slept like a dream! I also appreciated the twice-daily room maintenance, including a nice turndown service in the evening.Breakfast was a real standout — absolutely incredible. I couldn’t get enough of the granola bowl and tofu scramble. I also had dinner at the on-site restaurant, The Botanist, which was delicious and super convenient when I wanted a relaxed night in.

Great pool, very calm location, great breakfast.
Lack of privacy in the rooms.
This hotel is one of the best experiences I've had at Bali. The whole place is very isolated and incredibly well designed and decorated, super stylish, especially at night. The rooms are traditional Bali style, big and cozy. It was truly recharging to stay there for few days. The staff is super nice and helpful.
Room size, a bit small, but the staff was really helpful, and they showed me a bigger room as well. Although, I stayed in the smaller one only, but they were very cooperative and offered me a free massage because I complained about the small room size. The gesture was really great. Would live to stay again and again there. The resort is beautiful and serene. Each space has been designed to get you feel comfortable and relaxed. Amazing service! Even they came to make my bed for sleep! Such a warm hospitality. ??
the room is spacious, although the views didn’t match what the photos promised. The pool is nice
We booked a jungle-view room with a hammock for two nights, specifically the Mimpi room.Unfortunately, the reality didn’t live up to the pictures. The hotel looks much better in photos than it does in person. It feels a bit outdated and has several tacky decorative touches. The room is made of wood, and you could tell it was old — there was a persistent musty smell that filled the entire space.Breakfast was underwhelming, and the menu is quite pricey considering general prices in Indonesia.Honestly, after paying 550 USD for two nights, I expected much better service and facilities. It fell far short of expectations.I wouldn’t stay here again. There are so many options in Ubud, and for this price range, you can definitely find much better alternatives.Other things to keep in mind: the hotel is quite far from central Ubud — about 25 minutes by scooter.
I liked everything about the hotel. It was a fantastic stay, friendly staff, nice food, room were super nice!I would definitely visit again if I plan another visit at Ubud!! Highly recommended!
Nothing! It was an exceptional stay!
Breakfast, staff and room were fantastic.
Nothing not to like.
everything was perfect! the food! the vibe! the room and the service! place is no doubt very beautiful! will come back again!
Meals were great , staff very responsive . Cooking class and massages were added wonderfully run . Walk thru rice field to ubud it better that the ridge walk from ubud
Minor things , didn’t change towels as required and not refilling shower soaps
The property was pretty good also the food & breakfast was pretty amazing.
Open Bathroom towards the rice field was not comfortable due to random bugs & insects coming to the bathroom .But they changed our room the next day to make our stay comfortable for the next day
Peaceful ambience Excellent food Lovely, helpful staff
Difficult to manage pathway of stone steps on slopes for a walking stick user & a lady in her 80s
Amazing place to stay in ubud with great amenities and lovely helpful staff.
The place is peaceful and calming and has all the modern amenities you need for a relaxing break.
nice and helpful crew, quiet place, good food and drinks
the walls are very thin
There is not much to like about this property. Set more at the top of Ubud it is extremely peaceful. The pool is amazing and a great restaurant and plenty of cabanas around the garden to lounge around in.
If I had to say something which was not a huge issue it would of been my mattress - would grade this a 7 out of 10 and my room was not a isolated villa it was suite next door to someone else’s where I could here everything at night.
The venue is stunning, with beautifully maintained surroundings and a serene atmosphere. The decoration of the rooms is absolutely charming, with a beautiful blend of traditional and modern elements that make the space feel cozy and stylish. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I loved the added touch of the mosquito nets, which is not common everywhere. The cleanliness and tidiness of the entire place were top-notch, and it’s clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining the property. Beautiful pool with stunning views! The food is a highlight—breakfast was delicious every morning, and the lunch and dinner menu options were equally impressive. Everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and we’re already looking forward to our next stay!
I loved the staff and that they looked after me so much. My bed was made before bed again with a little card and a story about the people on the island
Everything was good
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! What impressed me the most was the amazing staff—they were incredibly attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. The location is perfect, offering both convenience and beautiful surroundings.I truly appreciated the level of care and thoughtfulness put into every detail, which made my stay feel effortless and comfortable. The food was exceptional, with a variety of delicious options that catered to every taste. And, of course, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax. The hotel’s attention to detail really stood out—everything seemed carefully planned to ensure a memorable experience. I can’t wait to come back again!
