Puri Payogan Villa

It is out of town with a beautuful temple next door which was having a ceremony. The staff was wonderful and were willing to help us with anything we needed. They were also great with our children. Breakfast is good with a great jungle view.

Transport is only once a day into town and back, but they will pick you up for 50,000.

Avoid at all cost. No joke.

Where do I even begin. I never really wrote a bad review, or a let alone a review. Here we go. We booked Puri Payogan for 2 weeks 1 year in advance and based on the pictures we were beyond excited. It was such an insane disaster that we did not even stay a single night after checking in. It was extremely dirty, extremely moldy, very dirty bathtub, 1 almost finished toilet paper by the toilet. The mold is coming in so hard its pushing the paint off the wall man.. You can't miss it. Why nobody did anything? I swear no one cleaned this room, nobody cared about anything, dirty windows, dirty glass. Hot water knob was missing from the bath, there was no hot water and we were told "you can't use hot water, mabe fix tomorrow" no one told us about that before hand and they knew. And MAYBE? Very dirty pillows on the bed, outside pool is very very dirty like there was fog in the water like you wouldn't wanna get anywhere near it. After seeing all this there was a guy at the reception who barely spoke english, was very inconpenetent for this job, a very nice guy though but he was totally lost. We asked him to call someone here because this is unacceptable, we want a full refund immediately. The whole place and room was inhumane. We have been to a lot of hotels but this was more of a kennel for dogs. Whoever this guy called about the issue they were laughing on the other end of the phone and after hanging up he said they said no refund. And we didnt take no for an answer. I asked him to call them back, tell them to come here, call the owner, and we will talk eye to eye in that "room" full of mold and dirt. Then he said okay they started the refund process. We are still in their what's up chat meaning they did not check us out when we asked them to do. On Booking I still had the hotel listed like I'm staying there. No one did anything or give a damn. We never complained anywhere but this was crazy, we just did not matter at all.

The people were nice.

The room was thick with black mould. Sheets and towels were dirty.

Great accommodation, staff were excellent. Nice pool. Room was enormous and very comfortable..Couple of nice restaurants nearby, especially Balinese Home Cooking, 5 minute walk.

Location, quite remote so needed a taxi to go anywhere.

Great location 10min outside of Ubud so nice and quiet. You will need to Grab or a scooter to get around though.

Could do with some fresh paint in the room.

The staff were so attentive and nice! They helped us to get a bike and with anything we may have needed.

There were so many steps up to our room. The rooms were not cleaned properly, the sink was leaking. The location was good it was quiet as it wasn’t too central but the path down to the hotel was extremely bumpy. There were also flies and ants in the room.

Exeptional comfort. Luxuriours feeling. Lovely environment in the valley. Quiet and private feeling. Tasty breakfast.

One receptionists did not understand well english or forgot what I kindly asked.

I absolutely loved my stay here. The suite room was far bigger than I expected with fantastic value for money. The staff were nothing but fantastic, always saying hello, offering any help and smiling away. The grounds were great and the location is brilliant as it's still very peaceful and quiet just outside of town. The bathroom was next level amazing with a huge stone bathtub and a huge size. I really loved the stay

The room was overall clean and I was pleased, but if I had to choose one thing, it could have been a tad cleaner.

The power in the villa will shut down number of times while having shower. It was annoying as it will happen about 5-6 times a day.But staff was good, they would run upto the fuse and turn it back on.To fix the problem owner has to run a separate power cable for water heater and pump from air-conditioner.

The room had moist/humid smell. Everyday we woke up with chest filled kind of feeling. A better ventilation might help to make the rooms more liveable.

We have a very good experience staying here! They provide such an amazing services, friendly and helpful staffs also made us feel so comfortable. The room also clean and spacious. They have bubble soap for the bath up that i love the most! The outdoor bathroom is totally perfect! We love our stay here and definately will come back soon!

Beautiful and quite place a little bit out from Ubud but reachable in 10 mins.Suites are really comfortable and spacious; pool is amazing.Ideal to enjoy your time in relax and peaceful mindStaff is really kind and helpful

We liked the two pools and the breakfasts brought to our rooms each day. The property itself is quite beautiful, with many steps!

Two out of our three rooms were a little mouldy and hence smelly. Thankfully one of our group who was not satisfied was quickly upgraded to a larger room.

I is under basement. Hard to breath there, no ventilation. It is place is not save living. No airconditioner, it hard to breath and smell is really back like cat urine and pup

Owner doesn't specify that it is not under basement at ALL. Very low celling - I barely can stand there. Very claustraphobic.

The staff was amazing and the location was great. Room cleanliness was good

It would have been great if the leaking basin in the bathroom was fixed.
