Abipraya Ubud

The hotel is marketed as being in the centre of Ubud - its true. Here the strengths end. You can’t walk from hotel to anywhere as the traffic is crazy and no place for walking on the side. There some good restaurants arounds. The rooms are not too clean , mosquitos are part of the room, curtains around the bed wee dirty, reception was polite and called taxi when needed, but we left one day earlier because it’s not really comfortable and no refund. They clearly know the the hotel is not correspondingvto pics but once you payed money , it’s gone, no matter what. I would think twice before booking it.

As described earlier, not really clean or comfortable, location is not as good as advertised.

I liked the pool. Breakfast was ok but a bit limiting with options. Location was great though and had easy access to food. Just traffic is awful because of how narrow the roads are. The room was okay with a comfy bed.

No fresh towels at times. We also paid for laundry but got charged an extra kilo even though it was only 3 kg (got charged for 4kg). We weighed it before when it was dirty and got pressured to pay for 4 as the staff member paid for it out of their pocket so we just paid it so that he doesn't get into trouble. Next time I would recommend you weigh it first, take a photo before giving it to staff to avoid getting overcharged and scammed. They don't have laundry facilities on site so they had to take it elsewhere, which might also explain the lack of fresh towels but as a hotel to not have your own laundry facility is a bit disappointing tbh. Breakfast was from a menu (not a buffet) so it was a bit limiting but still not bad tasting. The shower head pressure from our room sucked so bad. It was like the water was trickling down. the bathroom didn't feel very clean tbh. The bathroom was also not very ventilated. There were bugs around the place.

Great Location.The market is closely.The Water Temple and Ubud Palace is walking distance.

Shower curtain is missing. We got room on second floor. But the staff helped in getting luggage up and down. The bed was not very comfortable.

The landscape and service were very nice.Very centric. Easy access to restaurants.

They had run out of nasi goreng and mie goreng at breakfast. If you can't get Indonesia's two most famous dishes.....?

Location is great. 10 minutes to Ubud Palace and market and 20 minutes to Monkey Forest. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Pool with a little rice field view was clean and refreshing in the mornings after pretty nice breakfast offered by hotel. Lots of restaurants,mini markets and shops around. Towels and bedsheet were clean. Shower stream was surprisingly strong , because I have stayed in three different hotels in Ubud and most of the times they have similar issues with water pressure being weak, or lights being too dark/dimmed. (Lights were dark in all hotels I stayed in Ubud). The garden and the little pond with fishes made the atmosphere very relaxing even though outside the main doors it is quite busy.

Only that bathroom was humid and would get smelly. But I was a huge bathroom and door could be closed. Also leaving the ventilation on when leaving the room helped a bit.

The location is great, walking distance to the local art market.. nice water pond with lots of greenery.

The property needs some renovations, door lock with key hard to lock, there is no facial tissue paper in the room or they don't provide it at all. The bathroom needs some renovations as well, there is no exhaust fan in it. The swimming pool looks so old and the water doesn't seem clean or at least the bottom of the pool seems dirty. I haven't seen anyone using the pool during my entire 4 days.There is no bar or restaurant, all they provide is basic breakfast which also you need to tell them on the night for the next morning. Pictures on the website seem so great but in reality it's not up to the mark. I will give it a 4 out of 10.

Breakfast disappointed

it was a very good experience for the price we paid. The location is one of the best things about it—right in the center of Ubud, close to lots of great coffee shops, local markets, and everything you might need. At the same time, it still feels somewhat peaceful—not completely quiet, but calm enough to relax.The staff were so, so friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even better. Don’t expect anything fancy or luxurious, but for the value of money, it’s really good.

Walking distance to centre of Ubud. All staff were very polite and friendly. Breakfast was good considering seeing some negative reviews before. This property has absolutely beautiful well maintained tropical garden.

This accomodation is very old and needs a major facelift. As soon as we walked up to our room we realized it is nothing like we saw in booking.com website. It was very disappointing. I believe all pictures have been photoshopped, or they are really old pictures(??)Cracks on doors and walls, found a bunch of somebody else's hair on the floor, mould on shower walls, slippery shower floor, and bathtub looked like it was never cleaned so we didn't use it. Furnitures were old and dirty. It was difficult to eat or drink in the room because there was no table. Sofa had seating cushions and backing from another sofa, it was different material and wrong size, it was impossible to keep sitting on it as you just slide off onto the floor because the seating cushion is a lot bigger than the sofa size. Minibar fridge looked like they bought it in a secondhand shop. Also there was a hole on the wall....I could keep going.....It's a shame because this property could be a such beautiful place.....

Excellent location, lovely staff and delicious breakfast. Rooms are lovely and really spacious too!

The rooms have french doors to the balcony which are not completely sealed to the floor making it easy for bugs to get in

As soon as we walked through the doors, it was like you had come to bali. The gardens are amazing with little nooks to sit in. The staff were so friendly and there when needed. The room was just the right size and the bathroom massive. Really really enjoyed our stay as u weren't far from hustle and bustle and at the end of the day u could retreated into your private world.. looking forward to next time... ?

Everything was perfect. The staff, the room, the porch with a view to the rice field, the breakfast, the pool... Loved it all so much that I extended my stay. Thank you so much for making my short vacation so much better than expected!

Location and staff are extremely great. Facilities are good but will need maintenance/refreshment soon. Overall — highly recommended

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view from the terrace over the rice fields was so peaceful and the pool was perfect to relax and have a swim. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Also got our laundry done and they packed us a breakfast box at 2am for our hike. The room was great - we had a few small things that we needed them to fix and it was done by the staff very quickly, thanks! It is close to nice restaurants and a Grab taxi away from the busiest centre streets.

Location is great , in the midst of the tourist hub, restaurants, walking distance from Monkey Forest, Ubud palace, staff is so hospitable the greenery in overlooking the garden view has such a beautiful ambience. Will definitely come back again. ❤️❤️

Very little, the greenery around the hotel was good, they have planted so many trees which looks good

Our room didn't had any tissue paper/box, not the facial tissue, just a normal one. I went up the reception and their reply was you booked the delux room and it's doesn't have it. I was told to check my inclusions on booking.com as it will tell me what's included in the room. It only comes in the suite. A tissue which is given at smallest of restaurant and this so called 4 star hotel is suggesting me that I should have booked the other room instead.The shower head is extremely filthy and the handheld one doesn't have any water pressure to it. I asked them to clean the main shower head and when we came back, nothing was done.The room size is humongous but there isn't a place for you to put your bags on and organize it. They do have old style wardrobe but more like 2 star hotel. ?? When the people on the above floor walks, you will hear it. Not all the rooms are the cottage style. The room just has one charging socket and definitely it's not next to the bed. So good luck charging multiple devices while using it!Similar to bedroom, bathroom is also very big but not clean. Its definitely dated and has smell to it.We paid 153$ for 2 nights, similar price was paid my other friends at other 4 star hotel and the experience is vastly different with pool breakfast. I would 100% get a bit smaller room but a cleaner and decent room.
