The Kayuan Lumbur Resort Ubud

Highly recommend this resort and have a lovely stay - Santi and Dewi and the rest of the staff treat you like family, welcoming you with open arms and always asking what your day looks like and offering to assist in any way. I booked last minute as I had an issue with a precious accommodation being surrounded by noisy construction. This is a gorgeous, well maintained resort tucked away in a peaceful spot by the river and the forest - right near Ubud (7-10 minutes scooter or 15-20 min taxi). Very clean and modern but also has the Ubud and traditional Bali charm. They did everything to make me comfortable and feel at home. I received a lovely water blessing upon arrival and I was sad to leave! Amazing value and would stay again for sure! I hope to be back very soon! :)

Small thing - I personally found the bed to be too firm for me and had trouble staying asleep / tossed and turned a lot but that’s a personal preference as some don’t like too soft beds either. Bed and suite was huge and blankets and pillows comfy and the team will do anything to try to make your stay more comfortable, including bringing me a fan and immediately checking in on me if any concerns.

Tranquility! This property is further away from Ubud, on the edge of the forest. If you are looking to relax and rejuvenate it is perfect.

Limited meal options. As stated it is far away from Ubud therefore a car or bike is needed to eat out. No lights anywhere at night on the roads so bring a torch if you’re walking

Very nice resort surrounded by nature, pictures are accurate. Facilities are high quality and clean, restaurant is very good and the included breakfast had 5 or 6 delicious options to pick from. Staff were amazingly attentive and kind.

The price to pay for this calm nature retreat is being quite remote from town and you'll need transportation for anything; well worth it in my opinion. We had a slight issue with the shower not working after a rainfall but the staff fixed it right away.

Beautiful setting and pool area with very friendly and helpful staff. The sauna is a bonus.

Ongoing construction in and around the hotel which was distracting. Due to the location being far from the centre, I would've expected the hotel to offer a free shuttle service. Breakfasts were good but could be improved.

While the road to the hotel was a bit questionable, the resort was exceeded our expectations! It felt like we were the only ones there but we knew we weren't. It was so peaceful. The food was great. The staff was amazing. Felt at peace at this resort.

Not that we really needed it, we did miss having a tv as background noise at night (this was not a romantic stay for us).

We loved the jungle surroundings, facilities and lovely staff. Only problem was the road into the accomodation was a bit rough, but not the fault of the accom

Great food, great service, lovely staff. Lovely pool. Had a massage there and it was really good. So close to Ubud but yet a little oasis on the edge of the city. The road up to it is very narrow and a bit off putting but that shouldn’t put anyone off as this place is worth the trip.

It’s a very new hotel. It’s a big yoga shala and amazing infinity pool facing back of the monkey forest. Surrounding by the nature and wake up with natural sounds is amazing. Staff is extremely friendly and thoughtful. Breakfast is nice and good portion.

So beautiful and peaceful. The staff were the sweetest ever. Pool, hot tub, generous breakfast all wonderful.

Not walking distance to any restaurant/cafes/shops or yoga. Need a Grab which thankfully were easy to book.

We felt relaxed right from the moment we checked into the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by nature, a river and as a bonus a view of the monkey forest. Incredibly beautiful pool that we wanted to spend all day long by. The staff were very friendly and tried every minute to help us with every question we had.We can only recommend that resort.

It was beautiful, scenic, and serene! It’s just far enough away from the chaos of ubud and you have everything that you could possibly need on site: restaurant, gorgeous pool, sauna, hot tub, they bring in professional masseuses when you schedule a massage. Very clean. Get the app Grab (it’s like Uber) and there are tons of Grab taxis available within minutes. Highly recommend.

The most beautiful accommodation we had in Bali. You just don’t want to leave this place. Staff is super kind, they care about you, help you with everything. You can also rent there a scooter.

Be prepared on geckons, and insects, as the resort is located in pure nature.

Far from streets with cafes and shops, no way without taxis or transport (for some this may be a plus). Few options for breakfast, they take a long time to prepare :(

Staff were excellent. Food was good. The rooms were very comfortable. thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Cannot walk around outside the resort - its surrounded by nature(which is perfect for some). Property has a car and driver so you can leave whenever you want(prices are also fair).

The staff were incredible, so kind and caring. It felt like you were part of a family. The resort is stunning and not too far from main city centre of Ubud. The rooms are lovely. Spa treatments were incredible.

Cannot fault the resort

Kayuan Lymbur is so relaxing. The staff are like family, so lovely nothing is too much trouble. Everyone was super friendly, happy and helpful. Couldn't recomend it enough. If your lucky you will see the monkeys who come twice a day to feed. We ate ay the hotel several times. breakfast each day and Dinner on a few occasions. The food was delicious each time. Our family joined us one evening and were very happy with their meals we had such a lovely evening ?. Luhana in the restaurant is so attentive, and Sante in the office checked in on us along on stay to make sure we were happy. Sorry I don't remember all the names but such beautiful people. Thank you all for our wonderful stay. We will be back.

It's a little far from town but the local taxis are super efficient and cheap. It costs approx £2 to go I to town. But the fact that its a little out of town means you have so much relaxation while you are there.

Everything... staff are amazing and would go over and above to make us happy.. gardens are lovely...Food lovely...

Staff were so kind and helpful. The resort was great, quiet and have nice facilities, love the pool and sad I didn't have time to use the hot tub during the stay. Breakfast Nasi Goreng was so yummy!

No shuttle bus service to the city, the location is quite far from the centre and I have an experience to stay a resort like this location but they offered the shuttle service so it was easy to go out, but this time we always had to call a taxi.Restaurant had many aunts, we didn't spill the food but ants came to table so fast, can be improved.
