    • This was such an amazing way to start off my vacation. I arrived and it was the most beautiful and quiet area. I loved that it was just a little walk to Central Ubud, but yet it felt like you were staying in such beautiful cottages. The staff always smile
    • Serene, quiet.
    • Beautiful property, full of nature. The spa and the restaurant were amazing. I felt like it was my own little oasis. The tea on the terrace was such a special touch. Everything is very thoughtful, beautiful and welcoming

    Cons -

    • Slow service at the restaurant. Food taste lacking.
    • Wouldn’t change a thing
    • I miss the beautiful flower decorations that used to be made by the gardeners and that were strewn around the gardens. Now replaced by neon lit symbols.

We stayed with my 8-year-old daughter, and we had a great time! She loved the pool and the friendly sheep and cats around the garden. The place is super beautifully designed, and you feel connected to nature. The staff were super friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived.Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, and the pool was perfect for a relaxing dip after exploring the Ubud area.Highly recommend for a cozy and eco-friendly stay in Ubud!

Pretty much everything! The rooms, bungalows, gardens, feel of Swasti, its attention to beauty and now its food too is amazing! A stay at Swasti is a real treat! Since we last visited, the restaurant has expanded & the food was the best we have ever had at Swasti & on par with some of the best restaurants in Ubud. A very diverse, creative, stunningly presented menu, totally delicious and nutritious food. Best free breakfasts too. Beaming service: Thank you.

The property is a peaceful retreat, we didn't leave at all for the first day as everything is so beautiful. So when we walked up the road to the busier street, we realised how cocooned in tranquil nature we had been, yet so close to Ubud streets. It's situated on a quieter street of Ubud, a short walk to the Monkey Forrest and some delicious local warungs as well as International food choices. There are also hilarious kittens which provide endless entertainment for kids and adults. The cafe looks over the lotus blooming in the pond, with the sound of goats, birds and nature being all around. The yoga shala is a beautiful space to use, with seasoned yogi's teaching. The most important part of Swasti is the kind staff; they make the stay so comfortable, we loved chatting to everyone and learning about Galungan festivities and the cultural dress where everyone looked particularly beautiful all dressed up. The food is beautifully prepared and much is sourced from the organic garden that you can walk around. Everything makes you feel a little bit healthier and less affected by anything you were stressed about before your arrival. Also the massage will likely result in needing to sleep like a log afterwards as all your stress disappears.

Nothing really worth mentioning. I loved the tea in the morning, would be nice to have access to the teapot/ kettle throughout the day in the room.

The hotel is undeniably beautiful, its design is serene and calming, with a peaceful atmosphere that really does feel like a little slice of paradise. The pool area is lovely and well looked after, perfect for relaxing or taking a quiet swim. The reception staff were kind and attentive, always ready to help and welcoming in their approach. The rooms are thoughtfully designed and comfortable, with great air conditioning and cozy beds that made resting easy. One detail I also really appreciated was the morning delivery of tea and coffee to the room!

I was quite disappointed with the restaurant, which had actually been one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. I had hoped for wholesome, nourishing meals, but in my opinion the food lacked flavor (like the rice porridge) and was overly greasy (like the vegan salmon wrap), it didn’t feel very healthy to me. It also seemed like the meat was simply left out instead of offering creative plant-based alternatives (delicious vegetables/ tempeh/ tofu…).I also didn’t feel very welcome during my visits to the restaurant. Some of the staff seemed quite annoyed and impatient, especially when I needed a moment to decide what to order.I had also in general hoped for a wholesome and warm environment, but the overall vibe felt more commercial than heartfelt. While staff were polite, it often felt transactional, friendly because they had to be, not because of genuine care. There didn’t seem to be that extra touch of generosity or connection I was hoping for. It lacked the loving, community-driven spirit I imagined when booking.

Breakfast was very delicious, a lot of vegan meals. You could also fine one or two types of meat ones. Overall, very satisfying with the food. There are a lot of activities/offers every day. Tip: Sunday you have all you can eat for 100k and 50% on SPA.

    Need more meat options meal.

It’s was a really pretty and nature driven property. Their own gardens to produce a lot of their wonderfully special food and beverages. This is a vegetarian/vegans dream come true- I am neither - and I loved it.

It’s pretty old- but if you like that - you’re good!

We stayed at Lilou house for 6 nights . Really enjoyed the breakfast and coffee . It was the best cappuccino we had in Bali. The room and bathroom were big and clean, and the big bed was very comfortable . The garden is wonderful, lots of beautiful trees and flowers. And the sheep were the main attractions for my almost 2 year old baby girl. Also, the pool is really nice. The location is very good, in a nice and quiet area, you can walk near the Sacred Monkey forest and see a lot of monkeys. They have a nice spa, I enjoyed a very good relaxing Welcome to bali massage.

The house Lilou definitely was not the best one that we could have stayed in at Swasti. It had big stairs to go to the bathroom and also in the room , and since we were with a small child it was difficult, and also we stayed for 6 nights, a large period of time comparing that a lot of people were coming and going while we were there, I would have expected to receive a better room.. When we arrived, I was disappointed when I first saw the room, as I expected a room like in the first pictures you see in the booking.. but also we were really tired and jet-lagged, so unfortunately did not think about requesting another at that moment. Otherwise the room is nice, but as said I would have appreciated it if they offered us their best option in our case. Their restaurant doesn't really have many options for lunch and dinner, but you have very good restaurants nearby.

A little paradise in busy Ubud in great location. Even some monkeys from the Monkey Forest came to hang out by the pool one day. People were just amazing all the time.

I loved the stay entirely, but bear in mind it's an eco hotel, don't expect a big brand hotel standards :-) Such as the window to bathroom is open without glass window, you can get privacy by folding the blind, which does not fully prevent mosquitoes from visiting :-) I loved every minute in Swasti

Nice big garden, value for money, great fresh food prepared on the spot, yoga classes available, very nice staff

    There is no complaint

    6CamillaPosted on: 1-23-2025

We loved the gardens and the cottages.

We have stayed before and they had a buffet breakfast. It used to be the best breakfast and we still talk about it. This visit they no longer did the buffet breakfast and it just wasn’t the same and was really average.
