Paisa Ubud

The rooms were nice, the staff were really kind and really good breakfast.

The walls were too thin and we could hear all what was spoken in the rooms next to us.

The staff was the only good thing about the this place

Rooms are so close to each other , you literally can hear others breathing! No privacy!

The beds were really nice and I’m happy to have stayed at this place since it’s on one of my favorite streets and neighborhood! The staff are so kind as well!Nice to have a tv where we can stream a lot!

Nothing Everything was lovely

We recently had our second visit to Ubud and our first stay at Paisa Ubud. Our experience was generally positive, though it had its ups and downs.Paisa Ubud is nestled in Gianyar, about a 20-minute drive from central Ubud, depending on traffic. Upon arrival, the walk past local residents' homes can be a bit intimidating, but once inside, the homestay offers a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally nice and friendly, and the breakfast menu was varied, served at a time we preferred, directly to our room. For those who enjoy soaking up the morning sun, there’s a small table and chair set outside the rooms.Our room was spacious, featuring a large, comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean, equipped with convenient shampoo and soap dispensers attached to the wall, and had a shelf for personal toiletries. Additionally, the room included a refrigerator stocked with drinks (20K each), water, a kettle, two mugs, tea, coffee, and creamers. There was also a hairdryer, a desk, and a wardrobe, though we wished for more hangers as we only had two each.Parking is somewhat limited, given the homestay is on a narrow street. There is a parking bay in front of the homestay big enough for two small cars, but it was always full with one car and many mopeds during our stay.The final days of our stay were slightly marred by the arrival of a family next door, who didn’t adhere to the homestay’s ethos of maintaining a calm and relaxing environment.Despite these minor issues, I would stay at Paisa Ubud again. It was reasonably priced, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped.

One downside was the extremely poor Wi-Fi, which forced us to use our mobile data. Despite the limited TV services such as HBO, Cinemax, and local channels, Netflix never worked for us, so we were glad to have brought our Firestick.The homestay also features a small outside pool, which, unfortunately, can get quite noisy. One evening, we were disturbed by a staff pool party that lasted for a considerable amount of time. The thin walls didn't help in muffling the noise.

Breakfast was good

We booked 3 nights and left after our first night.Rooms ARE NOT 36m2 as mentioned on booking. Room was definitely less than 20m2 including bathroom and “balcony”(we attached a picture). Very very very thin walls, you can clearly hear what your neighbours are doing or talking, so if you are sensitive sleeper we would not recommend this place. We were very disappointed. Staff didn’t offer us a new room and ofc we didn’t get any money back.

This is a lovely place and I really enjoyed my time here! It was so good that I actually decided to extend my stay ? The breakfast is delicious, the people working here are super kind and the place is cozy!

If you want it to be more quiet I recommend staying on the second floor since it can get a bit noisy on the first floor since people are walking by etc!

I really like the place is inside the Balinese family house, we enter the lobby and walk through some traditional houses and feels like living with Balinese vibe

The room not really sound proof, so we can hear other people open the door and that was pretty loud. Please improve

Decorated nicely and clean

The walls were so thin you could hear everything. Also the air con did not work properly-on powerful wasnt even a light breeze and was so hot I had to pour water on myself in bed--complained 3 times about it to be told it is OK for our standards

Nice and beautiful therritory, architecture is also ?, staff was kind and carefull, room was also cute, clean, all new inside, with working place, big comfortable bed, good and pretty big bathroom, AC, wardrobe- all was good ?

Indonesian neighbors grilled a barbeque at the night time and at the early morning??, all big family with many children, accuped a swimming pool and grilled their barbecue directly near by our room, it was loud all the time, it smells bad, all clother smalls grill fat something ?‍♀️? and we hear them all the time

I stayed 2 nights here during the Ubud Writers Festival 2023. Room was simple but adequate and clean. This boutique hotel, only 10 rooms, is at the back of the land, so you'd have to walk past the neighbours' houses. After check in, they'll walk you to your unit and help with your luggages. Try to get the rooms with shared balcony, the views from there are better. Breakfast is sent to your room every morning at your chosen time, you choose the menu the night before. There is a small pool in front of the downstairs rooms. Like most Balinese hotels, service persons were polite and respectful. This hotel is deep inside a secluded area, but there is a modest eatery at the nearby junction called Cafe Vespa that serves delicious meals where I ate three times!

If you’re thinking about booking this place do it! Rooms were immaculate, bedding was the comfiest in Bali in a month, food was amazing & the staff were so helpful! Wyaan was extremely friendly and happy to help with anything, a true hospitality superstar! Was unfortunate that other guests staying didn’t have a lot of respect for the staff here during my stay, gentle reminder to be kind to these lovely people even if there’s a little language barrier. 5 stars ⭐️

Couldn’t fault a thing.

Quiet spot away from the road. Netflix and prime included in my room. Fresh towels every day if you wish. With pool towels at reception. Clean and safe.

The WiFi was not good for a digital nomad.

The rooms look very nice and come equipped with kettle and tea cups. Large bathroom.

Loud sliding door. You can easily hear the people in the rooms beside you, above and outside as though they are inside. The pool is close by and kids were playing in it till late hours. Would not stay again for that it was noisy. The rooms were small and the bedframe jutted and had pointy corners which is easy to bang into accidently.

It was very beautiful and well thought out. I loved that there were animals on the compound, they were all so cute. All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful at all times. Just a very good atmosphere overall

There is no extractor fan in the bathroom and there are no windows in the bedroom, so you can only have the aircon to ventilate the room. This is bad because either way mould forms on the bathroom ceiling and also the aircon was not kind on my sinuses and air ways. I was coughing and sneezing every single night but I had no choice to keep it on because it gets way too humid without fresh air circulation. This was incredibly uncomfortable for me.

It's a little far out, and really not an easy walk to the shops outside or the centre of Ubud. if you're not using a scooter, getting a car to go out and back to the hotel can be a little troublesome.

Location was excellent, rooms very clean and friendly staff. We really appreciated the clean comfortable room and the staff so willing to assist if you asked for anything. Great to have a pool with the kids. By far an excpetional location close to Cafe Vespa, Coffee Shop, Yoga, and corner shops. Very safe and welcoming locals in quiet and beautiful Panestanan.

A few more things in the room - lamps by the bed, more hooks or places in the bathroom for personal items. The room in the corner that we had was a great size but very close to the room next door but not as sound proof as it could be.

The location is extremely remote. In case you need medicine or medical emergency there is nothing nearby. Also it doesn't detect in grab or gojek.
