Arya Arkananta Resort & Spa

Facility was serene and beautiful. Staff was always helpful, able to facilitate activities and assist in whatever plans you have. Removed from the busy areas but located in a perfect position to do anything in Ubud or Bali in general.

No complaints whatsoever

The resort ambience was nice. The staffs were exceptional and the service impeccable. Bed was comfortable.

The resort needs maintenance. There were many insects inside the bathroom and too many lizards in the room. The resort should think about becoming wheelchair accessible to accommodate special need people. The food could be improved. Other than that the resort was very nice.

We booked the 3-bedroom villa with a group of 5 people. Both the property and the villa were beautiful and the staff were efficient and personable. One thing I liked is at every meal on-site, they asked if there food allergies. While no one in our party had any food allergies, that level of consideration is something I hardly see with international travel. This extra mile really shows a lot about the care and consideration of the amazing staff. A few of us booked the jet lag recovery spa treatment, which was phenomenal. Also, we all really enjoyed the onsite dining for both the food quality and friendly service. One thing that makes this property stand out is its connection to nature. Everything except the bedrooms in our villa were open-air. After breakfast in the morning, I personally just enjoyed walking around and taking in how lush and beautiful the surroundings were. I personally enjoyed sharing the space with the geckos and hearing the roosters in the morning!

We loved this property so much we wish we could’ve stayed longer! No complaints!

Very beautiful and quiet place. The atmosphere is very painful. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner included, great food, good quality. Staff are nice and helpful.

Not so big room and maybe a bit dark.

Peaceful setting amongst the rice paddies. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely living space in a covered outdoor setting and spacious enclosed bedrooms. We were in the 2 bedroom villa.

Having to take a shuttle into Ubud but this was unavoidable due to the resort’s location.

Peaceful serenity, staff were so friendly and helpful , food was healthy and flavourful

We stayed 4 nights in a Deluxe Double Room. The atmosphere of the hotel is very nice. The staff is excellent. All of them are very polite and you can reach them very easily. The room was very clean and locks authentic at the same time. Haven’t seen any bug or mosquito in the room. That was very important for us.The surroundings of the rooms are really nice, full of trees and a small pool inside the middle.

The towels need to be changed. They are pretty old. They can also consider to change the soap and the shower gel brand. They don’t seem to foam at all.

The restaurant had vegan options, the villas and suites were well spread out.

The road. It’s very narrow and even with scooters you have to be very cautious. In addition, all the dogs in the neighborhood make it impossible to walk.

This place was great - awesome location just :15 minutes from a drop-off near town and with a frequent shuttle throughout the day. It’s far enough away to be tranquil and quiet, but close enough to easily enjoy daily visits in Ubud and other areas. Staff were attentive and quick to offer guidance or help as needed. We did two full day tours with one of their staff drivers, Dewa (who also did our airport transfers) and he was wonderful. He even gave us a tour of a local temple and shared about his personal experiences (and allowed our many MANY questions over the 2 days with him ?). The pool was relaxing, the spa had enough variety for several different services over the course of a few days, and the surrounding scenery was beautiful. The breakfast was reliably good, and the afternoon tea was a thoughtful pick me up. The staff clearly care about providing their guests with a premium experience and seem to constantly be working on things to offer (acoustic music with special dinner menu, for example) as well as seeking feedback.

My only frustration during our 5 night stay was related to the spa and scheduling. We had services on 3 separate days; 2 of those times they were running late, and 2 of the times we had a hiccup with the bookings (booked for shorter duration than confirmed, and didn’t book separate rooms). To be fair to the staff, I believe these were all unintentional, but it did sour the experience a bit. I’d recommend if patrons show upLate to services, the service only last the remainder of the original time allotted, or be rescheduled with a fee. While we didn’t travel with children, I think this resort is more suited for quiet and reflection and may not be the best place for families. They did have some larger villas with private pools though, which could be a good option for those cases.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, spacious, and had great views of the inner rice gardens and pool. The property was beautiful and peaceful! It was an oasis from the noise of Ubud. The breakfast was great! The Staff was very helpful. The shuttle was convenient.

The special Balinese dinner and dancing was over priced. The food for that meal wasn’t as good as the other items on the regular menu.

Location of the property, although a few miles from town provides a different experience.Excellent spa and restaurant on site.

More use could be made of the pool area

The hotel grounds and our villa were beautiful. We spent a lot of time just relaxing on site. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the ease of being able to walk to the restaurant or order room service until late at night since we were traveling with our baby. We got stuck in our room one afternoon during a heavy rainstorm and the pool area in our garden became flooded. The staff was very quick to fix the issue.

We weren't able to do several things that were offered on site since we were traveling with our baby. I had reached out beforehand and they had assured me booking the cooking class/yoga/ etc as a family wouldn't be an issue. Once we were there, they asked us if we would get a babysitter for our son or if my husband and I would just do the classes at separate times. We would have probably planned our days a bit differently had we known this would be an issue.

Staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful.Room was clean. Peaceful location, away from the traffic. 24 hour reception who shuttle to the pick up drop off point in buggy. Spa treatments were great. Free shuttle into Ubud.A tour was organised with them and our driver was fantastic.

The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious; we highly recommend anyone planning to stay to choose a package that includes breakfast. Our dinners were also fantastic, and the entire restaurant team was warm, welcoming, and attentive.The spa was also absolutely wonderful – we felt so relaxed and satisfied with the experience. Everyone was incredibly kind, and the facilities were impeccably clean.From the bellhops to the front desk, housekeeping to the management team, everyone made us feel so welcome. It truly felt like home.Thank you for your spotless rooms, friendly service, delicious meals, lush surroundings, and for welcoming us with such personal touches, even remembering our names. Everything was great ?

great resort in quite interiors of ubud , plush green all around.

there are no shops or much amenities nearby since its a private resort away from the downtown

It was spacious and comfortable. Love the atmosphere and the magnificent view.

The room wasn’t exactly soundproofed so be prepared to hear birds chirping, cicadas or toads singing, and leaves touching the ground. In other words, fully surrender yourself to nature and let go of the bustling traffic noise.

The staff and accommodation was outstanding. Everyone was really helpful and friendly. The breakfast (which was included as part of my package) was delicious and more than enough. The location was a couple of kilometers away from town, by the shuttle buses made it easy to get to any from town. The room facilities were nice and clean. It was a wonderful stay.

Great resort in Ubud. Staff are very attentive and the hotel property is on a paddy field.

A bit far from city centre but it was fine, the hotel arranges transport.

Everything: the location, the service, the flexibility, THE FOOD , the Yoga, the pool... I am already planning my return trip!
