Bhuwana Ubud Hotel and Farm

Except reception guy things were fine.

Reception is very bad, specially a guy in night duty. He doesn't have manners to talk to customers specially with female. He refused to provide the alternate option till we called his manager.

Garden type of property. Very green and comfortable look.

Too many steps to reach the rooms…even on the ground floor. The front desk staff were NOT friendly at all…

Had one day breakfast. While there aren’t any Indian items and no specific vegetarian items, staff does make customisation and provide.

More options for the vegetarian cuisine.

Nice rooms, great pool, friendly staff, shuttle service to central Ubuc

Not really a "didn't like", but traffic along the road to central Ubud can be very busy and it can take a while to get back to the hotel (if you walk or taxi).

I like the people and the kindness of always wanting to help you and to make things better for you.

I didn't like the fact that people took my helmet or the communication part of it

We stayed at 4 different hotels in different region across Bali. This is the best out of 4, a hidden gem1) Totally peaceful despite being in the centre of Ubud2) Room is clean and very spacious3) Furniture is a bit outdated but still comfortable4) Enjoyed the pool also

1) Breakfast is a big let down. The portion is very small and needs to share the sides !!!!

Only that they did not provided yoga lessons in the hotel at the time that we were there (good to update this on the website)

The rooms were lovely and the pool area was very nice. They offer a shuttle service to Ubud central which is very handy although I didn't actually use it because the timings did not fit in with my plans. Staff werr very friendly and helpful..

Bathrooms were a little old and maybe need a little upgrade

I liked the hospitality and kindness of the workers, the view and the environment was another level, if you like to see the nature when you wake up this the the perfect place

There was some lizard ? but they are harmless and like to stick on the up wall mostly in the pool and restaurant area,,, another thing i was waiting for buffet breakfast but it was set menu but it was nice

Lovely staff, disappointed by management

To be honest I have stayed here many times before and this time I was a little disappointed. I like the hotel, I like the rooms, I like the staff at the restaurant and other helpers around the property. This time, the breakfast options no longer included the smoothie bowls. I am grateful that they are eating fresh and eating local, and that meant the fruits chosen for the bowls weren't available, I just wonder if it's not possible to replace that with some other healthy options. Because these were removed, the only option was continental style breakfasts. Secondly, one of my party got sick and we had to call in a doctor and go to the hospital. We couldn't travel and this meant I extended my stay to the end of our time in Bali (I had a duplicate paid non used booking elsewhere), we pretty much were stuck in the room. I asked for a late check out at 4pm, but despite the circumstances this was only possible by paying 50% of the daily rate. I was disappointed, I am a regular, the staff know us, I just thought that human kind was better than that. Am I expecting too much, I dont know, it just didn't feel right.The staff generally are really lovely, they know us, are friendly and helped. It was the policy of management in a difficult situations to a regular customer that just sort of didn't give me a great feeling about what sits underneath the running of the hotel.

The suits are the best rooms, away from noise, the room is big, the bed and pillows are comfy, the staff is amazing. We stayed here several times and came back 3 times in one month. The breakfast was good, we loved the smoothie bowls, the coconut water in the morning. It is away from the busy center of Ubud in a quiet location. We also stayed in a normal room, ground floor and superior. The superior is a bit loud, you can hear ducks, roosters and motorbikes from the main road, also the rooms need a bit of renovation. The pool is nice, they have a shuttle to the Ubud center (runs twice a day). You get water bottles daily. The staff is so friendly and helpful, it made us feel very cozy.

I really liked the pool area and just general feel of bali, the lovely views over nature. Its close to TT Batu if thats your thing, and under 10mins to yoga barn. The scooters on site are very high quality. From the pre-reading, I had low expectations for breakfast, but I thought the breakfast options were actually really nice and they were yummy, from smoothie bowls, to the big classic american breakfast, to avocado smash. The smoothie bowls can also be taken back to your room, put in the freezer and make a nice ice cream! I was really nicely surprised.

Breakfast wasn’t very varied. The drain was always blocked.

Out of Ubud centre, which is nice if you want to completely be away from everything, but far to get everywhere. Staff works by the book - anything extra that I asked they either said I had to pay or didn’t know what to do. Like peace of bread or more granola - “you have to pay extra”. I need 2 towels for the pool “you are only 1 - rules say 1 towel”. No breakfast buffet, very poor choice of breakfast and lunch/dinner menu. All prices much higher than out of hotel + applied with 2 types of tax, and 3% on top if you pay with card. Rooms very dated, not really clean. Shower head didn’t work properly. Windows didn’t open properly. Massage rooms uncomfortable, massage oil smelled old, masseuse was sick and coughing.

We had one of their new suites. The bed was amazing so comfortable, big size and lots of pillows. Bathroom was great. Nice large shower and bath tub.

There was a smell issue in the bathroom

The Room is so old need renovation. The water from the shower is smell not nice. The glass of the shower is dirty. The wooden door of bathroom has a hole. The most annoying is the room has awkward smells. The hotel offer us to move to other room below but the smell even worse (stronger).The stuff in the reception is fine try to help politely but the stuff that help us with the Luggage is so rude, screaming to me rudely. Was not a pleasant experience.

Not all amenities were available. However good for price.
