Flower Garden Eco Village

Location was nice

Food was not good. The walls in the room were thin and neighbors' conversations could be heard.

The staff were friendly and helped us with everything! There was a very nice and clean pool. And also a big menu with food

The gardens were lovely. Good choice of buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly.

The decor, bedding & outside cushions on sunbeds are worn & tired, photos on website a bit deceiving regarding the condition of the place.

The breakfast potato curry and string hoppers were good.

When we arrived, we weren’t greeted in any way, just given a form to complete. Once completed we were shown to our room, which had no electricity and no one could make it work. They changed our room. We had electricity that went off approximately every 12 hours and we had to tell someone so we could have it turned back on. Not possible at 2am. It took 2 days for anyone to offer to clean the room (1 clean, I mean emptying bins, in 4 days) and for us to be able to tell them the air conditioning wasn’t working. They did repair the AC and things were better, it’s always easier to go about life when you aren’t existing in a sauna. About the same time the AC was repaired the termites started coming through the floor and building their towers, I think the biggest got about an inch high. We told the hotel twice about the termites but they weren’t bothered so we just manoeuvred around them.As you might have guessed, the room was filthy. The shower dirty, the shower curtain had never been cleaned and the AC unit was covered in mould.We booked half board because I knew that there weren’t many places around for eating. I let them know we were vegetarian, no problem I was told. We were given a choice of 14 meat dishes and spaghetti with tomato sauce. The spaghetti tasted really unpleasant so we managed to get a vegetarian curry the next night, unbelievably that was worse than the spaghetti. We went to the local shop and made our own sandwiches the third night. The fourth night was Christmas Day so we risked it. There was a special buffet for 9000 rupees!!! All meat. But we were given a menu to choose from the vegetarian section. Hurray! We ordered a vegetable chop suey with rice and a vegetable platter with chips. We got a plate of veggies and rice each.We were glad to leave.

Close to Sigiriya Attractions. Quiet location. Pool is large with shady trees and umbrella cover.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. The first time was definitely better. Our room definitely needed some maintenance. The linen was not really up to satisfaction. The staff had very little english so communication was average.

Poor customer service and below par facilities (leaky roof in our room).

Only the staff was friendly and humble

The first room that they gave us was too dirty, blood marks on the bed sheets, too many insects (dead or alive), towels were dirty and used. Luckily we had our own backup towels and bed sheets. After we complained about the room and they rather better room but still not good enough. There were no hot water at all. That place doesnt deserve the single penny spend. They need to find better staff for cleaning.

Rooms are good, location was exceptional, staff are super friendly

Food is not that good. They need to have inside locks on the doors for safety so you can sleep knowing no one can enter. Called to get a few things fixed and get the wifi password they never came.AC was a bit slow

Friendly staff, quiet atmosphere and beautiful garden. Close to the Lion’s Rock for the sunrise visit.

The experience was amazing, great location tucked away in a little forest and the facilities were really beautiful. Stunning pool and gorgeous use of flowers and trees. The staff was amazing, friendly and super helpful. My mother forgot her toothbrush and one of the staff drove to the nearest shop to get us one free of charge, superb service. Food at the restaurant was delicious and the view was very nice too. It was also super close to the Lion Rock in Sigiriya, less than couple km away, would definitely return next time I am there.

It had a very nice pool! 2 lovely dogs. Good beds and large room.

Bathroom needs replace of toilet seat it was very dirty also window was broken, not nice for animals to come in at night , needs to be fixed (room 11)

Pool was nice. Breakfast was good but really only 1 optio offered… eggs, fruit & toast.

The environment is calm and quiet and walking distance to Sigiriya. The staff is friendly and helpful. Food is very tasty. The bathroom is huge.

Good pool. Interconnecting rooms were good. Quiet. Reasonable value for money.

Showers ran cold. Cleanliness (dirty light switches etc). Bathroom a bit grotty.

Friendliness of the staff

Everything must be in order. It was problems with water, pool clearness, but it was quickly resolved.But it should be checked before my arrival.
