Amazing location and big area. as big beautiful garden. There are many interesting birds and animals here. Staff is maximum attentive, and kindly. Very delicious breakfast lunch and dinners.

Not enough sunlight inside and outside Villa. Darkness inside rooms . Tea is bad. Gym is too small (10x10 meters, as if they don’t have enough land)

This property is very special, with its private bungalows and lush natural surroundings. The staff are very attentive & professional. A unique experience in Sri Lanka.

Beautiful location, wonderful grounds and facilities, amazing wildlife literally outside your door! Riding Rolex was a wonderful experience.

Reception isn’t 24 hours so when we were out late to attend a cricket match in Dambulla, we couldn’t get back to our room at first because everything was locking up and it felt too far to walk in the dark with no torch. Thankfully some staff had not yet finished and were quick to help us! Evening menu was very limited with only one vegetarian option per day.

A luxurious property set in acres of scenic grounds. We enjoyed using our bikes to explore the property and after cooled off in our plunge pool. The rooms were very comfortable and well well proportioned. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice place but food and wine are a rip off

Food and wine was extremely expensive for what they were , e.g a $10 Chilean Merlot marked up to $60 and a $20 NZ Marlborough marked up to $150 . The “special dining experience” was a $200 curry rice meal with one drink , total rip off

What made our stay really memorable is the staff, from front desk agents, to waiters at the restaurants, to the guys driving us around with buggies, to people servicing our room. They have been amazingly kind and hospitable with us. It is difficult to pick one in particular, but if we have to name one we would say Kusal, who on our last day came especially to pick us from the lake and drove us back to the reception. Not only he gave us a small tour but also told us lots of interesting facts about the fishermen and the animals living in the area around the lak

Beautiful place. Isolated from the town but the location is beautiful. You can ride bike around the rice field and lake. If you’re lucky see an elephant. The woman at the elephant centre was very nice and we learnt a lot! I am glad we stop for a chat.The diner experience was amazing! We booked the traditional diner with 27 dishes cooked traditionally in clay pot and open fire. I recommend this hotel!

Everything was perfect - the main mansion house is gorgeous, our pool villa was massive and nuzzled in a lovely quiet party of the estate where we benefitted from privacy and the sounds of the nature around us. Food was fantastic as was service. We went on an amazing horse ride into the lake, our guide took the best pictures!

The breakfast was excellent with several juice smoothie options. Their Eggs Ulagalla were fabulous. The breads and pastries were also excellent.

Having to take a buggy back and forth to the room wasn't ideal and yet it was not a problem either. The cost of the activities seemed high and accordingly I did not avail myself of them.

Well maintained and perfectly clean. Staff attentive. Safari with Shaku was an outstanding experience from start to finish.

The breakfast was nice but I think I would have preferred buffet style breakfast.

The price of food and drink given this is Sri-Lanka is high. Probably best to go half board.

Such a luxurious property, insane location and well looked after. It is also a lot bigger than booking.com suggests it is from the description. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and made the stay even more special.

Food was excellent; staff were very friendly and accommodating; the views from villa 18 and tranquillity outdoors were exceptional.

Room service delivery time could have improved; understood that they were a bit understaffed and didn’t have enough buggy’s to ferry food around as quickly as we would have liked

Fantastic collection of 25 chalets in a 56 acre property each with its private pool and landscaped wilderness so you have complete privacy. All the staff from Thisal who helped us with the luggage to Sumanarathna seeya who can give a rich history of the place were warm and hospitable to a fault. Food is exquisite and the bicycles allowed us to explore the whole area on our own. Overall, unparalleled experience

We have been to this property already twice and will keep coming back. The service in particular was excellent, over and beyond expectations
