Sigiriya Forest View

The facility is roomy and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and well-mixed between American and local Sri Lankan -style e.g. shredded coconut with honey to dip with the bread and the coconut roti.At night, the area is quiet and serene, with local animals roaring and some fireflies flying around.

The Wi-Fi was so slow.

Basic breakfast, great location for the pidurangala rock(10 min walk), 400 rs auto to sigriya rock. When we first arrived, has buses in front of the house to habaranna/dambulla(only few times in morning), only 2 cafes near it, wifi worked well, great for quiet nature stay. Perfect if you have your own transportation as very difficult to get a tuk tuk there. A/c worked well. Friendl family and owner. Can rent bicycles at property , owner can arrange transport

Cellular network did not work at all. nil or very limited food options, has a few mosquitoes but the mosquito nets work very well. Easier to stay near Sigriya rock as more food and transport options

The tree house was upsolutly amazing,And the owner and his wife, are so welcoming and wonderful. Definitely my number one recommendation in Sri Lanka

This is the perfect place to stay for a simple, budget friendly but private option supporting a local family. Lovely, relaxed location out of the main town but close to Pidurangala rock. Room was clean and had a fan which was nice. The owner is the most wonderful, warm person always catering for your needs. She gave me free cake and offered water every time I went out. Delicious breakfast too.

Nice treehouse in beautiful setting. Meals ordered by WhatsApp and delivered to room. Quiet except for early morning jeeps. Cheap.

Problems with food - I couldn't eat their included cold breakfasts so had to pay for omelets. Limited menu with some items unavailable. Prawns with fried rice unexpectedly had what I think was chicken or pork in it as well. I was billed incorrectly. They charged me for a dish I ordered that was not available instead of the cheaper dish I had. They also charged me for items I did not order (fruit and bottled water) which they brought to my room and said were free or included with meal. I left a day early as I couldn't eat any more of their food. Safari problems booked thru hotel - I was told to pay the full price for safari at the hotel at checkout. Then jeep driver wanted full price at park entrance. I did not have much money or my ATM card with me. Fortunately driver had some money so I was able to do the safari. Then I wanted staff to observe me paying balance back at hotel but they were not available by WhatsApp. Finally I paid driver telling him I wanted a photo as proof but he took off before photo. Then hotel staff next day I said I owed 1000 for the safari. I don't know who was bad at math or lying, but eventually I got staff to understand I had paid the full amount.

Very friendly and welcoming family. The tree huts are big and comfortable.

The place wasn't as quiet as I hoped. In the evening you hear the music from a nearby restaurant and the traffic from the road.

The host family was perfect; they tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location was great, and breakfast was good.

We loved our stay at the Sigiri Forest View - wonderful and helpful owners- serving great and plentiful breakfast! Booked our safari trip and sunrise trip with them- great experiences!

Amazing stay at the Sigiri Forest view. The family hosting us is really kind and helpful. The cabane in the forest is comfortable and clean, you can sleep with the sound of the jungle it’s amazing. Would recommend this place 100% it was great.

Very nice staff, quiet area, walking distance from the pidurangala rock/templeGood food I booked 2 rooms and ask them to make sure they were close to each other's due to presence of 3 young kids. We ended up with 2 connected rooms which was very nice

Could be nice to add mosquito net at the window because without difficult to refresh the room even if mosquito nets above the double beds (not above the single one). Poor light

Very clean, spacious and comfortable room for an affordable price. The AC works perfectly as does the shower, 2 things that aren’t certain in many other rooms that i’ve stayed in. very kind, jolly and helpful family that provide you with a good breakfast. They also arrange TukTuks for you that arrive very quickly that charge a fair rate that is less than an Uber. Walking distance from Pidurangala Rock.

it’s a bit far out from the rest of Sigirya so you’ll need 10-15mins in a TukTuk to access restaurants and shops.

Location was perfect close to Sigiriya Lion Rock and Pidurangala for sunrise walk. Host were fantastic. They picked us up from the airport in Colombo and drove us to Kandy via Dambulla Caves, Sri Lanka Centre Point and Herbal Gardens. Breakfast was sensational and only a short tuk tuk ride into town.Highly recommend.

Comfortable room with all basic amenities in a nice wooded area. Close proximity to Pidurangala rock, walking distance. Friendly hospitable family run business. Good breakfast. Good value for money.

It would have been nice to have some toiletries in the bathroom and a dustbin in the room and the bathroom.

Amamazikg is experience , first time sleeping in a treehouse. It was a local experience . The owner took me to a lake were he always goes for a swim . His wife made Amazing diner and breakfast ! If you ask if I recommend this place ?? Please don’t go to another place!

I had an amazing stay with Nandana and his family. He was a very attentive host, dropped me off at Lion Rock or the town centre whenever I needed free of charge. He also organised a great safari to Minneriya National Park and a tuktuk service to Dambulla for good prices. I could not reccomend this place more! He cooked for me at my arrival and served tasty breakfasts and dinners. The location is only a 15 minute walk to Pidurangala Rock and a short drive to Lion Rock. Staying in the treehouse was a super experience, even though the wifi rarely worked, it’s part of the experience to be fully immersed in nature (and a view of Lion Rock from the balcony!) It was lovely to come back after an excursion and enjoy the calm of his place. I was sad to leave so much I enjoyed my stay. Thank you Nandana for everything!

A special scenery to stay in. Felt like the middle of the jungle. The host is very nice, straight from on arrival and said hello with two lime drinks. He’ll definitely help you with organising multiple activities in the Sigiriya area. Very close to the Pidurangala Rock which is nice to climb on top for sunrise. The host’s wife cooks dinner if you request it. The food is really great.

Not for tourists who seek Western comfort. Note there will be insects and frogs but also safety nets around the beds and the tree house. The shower only works when there’s enough water in the tank, so sometimes you have to wait. Warm water might not work.Also remember you can say no to activities suggested to you.

Location is close to Pidurangala

The rooms are very outdated. We paid for a deluxe room and got a completely different room above the eating area (definitely not deluxe), which was super outdated, with barely any water pressure, and the faucet was impossible to use due to it spraying everywhere around. Tree house is also super shabby, with only cold water available.
