When others said steep hill I didn’t believe it could be this steep - getting the tuktuk up meant a few mins wait in the heat and only one person could go at a time.Rooms are a bit dated at this price pointBreakfast was not included so can’t rate the food.

The only good thing about this hotel is the view and the pool.

Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing, especially considering the extremely high price we paid. There was no intercom, no electricity backup (complete blackout during power cuts), and several promised amenities were missing—no bidet as mentioned, no white towels, and no basic toiletries in the bathroom.Breakfast was very limited with only 4–5 options and no buffet. The hotel does not serve lunch or dinner at all. The location is also misleading: it is not beachfront as shown in the pictures, and the beach is quite far. Additionally, the steep ride up to the hotel makes access inconvenient. Overall, not worth the price and expectations were not met.

Lovely hotel with breathtaking views overlooking the bay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The satff were very polite and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with lots of fruits and variety of srilankan dishes.

There was no shower gel or shampoo in the rooms. They only had a small piece of soap. I would have liked a bar, where we could have enjoyed few drinks next to the pool.

The property was clean and had an amazing view. The pool was a highlight, it was a good size and had a great view. The Tuk Tuk service up the hill was reliable to get up and down the incredibly steep hill.

The property and rooms felt very dated and in need of a major refresh.The level of customer service was not up to a suitable standard, there was no interest from the staff (for example checking if there was anything we needed in the room or if the food at breakfast was ok).All the other hotels on our trip have gone above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable but that wasn’t the case here.No complimentary water or toiletries provided in the room, and additional breakfast items had to be paid for which felt like a lot of cost cutting.

The local staff are very friendly and hard working. One of the younger ones was always running around, cleaning rooms, sweeping, cutting the hedge and driving the tuk tuk up and down the hill, even in the heat of the day. The breakfast was good and staff at breakfast again very friendly.

Unfortunately quite a bit and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, it was the least friendly and most run down place we stayed on our trip. 1. This doesn’t feel like a hotel it feels like a home stay, and one where you feel you are intruding on the owners house, rather than welcomed in. 2. They don’t take card payments and given the price and the difficulty of leaving the property (huge hill requiring tuk tuk) this just seems ridiculous and unacceptable.3. The rooms are extremely dated. The bed and pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable and you were given 2 single sheets (on a double bed) to make your own bed! They also had clearly been used for many years and were faded and dated. Side tables looked to be outdoor tables with slats meaning water glasses could easily fall off and the room was dark as was the shower / bathroom. 4. Charging for water/ only place we didn’t receive complementary bottles. 5. The dogs. I love dogs and have one of my own, but the owner has two dogs that are in desperate need of training. While one was kept away most of the time the other roamed around and was not friendly at all. I would be very worried about a child around it as it lunged a bit and appeared aggressive. They also bark frequently both early in the morning and late at night to which the owner seems to do nothing to stop. 6. Despite the hardworking local team, the entire place seems run down and tacky with loads of plastic and concrete ornaments and even plastic light up tulips in the garden.

We had the best time at this hotel :) The room was very clean with everyday cleaning, breakfast were more than rich and very delicious, staff was very helpful and they had a smile on their faces everyday. Our kids really enjoyed the pool area, there is a box with pool toys, and also a little kids space in a restaurant. There are three turtles in the hotel and you can feed them with fruit. The view is stunning and this hotel is really quiet and clean in every corner. Wifi works perfectly. Thank you for making our holiday special.

The location with those stunning beach views and wonderful pool. Our bungalow was big, clean and comfortable. The breakfast fruit platter was wonderful and the staff were friendly and helpful. The tuk tuk up was very welcome and the drivers were excellent. This hotel isn't super modern but it has old world charm in spades.

Way too much for what it’s worth. I’m giving a 1 to equalize the score. Photos don’t show the reality. They have a dog that is absolutely not friendly towards kids, beds are really bad. It’s not dirty but the bathroom is very outdated. On booking.com it says 4 stars but reality is 2 stars max. Pool is nice but water didn’t feel clean and have an ugly green roof as view. Steep walk down. Door to bathroom is way to low and got my head bleeding.

the staff was very good. the view was incredible. we loved our bungalow.

I thought the rate was a bit high in comparison to the other places where we stayed at. I also think that the dogs of the property need to be trained so that they doesn't scare people off.

Peaceful and quiet and being slightly away from the beach there was a great array of wildlife

A slight downside is the burning of fires below the hotel which sometimes was a little bit overpowering

View pool breakfast cleaniness

The view is wonderful for sunset, and the staff were so welcoming and looked after our every need. The rooms were cleaned well and tidy.

The hill up was quite steep but the stairs were not too bad and there is a free tuk tuk up the hill but the views are worth it.

Fantastic hotel and great staff. There are about 10 bungalows and definitely worth staying in the top 5 closer to the pool and main reception, with the bonus of picking up WiFi there too. Some great restaurants 50 m from the front gate. Cash machine and a small shop not far away. 20 min scary bus ride into Galle, although the conductor on our bus tried to charge us three times. Visited every day by the resident tortoises searching for hand held fruit.

Set back from the main road up a 40 degree slope, which was tricky walking up over 30 degC. There is a tuk tuk that will.collect you from the bottom up to the main area, but only takes one person at a time. No chance of getting a car up there. Main issue for us was no lunches available so needed to head out when yiu would prefer just to sit by the pool.

Unfriendly staff- management were very unwelcoming and very unhelpful from the moment we arrived. Room was very small and in the basement next to the laundry.

The facility is of a very high standard. Cleanliness top! Taking care of customer satisfaction is the main message for all staff. The room was very good! Breakfasts were very tasty. The pool was very clean and loved by the children. Additionally, there are no crowds of guests, so relaxing in the afternoon after a stay on the nearby beaches is perfect. We highly recommend this hotel
