I like the location and breakfast

I informed the hotel 2hrs before of my arrival but1. No water in room when I arrived 2. No extra bed information (already agreed)3. No room extension working 4. Noting in mini bar5. Clogged wash basin 6. Issues in WiFi In short, room was not ready for my arrival.

The hotel is well located for those looking for peace and quiet. However, there is a train line that runs very close to the rooms, and the noise can be disturbing, especially in the morning and at night, particularly for rooms closer to the railway.The hotel is located right in front of the beach, and you just need to cross the road to access it. The area is nice, with good pizza and beer options for those who enjoy having a drink.There is also a surf spot in front of the hotel. The waves are not the best due to backwash, which makes surfing a bit difficult, but there are usually beginners learning there, and it is not very crowded.

What I didn’t like about the hotel is what I mentioned before: there is a train line that runs very close to the property, and the noise can be disturbing at times. It’s not constant, but it can affect your rest.The traffic in front of the hotel is another issue. The street is very busy and feels unsafe, especially because of the buses — drivers tend to drive very fast and aggressively.The internet is not good. The Wi-Fi is unstable, disconnects frequently, and sometimes does not work properly. This also affects the TV — when watching a movie or any program, the TV image sometimes disappears and stops working.On Fridays, they usually have a party. Unfortunately, I couldn’t sleep well that night because the music was very loud.The food is good, but very spicy. For guests who do not like spicy food, there are not manyThe service at the restaurant was also not very good. One day, our children were very tired, and we asked to order an à la carte dish to take to our room. We were told this was not possible because they were too busy, which was disappointing.We also booked a boat trip through the hotel, and it was not a good experience. Initially, the boat driver said we might see monkeys and other animals, but was not sure about seeing crocodiles. However, when the tour was sold to us, we were told that we would see crocodiles. In the end, we only went to a very nearby island. The monkeys were actually right next to the hotel, and we could have seen them just by walking. And the boat driver didnt even bring some bananas to feed the monkeys or even told us to bring some bananas.The trip was very expensive and not worth the money. I do not recommend the lake boat tour.

A nice hotel just a few minutes from the ocean. The place has a good pool and a cozy outdoor area. There's a restaurant with billiards and kicker, which is a fun bonus. The staff is friendly, and overall, it's great value for the price.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the ambiance throughout the property was welcoming and relaxing. The staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was exceptional. I would like to give a special shout-out to Sujith, the manager, whose professionalism, kindness, and readiness to assist truly elevated our visit. His attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction made a significant impression. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future!

The location is really nice, you can get to many beaches ( short drive) from this area. The hotel territory is very good, with the pool and a restaurant

Breakfast was great, lots of great sri lankan options and a live omelet station. Great pools, the property was on top of a pond, very cute

Location

Hotel needs better management. Breakfast was the same 14 days(not many choices for foreigners) . No entertainment, no spa. No any recommendations for a activities. Not clean enough. Not lots of staff speaks English. You need to say when you want room to be clean.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and supportive. Despite having fewer guests, they thoughtfully arranged a buffet. The boat ride was enjoyable, and the garden was clean and beautifully maintained.

- location is close to the beaches & Galle with lots of local restaurants - very courteous staff and fantastic Chef who made us a few ala carte dishes- swimming pools which kids enjoyed

- Resort has advertised 2 bedroom chalets on Booking.com with 2 bathrooms which does not exist. So families looking to book Joint rooms should note that the rooms all have Serparate entrances and are one above another .

We booked 1 night but stayed another. The breakfast was fantastic. We enjoyed both pools and the beach across the road was great. We would defnetly come back here.

Good location. The room and bathroom were clean and were spacious. The staff were all out to help.

Light from a garden lamp came to the room at night. The staff attended promptly and turned it off.

Great place for a family gathering. Very friendly welcoming staff who went above and beyond to be helpful.The chalets are reasonably well equipped and rooms are clean and spacious.

The hotel's location was absolutely perfect, making it incredibly convenient to explore the area. The facilities were excellent and well-maintained, offering everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay

While the hotel's location and facilities were excellent, our experience on Christmas night was deeply disappointing. After a long trip, we were looking forward to a festive and relaxing dinner, but the food quality was shockingly poor. The taste was absolutely unappetizing, and it ruined what should have been a special evening. Breakfast was equally disappointing and tasteless. The main dishes were noodles and string hoppers served with some curry. After speaking with a waiter, I learned there weren’t many foreign guests that day, yet the hotel’s focus seemed to cater more to foreigners than locals. While it’s understandable to accommodate diverse preferences, the food should be enjoyable for all guests, which it sadly was. Overall, the food and taste were a major letdown, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for celebrating special occasions.

Fantastic place to spend Christmas. Excellent food and service, including a brilliant Christmas Eve Gala dinner. The pools and beach bar were great

The hotel has 2 nice swimming pools and friendly service at breakfast

We booked a hotel for 2 nights, but no one bothered to inform us that there would be a very loud party with live music on the second night, so we couldn't relax in the room or sleep at all. The noise was awful! In such a situation, the hotel should have refunded us the cost of one night's stay! In addition, our room was not cleaned at all. We returned in the evening and had to ask for clean towels and water. After a long wait, our request was fulfilled, but the cleaner broke a water bottle and after a quick sweep we still found pieces of glass on the floor! The trash cans were not emptied either.

The atmosphere is very good and calm. Staff is friendly and helpful.

It's not worth it for the cost. Things can be improved specifically in the food area.

The food served was indeed tasty, however, I couldn't help but feel that the menu lacked diversity. It would be wonderful to see more varieties introduced to cater to different tastes and preferences. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.

I noted that there were a couple of maintenance issues in the room. Firstly, the bathroom lock was broken, which is an inconvenience for guests and a security concern. It needs prompt repair or replacement. Additionally, I found the centralized switch system for the lights and AC to be malfunctioning. It was quite inconvenient having to toggle each appliance individually instead of having a centralized control. Addressing these maintenance issues would greatly enhance the overall guest experience at the hotel.

Lovely rooms and lively restaurant, nice size pool

Not many people around think they went elsewhere at night, pool needs cleaning which we didn’t see happening

Really loved how professional and accommodating the staff were here, from arrival and the reception staff through to everyone who looked after us in the restaurant. There are two big pools which was great for my niece, specially with the shallow areas. If you go across the main road to the private beach you can actually make your way on to the main beach which is stunning. Breakfast was great as there was lots of choice and you could get eggs made fresh. It was weirdly quiet the whole time we stayed but that just meant we got more attention from the staff and it felt more private so can't complain at that :) I would recommend staying here, and also doing a boat safari on the lake as it was a highlight of our stay.

It is a quiet area, I think it is still up and coming. You have everything you need at the hotel but you can also walk to places like Fishers Bar in the day time or get a short tuktuk to Yaya and other nice restaurants. The tuktuk guys are great here!
