No Gymnasium

Quick and easy access to a beautiful beach and surfing opportunities. Beach walks are available, that most Sri Lanka hotels don't offer. Clean and pleasant territory. Swimming pool

Some furniture fittings in the rooms require replacement. Quite expensive

It is a lovely hotel on a gorgeous beach with great surf from beginners to experts (a bit further out). Plenty of surf boards to rent for decent prices, and you can grab a lesson on spec. A great beach just to relax on or have fun in the sea. The hotel pool was warm and clean, plenty of sun loungers. The stand out feature was the exceptional staff, so friendly and attentive, and the amazing food. A quiet and relaxing hotel. The staff were excellent at organising trips and tuk tuks. I would highly recommend this hotel, we had a fantastic time here!

Stayed at Mosvold 2 nights at the suite. Everything was great beyond the expectations ??Great suite with great view. Location is near to everything you might need.Beach is fantastic for swimming and kids to play. The bed is amazing ??Very quiet and comfortable ?Highly recommended ??

Beautiful colonial villa with amazing staff. The room was very spacious and well designed. Very relaxing place.

The view are very nice and the grounds are great. Location is also very good.

The pool could do with some maintenance.Whilst I enjoyed stay here the staff were not all that great. I think everyone could do with some hospitality training.

The location on the beach was amazing , just a few steps away from Kabalana beach. The pool is great and the balconies facing the sea was definitely the best part of the rooms. Rooms are spacious, beautiful and clean. Great food, particularly breakfast.

Extra touches and improved customer service would go a long way.

Opulent hotel. Great Rooms leading into the garden and then the beach. Clean tidy rooms. Quiet side of the beach. No road noise. Very relaxing place to stay. Breakfast 10/10. Great sunbathing view. Easy to get into Ahangama.

Service charged on simple booking the room (10%)Everything charged at dollar rate, far more expensive than anywhere else locally; bar drinks etc.No staff seemed to be there before 0715. Nescafé sachet for coffee in the room; would expect better offerings at this price point; Nespresso etc, or a staffed area from 0600, to allow early risers some sustenance / offerings.No one collecting dirty towels, keeping the pool area tidy.Noise from other rooms quite prevalent at night.

The large room, the nice location, the great beach, the nice food in the hotel.

The pictures are misleading. There is no access to the beach from the property.

The food is incredible, breakfast was a feast of fresh food. Breakfast included is highly recommended. The staff were exceptional with accommodating our requests without hesitation. One person of excellence was Sandhu bending over backwards for us and his service was amazing. The location was clean. Plenty of restaurants in the area to explore. The beach directly in front of the resort is not safe but the beach just to the right is easily accessible.

It is close to everything nice crew good breakfast

The location is FANTASTIC. Breakfast was really tasty, with lots of options. We also met a local tuktukdriver who was really nice and didn't push prices too much, so I took his number and he came everytime we called for the price of 400 LR. Then we didn't have to haggle everytime we were going somewhere (walking is not nice in Sri Lanka) which made a huge difference for us, honestly, Taraka made the trip worth it. Internet connection could be better. Also the price for the stay was overpriced this time (previously it was fairly priced in March 2024 when i was last there). Anyway i still love the place!

The size

It was dirty and the whole room smelled like pee. They cleaned the bathroom, but the smell stayed and it was unbearable. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, almost like a rock. We reserved for 2 nights, but only stayed 1 night. The manager said they would refund our 2nd night, but they never did. They never responded to our complaints and didn't even care to at least speak to us. We will never stay here. I don't know how people rate this place so highly....

The pool, the breakfast options, the high ceilings of the room. Honestly best hotel we've ever stayed in.

The happy hour menu made no sense, prices were the same at any other time.
