Hotel Nawathana

Location good for intercity bus stop. Right on the beach. Grounds could be made attractive. A/C worked ok. Great restaurant next door.

Toilet bowl was dirty. Complained to staff. They spent 30 mins re cleaning whole bathroom but I had to wait for them to finish before re-locking door. Then I had to ask for toilet paper as there was none. There was a fridge (turned off) that was filthy inside. Grout in most of bathroom was covered in mold. Maybe once the tourist season starts they will get onto all this but at the moment cleanliness is not there.

The location was excellent. You could walk from the hotel to the bus station all the way along the beach.

Close to the beach.Parking inside the facility near the room.Little garden within the area.Good caring hosts.

Room little dirty (cushion, pillows).Too many mosquitos (not applied to the hotel itself).

The breakfast was amazing & room, gardening view and the calm & very clean environment. The beach side gardening is very nice at night. The staff was very kind & helpful.

Location was nice.

They could have given us tea packets and water bottles to make some tea and room could have been bit more spacious.

Great for a stopover in Matara

Perfect for a stay in Matara. It's right by the beach and next to the monetary. Also they have cool restaurant right next door. The bus terminal is close by.The staff is really sweet. They are always around and take great care of their gusts. The rooms are bit dark especially during the power outages.

We enjoyed everything!The location is charming - with access to the ocean.Comfortable mattresses, fresh bed linen, a rich breakfast, pleasant cleanliness and especially caring staff.From the bottom of our hearts we can recommend this pearl of Matara just a few hundred meters away from the wonderful Buddhist temple on the island.

Location close to bus station, breakfast ok but No choice, served eggs, toasts, juice, tea and coffee, fruit and some dessert. Room very used and outdated, needs immediate renovation, Nice staff

Old and used Room, bathroom rather poor. In Sri Lankan terms probably ok but worldwide very low standard.

Infront sea and relax environment. Friendly staff.Will be back again hope next time fix the issues i have mentioned ?

Excellent staff and reception and cleaners. Did big efforts to make stay comfortable. Beach is nice, bus station close by, AC was excellent. Breakfast was nice with juice and omelette and tea.

Not enough fridges for every room, at night it is dark to walk back from bus station, Poor street lighting not the hotels fault.

Lack of a restaurant and a kettle in the room

Great location. Close enough to the sea so you can hear it from the room. The wifi worked well, and the staff were friendly. It was nice to have a fridge and be given toiletries.

A good place to stay away from crowded places. located by the beach and neighboring to amazing restaurant called Dutchman’s street!

No Mosquito control measures

it’s location on the beach and my sea view roomroom was lovely and a great bathroom staff lovely and helpful Sudath’s food was lovely and lovely to sit and eat overlooking the beach a great way to start and end the daythe hotel manager Harsha contacted me the evening before my stay which was very much appreciated as my previous hotel was awful he was very helpful and his many shirts put a smile on my face I had this hotel recommended by a fellow traveller and he was not wrong it’s a lovely place in a lovely spot with lovely Sri Lankan hospitality I will be back

not a dislike just a comment there is a lot of debris on the beach that the hotel overlooks I think it would be a good idea to clear this up every morning like alot of hotels/restaurants do over here they are slowly doing ‘jobs’ around the hotel hope this will be one of the jobs
