Good location and value for money. Manager madhu was nice and sweet.

Pool felt a bit unhygienic as the water seemed to be smelling.

The Pool was really big and the rooms, including the beds, were also very large. It was a relatively short walk to the beach.

The place seemed like it needed a bit of TLC. The rooms were a bit run down. The breakfast, although plenty of food was a bit average compared to everywhere else we stayed in Sri Lanka. There was a terrible smell by the pool (could have been a one-off event though).

Kitchen area monkeys playing and eat food then they cook food same pots. Not variety of food. Location and drive van is really hard.

Nice pool, good breakfast, location is peaceful but still close to everything. Room and balcony were spacious.

Maintenance is not kept up with, so you can see it’s getting rundown. Lights burnt out in the bathroom, door handle falling off, mold due to poor air circulation. Check-in took awhile even though we had a reservation and were the only ones checking in at the time.

The room was very clean & beautiful. The staff was hospitable. The location was close to the beach.

The rooms we ended up in was amazing with a comfortable bed, clean bathroom.

The first room they gave had mutiple issues. When we complained their behaviour was not positive. After convincing, they didnt have staff to relocate the single bed. So one of us had to carry rhe single bed himself one floor up to the new room. The manager was supposed to meet us after this ordeal but she never showed.

We stayed in this hotel for one night. This room was spacious and super clean. They have a great pool. They had limited options for breakfast. However, the quality of the English breakfast was absolutely awesome.Beach is close by just about 2 - 3min walk from this hotel.

Drinking water bottles were not available inside the room.

Big rooms, nice pool, good staff

We had a lovely stay at Ballena Regency. Spacious room with a big, comfortable bed. Very clean and modern inside the room. Staff were helpful and let us leave our luggage in reception as we arrived early. It's very close to the beach, only a couple of minutes walk. One of the best stays we had in Sri Lanka, we would definitely stay again.

The balcony door didn't lock well. It didn't feel unsafe but it wouldn't have been hard to get in from the outside.

No bar, every time we requested for a beer, a staff would go out and buy the beer (1 or 2) from shop on ad hoc basis. Although they tried to accommodate every request of us, we felt for the staff who kept running in the shop for a small beer which would have been easier if they stock up some in fridge.

Really enjoyed my stay! The staff were super friendly and fun to chat with, and the room was huge, clean, and comfortable. Loved the big pool :) Balcony shaded by trees so it kept the room from overheating. Big and strog A/C with "dry" mode and large bed helped to have a good sleep. Breakfast was good, and the resident dog added a cheerful touch. Some parts show a bit of wear, but nothing that got in the way of a great stay.

The staff are so friendly and helpful- the staff cleaned the room v well and were honestly the kindness people.

The hotel is rundown, its needs some work. The pool beds are rotting and broke during our stay while my partner tried to sit down. The kitchen area is v. unhygienic, the breakfast tasted nice but the facilities were poor.

In parts the hotel room were lovely. A large double bed and nice furnishings, a modern bathroom, a balcony. The hotel is well situated just a couple of minutes from the main beach with great restaurants. The pool looked lovely but we didn’t get chance to use.

The hotel is expensive for what you get. It could be cleaner and lacked maintenance in parts. We were disappointed by the hotel’s management and found the service lacking for the money we paid. We ordered a room with a double and single bed but a poor quality single bed arrived some time after our arrival, we stayed 1 night and everyone else’s breakfast looked quite nice but ours was poor quality and disorganised- we didn’t receive most of it. We took a decision to cut our losses at that point and checked out after 1 night (the manager agreed to give us a refund for the remainder of our stay)

The stay was very comfortable. The room was huge with a nice big balcony, very clean and equipped with a bigger than usual fridge to store items. What we loved in particular was how sweet the staff is, they attended to our requests the best they could. Also plus point is that they iron your clothes for you for free!Breakfast was also very delicious!

The only thing that bothered us a bit was the mosquitos/moths that creeped in the room, most likely through the balcony door (there was a slit in the door). But we were able to manage by applying repellent.The wifi wasn't great but it worked!

The hotel is great, rooms are clean and big, pool is amazing, and location is great, just couple of minutes from the beach. Big thanks to the stuff in hotel, they were really helpfull with everything, always smiling and nice, and the manager helped us to book all our tours with a good price.

Great location in the middle of Mirissa, easy and quick walk from the hotel straight onto the beach. Value for money i gave a low rating only because i feel it was (at the time of booking) on the expensive side. Breakfast in the morning was great. The room was very comfortable and didn’t have any issues with it. Staff were very friendly and very accommodating.

The location of this hotel is great, it is in easy walking distance to Marissa beach and restaurants (down a quiet side road). We really enjoyed the large pool in the afternoon to cool off in. Breakfast in the morning (served downstairs) was exceptionally good. The rooms were also huge and the bed very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and accomodating although them not understanding English was a barrier at times.

The hotel is definitely in need of some TLC. It has the bones to be awesome but could do with a refresh. For example our door handle was broken and we struggled to lock the door. The Manager said she'd get housekeeping to fix it. This never happened. The shower grate in our bathroom/ shower was stuck down with tape. My nephew also had to change rooms after the first night due to an air-conditioning issue. The lift was super hot (fan clearly not working properly). The hotel doesn't have a bar but the staff are quite happy to go to the local bottle store and get drinks for you (charged at hotel rates). You can also BYO. A minor communication issue was that they sold our drinks on to other guests which we had planned on taking with us to watch the sunset. Overall and despite these minor things, we enjoyed our stay.
