The room was ok, only concrete floor and when we arrived we needed to ask for cleaning

Everything which is expected had to be asked for: plates at the breakfast, daily for sugar, milk, bowls, then toilet palate was three times missing in the rooms- and proudly in the evening we were told like an award I gave you toilet paper, not possible to get a fresh juice for breakfast which is common in whole Sri Lanka, airport pick up was for the wrong time and then the time changed- and the price. And everything it is sold is more expensive than in Mirissa. So just be careful .

The location is good with coconut hill within walking distance. However, the access is narrow and at night it is quite dark to walk from the main road. The view from the room is great but the trees and construction nearby makes it unclear. Lots of food options nearby. A fridge in the room is advantageous with the heat outside.

Cost wise facilities should be improved. No water, shampoo in a tiny handwritten bottle.

The location is perfect , gives you mesmerizing views of the beautiful coconut tree hill . The rooms have nice air conditioning and very comfortable bed with cute little bathroom which was very clean . Mini fridge and coffee and tea maker is also there . The best thing about the hotel is Mr. Chandana the manager if hotel who would go out of the way to help you and he is so jolly and cheerful and goves you nice advice about everything.. breakfast was decent .its a total value for moeny . Mirissa beach is not very far from there we had a scooter so for us it was like 3-4 min ride . Scooter can be rented from the hotel itself . Also they give good price if you want to take a taxi to ella .

Nothing as such - just wanted option to pay by card .

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights and were warmly welcomed by the owner. The room was beautiful and offered a stunning view on the beach. The owner's kindness was incredible, and we adored the house cat, Ruby. Breakfast was excellent, and we appreciated the convenience of having our clothes washed and dried.Despite the fact that we were leaving the hotel very early (at 5 AM), the owner personally said goodbye to us.We will definitely choose this hotel again when we return to Mirissa.

Walkable to the famous Coconut Hill and can view from roof-top. Room is fine with hot-cold shower, mosquito net, air-con, fine corridor

No coffee and kettle in room

The owner is incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring every guest feels valued and comfortable. The laundry service here is by far the best I’ve experienced—efficient, quick, and impeccable. The kitchen deserves special praise as well; every meal was absolutely delicious, showcasing fresh ingredients and authentic flavors.A huge shoutout to the manager, Chan, who went above and beyond to assist with all my requests. His professionalism and dedication truly made my stay seamless and stress-free.

The room including the bathroom was very nice and clean. The staff was very welcoming and tried to be helpful as much as possible. We were the first to stay in the season, so the hotel itself was very quiet.

The location was not as great as advertised. The dirt road leading to the hotel from the main road gets flooded when it rains and the hotel is right next to a loud bar. Plus it is quite far from the main beach and city center in Mirissa. The room bed was quite small for a couple.

We were very lucky to meet the owner here, he was super helpful and very nice person :) place is located near by the coconut hill and you can get there in 2 mins, perfect place to stay

Fan regulator was not working so could not control the speed, it was always full. Tea/ coffee was not refilled, room was not cleaned. Very basic for the cost we paid for 2 nights.

Location, location, location..The location was really great. The Coconut Tree Hill was on our doorstep. Good beach bar just few steps from the hotel. Few minutes on foot to some beaches. Tuk Tuk "station" right on the main street. Some of the restaurants with great food (and reviews) also in the vicinity of the hotel.Quite at night so that you can enjoy the sound of the sea.Good breakfast. Owner was very polite and happy to help us out with anything that we need.

No soap, only shower gel.The bed was really "short" and we are average height, so you can sleep in fetal position or your feet are on the hard wooden edge of the bed.AC needs to work for few hours in order to cool the room temp a bit (guess it needs freon "refill")The sea air and humidity are really not friends of the doors and windows there.. They are hard to open/close because of the rusted hinges.Closet and the safety deposit box in the room have seen better days.

We had an excellent stay at Maison D'Hotes Sanda Beach. The location is perfect and the view from our room was amazing facing the Coconut Hills. The owner Mr.Chan is a perfect host and he went all of his way to help us with our bus and train. The room was very clean bright and airy. The bathroom was fabulous and the air conditioning and fan both worked really well. The bed was really comfortable with great linen and pillows. The ladies preparing and serving breakfast each morning were wonderful and the breakfast super tasty. Thank you so much for all your help and a wonderful stay.

Minor issues that i would just like to close my eyes on that.

Enjoyable stay with great staff, very close to one of the quieter beaches of Mirissa. A bit out of town but not a long walk and there were plenty of tuk-tuk drivers willing to take us!! There's a great beach bar within a minute's walk of the hotel and the location by Coconut Tree Hill is pretty picturesque.

AC stopped working but host move due to another room which was good. The price on booking.com didn’t match the price that we had to pay - we had to pay more.

The location was amazing as we could see the beach from our balcony. The room, bed and bathroom were clean, and had a good sized balcony. Breakfast was also nice, and served at a good time.

There were a couple of power cuts which stopped the A/C from working for a bit. Wifi was terrible, but occasionally got some connection in our room and in the area downstairs, but wasn't great. The noise outside during the night was incredibly loud especially with stray dogs, but that can't really be helped!

It wasn’t as how it was described ! It lacked TLC. The balcony was broken and unsafe. No water supplied to the room. No tea/ coffee facilities in the room . Room not cleaned throughout our stay, so no bins emptied at all. Had to request toilet roll and clean towels when neededAC extremely noisey making it difficult to sleep, and ceiling fan on the highest level but rotation very slow. . The only good thing to report is the ladies that served breakfast the were lovely,l. This accommodation certainly is NOT 9.2 for booking.com ?

It is in a good location, very close to the beach and coconut hill.

I should have checked out by 12 o'clock, I asked if it was possible to leave the room later between 3 and 4 due to the late departure of the plane. The host said yes and that he would only charge half price.I paid 10,000 rupees, that is 1 full day prices for 4 hours.

Would have been nice to have tea & coffee with water and kettle in the room.

The price of the hotel doesn’t match the quality.

There wasn’t even a bottle of water in the room. It’s basic thing to have. At breakfast (it was included in the price) we asked for a glass of water, they gave us a bottle of water and added €3 to the price of the room. I also didn’t like the fact that the payment had to be done only with cash. In addition to that, photos published on Booking are really much better than the hotel actually looks like. The access road actually it isn’t great as well.

Amazing view to the ocean and directly at Coconut Hill, staff is very friendly and helpful, room was comfortable and clean, breakfast tasty, fell asleep with the sound of the ocean. I’ll definitely come back!
