Hotel Munin Furano

Excellent location if you are going to the Furano ski fields as you can walk up. However, it is not close to JR train station, so you might have to connect to a local bus to reach the hotel.Room size, layout and comfort was exceptional as it is very spacious and modern.

While I did rate the value a bit lower, because I am not a skier and felt it was a waste to stay at a hotel more tailored for skiers.

Great breakfast, lounging public areas, onsen, and the beds were very comfortable.

The towels were small and scratchy.

This was a beautifully appointed and designed hotel with lots of comforts, especially the hot pools and the beds. Aesthically and in terms of luxury it couldn't be better. I particularly liked the living area and the little touches like the book selection.

However, the staff (and the well-off clientele) were not very friendly and the breakfast was a bit dubious/mixed. The reception could have been a lot warmer overall and engaged in conversation with the guests.

Big room, room with a view for the snow, close to the ski lift.

The common room (breakfast room) has an outstanding layout, well organized, comfy and visually appealing with good furniture. The bed in our room was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean too. Staff is friendly and efficient.

The staff told us no more breakfast reservations for 7 while there were quite empty on the next morning. ( Suggest to have waiting list ) Also the exterior onsen can be improve/modify a bit.

Clean and comfy room, lounge area with free wine, coffee and snacks from 3-9pm, good to chill out.

Outdoor onsen is abit small and water a bit too hot.

A cosy environment, nice breakfast buffet were the main highlights. The room size is considerably bigger than most Japanese standard.

Price was on the steep side and hotel staff was not clear that wine and juices were also free for guests during certain hours. I only realized it on the last night's stay...

The clothes dryer is terrible. I couldn't imagine being here during high season when it's snowing and you can't dry your clothes...

Lounge area has plenty of tables and seats. Complimentary coffee, both machine and self-made, and other drinks. Some snacks offered. Board games and other games/toys available for passing the time.

Cozy and very clean. There is a public bath on the first floor of the hotel. Guests can take a towel and soak in it to wash away their tiredness.

the common area in this hotel is very welcoming and cozy for relaxation.

Some spots need deep cleaning, you can find some cobweb inside your bedroom for 2nd floor.

It was awesome hotel in Furano. Room is big enough for 3pp and luggage.

About food, it not much choices of breakfast you can choose.

The complimentary tea in the restaurant area is great!! Nice staff and comfortable.

Hotel Munin Furano exceeded all expectations—every detail felt thoughtfully considered making for an exceptional stay. The amenities were top-notch, from the beautifully designed rooms to the relaxing onsen, perfect after a day on the slopes. The staff were absolutely wonderful—warm, attentive and always ready to help, adding so much to the experience. Its location is ideal, just a short walk to the Kitanomine ski zone and restaurants within the area. Breakfast was a highlight, offering an impressive variety of both traditional Japanese and Western options. Every aspect of our stay felt effortless and enjoyable and I wouldn't hesitate to return.
