The staff were exceptional and extremely friendly/helpful.

Perfect location to access the ski lifts at Furano. The gear locker is perfect to store your ski gear after the days through. The welcome drink is a lot of fun and a good way to meet other folks traveling in the area. The breakfast was really tasty. The onsen was relaxing and very clean.

The main draw for this hotel is the great location for skiing, the walk to slopes is only a few minutes. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable enough.

The walls are incredibly thin - we heard other guests consistently throughout our stay. In addition, the breakfast is just okay.

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the stay truly enjoyable. The location is excellent — the ski resort is within easy walking distance.The hotel has an onsen, and soaking in it after a full day of skiing was incredibly relaxing. There are also complimentary welcome drinks available in the lobby, which was a nice touch.The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. There is also a coin-operated laundry, which was very convenient.Overall, this accommodation met all of my needs and provided a very comfortable stay. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Nice rooms with beds and futons. Good ski storage. Excellent service from friendly and very helpful staff. Cool lobby. Great location a few minutes walk from the lifts.

The Onsen could use an upgrade.

We came to Chalet Burlap mid March and were there 10 days with 2 adults and 2 kids , the hotel was a bit quieter as it was the end of the season, we were lucky enough we had snow every day and beautiful conditions .Overall a good experience , this was our first trip to Japan .The staff was always available apart from Sunday mornings, it is a small traditional hotel cosy and nice , very clean, comfortable room , we had 2 single beds and 2 futons on the floor , the bedroom was a bit tiny but we didn’t spend too much time inside.There are nice facilities , breakfast can be booked the day before, it was nice with a fair bit of choice , there are Onsens on site , a couple of vending machines, free toiletries , some communal washing machines and dryers and a communal lounge area with piano a sofa and a tv .The location is great , 5 mins walk down a hill from the ski slopes and from various restaurants , the taxi was always available and would come in 5 min if we wanted to go to Furano town or somewhere else .The hotel also offers a shuttle bus early in the morning go to Prince hotel on the other side of the mountain .

The room was a bit small for the 4 of us, I don’t know if they had bigger rooms I could only see this one when I booked.But overall not a big deal as it was comfortable and very clean. One thing they could improve is the knowledge of the staff , only a couple of staff spoke good English , couldn’t tell us if places were open or closed and can’t tell you much about recommendation or things to do in the area, we had to found out a lot by ourselves , which again is ok we love adventures lol.We will definitely come back again ?

The chalet was a short walk to the Kitanomine Gondola and close enough to many great restaurants. The breakfasts were amazing! Totally worth the add-on! Staff were super friendly and helpful and how can you not appreciate the complimentary happy hour drinks? Not high-end but homely!

Everything was great!

Family of 5 in the 3-bedroom Villa, great amount of space, clothes line in laundry with cloth hangers, large bathroom, space in outer foyer to store skis and snowboards and inner foyer for boots, shoes and jacket hooks. A few blocks walk away from the Kitanomine ski resort. Although the Villa being one block away from the main Chalet Burlap building, we just grabbed food from food trucks and ate in the main lounge and enjoyed the free drinks each evening. The staff were great with the free shuttle (runs certain times and need to book the night before) and the kids loved doing the puzzles with them.

The heaters in each room was very noisy, flicks on and off throughout the night to maintain temperature (cold snowy winter time) and the LED screen was always on, lucky we were too tired from being on the slopes all day.

Shuttle service: Shuttle service to and from JR Furano Station or bus stations was available on check-in and check-out dates. Shuttle service to and from Kitanomine and Furano Ropeway was also availbale on request during our stay. Reservation is required in advance.Helpful staff: All staff members spoke good English, and were attentive and willing to offer assistance to cater guests' needs.Great room: The room was spacious, with a tatami area and comfortable beds. Plenty of hooks and hangers were available, very convenient.Hot spring (onsen): The indoor onsen and sauna after skiing allowed us to relax and recover better.

Curtains: The curtains in the room could not effectively block sunlight in the morning. Light sleepers sensitive to light might easily be waken up.Bathroom: The bathroom in the room is very small. The sink was tiny and located inside the shower space. Given that we used the onsen for bath, it was acceptable.Breakfast: Food quality was good. It would be better to have more variety, given the price.

Absolutely love this cozy chalet!! From the moment I booked, till the moment I was shuttled back to the station it was a delight!! Staff were very helpful and attentive. Room was cozy, and clean. Onsen was awesome. About 300m from Kitanomine with many eateries around. Free shuttle to and fro Furano station and also Furano Prince. Aiming to be back next season. Wouldn't wanna stay anywhere else

Nothing at all

Chalet Burlap is a very homely hotel with so many personal touches and a great social atmosphere. The onset and the bar in the foyer are among included features that make the hotel different to most others.

Staff very nice,they will try their best yo help you ,room very clean,breakfast is great
