    • Lovely hotel although slightly on the older side. Great scenic location, but is a bit further away from more active areas. Great if you like a quiet stay and then use a short ride on public transport to get to where you want to be.

    • Location is very convenient which is right in Mojiko Retro and nearby most of the attractions.Great breakfast!

    Cons -

    • Interior is somewhat aged and outdated style.
    • The hotel was a bit dated as you can see the tired looking furnitures and interior. But it's not a big problem as t is still very comfortable :)
    • The male staff at the entrance was not helpful. He saw us, all middle aged women, struggling with offloading our luggages from our car but did not offer any help at all. We informed the front desk lady who did not seem to take any interest in this.

Loved how close the hotel was to the station and the ferry. Located in such a cute part of town. We got a great view of the city,. The tub was very clean and relaxing.

Location was excellent, accessible to train station and ferry terminal, nice to walk around the Mojiko metro at night. Breakfast was flavourful and enjoyed the fresh taste of vegetables/salads the most

Very good breakfast with a variety of tasty Japanese and international food.

The pillow is a bit too firm for my comfort.

The stay would have been excellent if not for the issues we encountered. We booked two double rooms for four guests through Booking.com, with two guests per room. However, upon check-in, the hotel staff claimed their system only showed two double rooms for two guests—one guest per room.Despite showing our booking confirmation clearly stating four guests, they insisted we pay extra for the additional two guests. In order to proceed with check-in, we reluctantly paid the extra charges. We were very dissatisfied and sent a complaint via email to Booking.com to request a refund, as the error was not on our part. At the time of writing this review, we have yet to receive any response.

Keep way. This hotel is not foreigner friendly. We arrived on a day when the outside temperature dropped dramatically. The rooms face the sea and were freezing. Management refused to either turn the a/c to warm or provide a heater for the room. We had to go out and buy a small heater. The hotel refused to recompense even though the cost was only $16 neither did they apologize for our inconvenience. At no stage were we permitted to meet the manager. Both my wife and I developed a cold from the excursions to a department store in the cold.

A horrible experience totally atypical of hotels inJapan so much so that we complained to Booking who, as is their standard , did not get back to me. So much for High Genius Grade!!!

Spectacular hotel with a beautiful and convenient location.Breakfast was fantastic.Room was outstanding with gorgeous view of the Kanmon strait.

We were arriving and departing Kyushu via Shin-moji Ferry port. I tweaked my knee and was trying to avoid climbing into and out of the free shuttle bus to/fm Moji Station. I tried to get a taxi arranged via the hotel thinking they may have a concierge. Not able to either before nor after our stay. There was a taxi stand at Mojiko station with sporatic taxi service in the morning but never when we wanted one. Mojiko was outside the service area of both GO and Uber so I ended up having to climb in and out of the Buses, carrying my luggage. Something I was trying to avoid and the hotel was unable to help. Also, there's a comical panic button next to the toilet in the room about knee height. It had a green Japanese character on it and the first time I pushed it I thought it was the flush button. I know his sounds odd, but this is Japan and the toilets are commonly electronically controlled, often with wall mounted flush buttons. So to me it certainly didn't look like a panic button. That I think should be red, not green. Anyway, I pushed it and on the adjacent wall mounted phone I received a call from the lobby asking if I was OK. Good laugh. The next day I accidentally hit the button with my knee. Another phone call. Ha, Ha! This can't be just me can it?

This was our fifth time to stay at this wonderful hotel. It is such a bargain when you stay here on weekdays! The great breakfast was perfect again. The ocean view rooms are worth the extra cost if you enjoy watching the ships go through the Kanmon Strait. Great beds, and the rooms now have individual temperature controls. We love this hotel and Mojiko!

We had noisy neighbors on one night but a quick phone call to the front desk stopped the noise in minutes!

The view of my room was nice even it's city-view. Breakfast was great! Staff were very friendly and caring. When we came back from outside with lots of snow on our jackets after our dinner, the manager saw us and gave us towels and warm packs immediately even we didn't ask for. It really made us feel warm and being well-taken care of.

Charming location. Reception when wa first arrived was very welcoming.

Unable to use the lounge. They didn't seat us at the scenic side with view for breakfast.
