very clean and nice hotel with reasonable price.
The facility is conveniently located near everything you could need. It’s truly a resort.
A lot for the amenities they offered weren’t open even though they advertised it would be.
Convenience and easy access to the chair lifts and slopes, shopping center, and restaurants.
Love the location. The staff are professional, courteous, and responsive. I have been coming to this every year for the past 6 years and they consistently great.
I wish the beds weren’t so firm.
building is old but room is clean. no frills, very spacious, enough for 8 people. two showers. futons are quite thin. no kettle. nice view of the trees
Great location; spacious room; 2 showers available within the unit
No watercooker in room available; kitchen opening time is not 24hours
Great location - right next to the ski slopes, Great staff. Clean room
Bit expensive
The property is close to the slopes.
The furniture is outdated and some of the rooms smell like food cooked from previous stays. The rooms are not thoroughly cleaned and this is noticeable by dirty hallways, stained cabinet handles and table tops, dirty shower sandals.
Prime location right by the ski resort. Ondol room was comfortable and pretty clean. Plenty of places to eat within the resort.
Outside of buildings is very dated.
room was spacious. shower pressure was good.
the common area carpet is old and dirty.location was slightly off from the ski office and slopes, within a 5 min walk (mostly covered)
I was there for a conference. The room was conveniently located, I enjoyed the very quiet nights and hearing the birds in the morning (yes, it was that quiet!).
The rooms need a remodeling. They look and feel like a trip to the past.
Also called Dragon Hotel - Very close to the food court/ ski rental/ ski school building。There is a 24hr convenience store by the lobby。
Not many staff speak English so you must rely on a translation App. In this regard I believe we lose some of the staff vibrancy expected of a "resort". The shower has no curtains be careful of splashes!
Decent stay
No one would answer the phone at front desk. My TV did not work and no one would answer any phone to come and help fix my tv.
This review is for Yongpyeong Resort - Dragon Valley Hotel.Good hotel reception gave us the most pleasant experience. Our booking was at the end of February this year. For that booking, we had the apartment, but we arrived hotel by transport. The initial arrangement, the front desk reception, (nice gentleman which looks similar to "Yan can cook" celebrity chef looks like) the gentlemen - unfortunately we can't remember his name as we don't speak good Korean. This nice and kind gentlemen have helped guide us to the apartment under the same umbrella. He also offered to upgrade us to a hotel as we had kids around, but we politely declined the offer as we booked the apartment. We had arrived at the apartment to check in but it was very unsafe to get to the apartment due to we need to push the stroller along the road, but overall the apartment it was a very nice accommodation either. We decided to go back to the hotel front desk to look for help. Once again it is that nice gentlemen who saw that we were push a stroller with a 2 years old girlgudp. He persisted in arranging a room for us, even though it was the extreme peak of the March bank holiday in South Korea – everyone was there for skiing. We were very grateful to him for his kind and welcoming personality who helped us find the room and change our booking from apartment to hotel. The hotel room is more expensive than the apartment and he tries allocate us a room that does not incurring too much cost to us. We manage to have the change of booking from the apartment to the hotel room and we have an extremely pleasant stay in the hotel. Also kudos to the night front desk lady who is so fluent in English, with her help, we were able to find our way to the alpaca farm with ease.Overall, the stay at this hotel is extremely nice and we enjoyed the skiing experience. The whole trip to Yongpeong is wonderful and we will be glad to be back again. our sincere appreciate for the kind front desk staffs.
N.A.
The location is great right at the bottom of the ski slope. I didn’t realise until it was too late that you can actually Ski-in and Ski out when there is enough snow. The apartment was comfortable, when I was called, I called them and they turned up the heating straightaway. Functioning kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and kettle and utensils which was very helpful.
This apartment was quite expensive compared to some of the others that were very similar in nature. It was also not clear which apartment building it was in, so me and my friend ended up in totally different buildings about a 10 minute walk outside in the snow from each other. It should be clearer on this site, which hotel is which. There was also a bit of a funny smell in my apartment all week. I think it was coming from the drain.
Hotel is in a good location, only a few minutes walk to gondola/ticket station to go skiing. there are some food restaurants downstairs. The room was a decent size and nice view but nothing too fancy. Had a little kitchenette which was good for tea/coffee boiling water for noodles, and had a full size fridge/freezer. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Make sure to read the specifics of the room you are booking, I booked a room for 3 adults, and the room came with 2 single beds and a 'futon' bed which was essentially a duvet we found in the cupboard and an extra pillow to put on the floor. It was confusing to work out which building we were actually staying in because the booking name of the hotel is not specific. We ended up being in the 'tower condominiums' which was an older building than the dragon hotel at the front, but the staff were helpful in directing us. The bathroom didn't have shampoo or conditioner and the towels are all quite small but this seems to be common.
Its proximity to the ski fields ia amazing! The staff don't speak English (which is fine - it's Korea!) but are very friendly and accomodating.
The description of the room very much highlighted a hot tub. There was no hot tub. There was an old bath, in an old bathroom that hasn't been renovated since e the 1980s. The whole resort/apartment is very old, and in need of renovation. All this is fine, it was very family friendly and warm, but it is advertised as luxury - a HOT TUB - and it very much isn't. It's more like motel-type facilities. When I needed help to take my bags a loooong way through the snow to our apartment - they gave me a supermarket shopping trolley!!! HAhaahha!
Dragon Village, facilities very good, front destk staff friendly, a very good hotel. Price very much reasonable.
We were assigned to the Korean-Style Apartment - Villa Condominium. The environment is extreme poor. Cigarette buds, trash all along the corridor, stink. In my room, the key slot was broken, plugs broken. I requested to switch to Dragon Village but the lady said that rooms were not available.Actually the front desk lady doesn't speak English but only using translator app to communicate with me. We went to Dragon Village and mentioning the situation to front desk, then they offer me a very very nice, big big room with minimal extra cost. The feeling is from hell to heaven. Thanks Dragon Village, saved my vacation. Attached photos are the corridor and elevator lobby of Villa Condominium.
I like the location. Easy for my family to go to do ski's activities. Got halal restaurant. Very yummy kebab. The staff is excellent. They keep our luggage after check out while we're waiting for our transport at 1pm.
My room is korea kondo style. It is very hard to sleep.
The staff were the most unfriendly and unhelpful people ever. For a resort expecting tourist, how can none of them speak
Snow was not cleared. Made it impossible to drag our luggage.
