Sangthain hills

Pros +

• If you are on a tight budget but want a private room next to a beautiful beach this place is in an excellent and quieter location. There is a nicer resort next door where you can eat (but be prepared for 300+ baht meals). If you have an extra few hundred baht a night though, go somewhere else. Or skip the island tour and go somewhere else. AC worked and was worth it.
• Attached to a great restaurant food was amazing and music and fire show every night
• This is my second time staying here. Later my friend and his girlfriend also stayed here. The room is very big, sufficient for 4 persons. View is exceptional. Floor to ceiling windows and a nice deck. Bonus is you can see the side resorts fireshow directly from the deck.

Cons -

• This place is run down! The deck is nearly breaking through. The bed makes very loud sounds when you sit on it. Sink is slowly falling off the wall. Took me 10 minutes to get the doors and windows to lock. Smells like smoke. I had to wear shoes inside because there was dirt on the floor. Mold on ceiling, dusty curtains, lots of geckos inside. You have to walk a littlw ways to find food options other than the one pricey resort. If you're prepared for a rustic cabin in the woods and are on koh samet for the beach, enjoy. If you want a resort experience this is avsolutely not it.

• Please fix the washroom sink. I asked in my last review also. Will stay again for sure, but it wont take much for the owner to fix this.
