I like the staff, they were very helpful and the food was good.The location was very convenient. We had a good time there.

I loved the size and openness of the building, the super-friendly and helpful staff, the views of the countryside from the back, and the fabulous pool.

The staff were very kind and helpful. They organised a safari for us for the next morning which included a lovely breakfast in the national park.

The hotel was quite dated.

Racism faced in service

we paid for 4 rooms and breakfast buffet. On first day of our stay, only we were in the property (8 adults and 4 kids)They did not serve breakfast buffet. instead gave us very less bf which we had to keep asking. we were a group of indians. Next day a bus of europeans checked in and the netire vibe of the place changed. staff became cordial, started playing live music, kept full fledged breakfast buffet

Location to national park was great, staff were helpful with arranging a safari and very friendly. Room was great, pool is lovely.

Food was fine, but considering there is a lot of fruit grown locally, fruit selection and quality at breakfast and when ordering fruit platter wasn't great.

Very comfortable rooms and clean.

Would’ve liked to spend more time in the pool but it’s dirty and needs to be cleaned regularly

Location!

Don’t pay for the set dinner - it was dire. Very very expensive all in all. We were advised to take a 6am safari - big mistake as all the elephants go in to the jungle to feed at sunrise so we barely saw any.

Easy location, great access to the national park, easy and cheap, food was great, staff were lovely

Shower was sporadic (hot, freezing then warm), pool towels were very old, pool looked a little dirty, not great space for late check outs which I would have thought were common with national park etc

Great location for safari. Large rooms and balcony.

Unpredictable hot water, didn’t seem to be hot in the morning (like other hotels, maybe that’s not unusual in Sri Lanka). Reviews for food were previously very good but our breakfast experience was very poor, cold food, undrinkable tea and coffee - we began to wonder if the chef had left or was away. Ate dinner at other restaurants as our breakfast experience put us off.

It was close to Elephant Safari. The restaurant was ok we had breakfast and lunch there. I really enjoyed the omelette cooked fresh. Our room entrance looked over the paddock. Staff were helpful.

Cold shower at times. TV not working but I didn't have a chance to ask for help.

There is nothing to like about this property except it’s wonderful staff.

Food was crap, pool towels reduced to shred (no idea why they find it acceptable!), bed sheets old and torn in places, blinds rusty and broken. It’s not worth more than £50 in my opinion and we paid £160 which includes safari but safari is cheap and doesn’t offset that cost. Avoid.

Really easy access to the forest to access your safari. The staff were fantastic and organised everything brilliantly for us - including their guide who was fantastic.

The pool probably isn't one to relax in pre or post safari. But only a minor point.

Really nice hotel with good access to the national park. We had safari and breakfast included and the staff were so friendly and helpful to fix everything to our liking. The room was spacious and nice, and we really enjoyed the pool and sunbeds. Could also arrange tuktuk to restaurants and taxi to Ella.

If there are a lot of children in the pool going crazy you will hear them where ever you are, since the pool is in the centre och the facility.

The proximity to the park was fantastic. The staff were very friendly.

Sadly, the bed was very uncomfortable and every time you rolled over it creaked, creating noise that woke me up so it wasn’t a restful night

The accommodation organises safari, with options from 9,500 lkr for 3 hrs for the Jeep (noting that national park entrance was $72usd for two people) Staff were friendly and room was nice enough. close to the national park entrance.

My partner got food poisoning while we were here, we think from the noodles at breakfast from sitting out too long but we don't know, it could be anything. The manager did confirm that all food is washed in filtered water. Really only need one night. It is quite isolated with no other food options around, and pool is nice but it's not the type of place you need to hang out that long. Bed was quite lumpy and towels were worn. Probably a bit overpriced, but we didn't see any other places as nice on the drive from national park.

Our first stop in Sri Lanka was absolutely amazing thanks to the wonderful staff. I did not know each name but Indunil amongs the others was really great, nothing was too much trouble, everyone was so friendly.The room was spacious and very clean, perfect for our 3 days stay. The bed and pillows were comfy, the towels freshly cleaned and fluffy.We had delicious curries and cocktails and to top it all up, there is lovely pool to relax in after a day of exploring.Thank you so much to everyone who made our stay unforgettable.Alex and Matt

Compared to the price of the food the portion size is small.

Very friendly staff. They were very helpful. The food was incredible!! Really enjoyed the local cuisine.

The staff were very attentive and looked after us whenever we required assistance. The kitchen staff made your meals to order so it was a case of sit back, relax and enjoy the holiday. I would also add that the location is ideal for the national park, the entrance being only 5 minutes from our accommodation.
