Draha Halong Hotel - Serenity, Charm and Nature - A Vietnamese Favorite

Great room, VERY welcoming and friendly staff with well spoken English and great service! Private car was organised for us, boat trips can be booked from reception and overall great breakfast and coffee!

Restaurants in this part of Ha Long closed very early, nothing to do with hotel though consider when choosing location.

Beautiful small hotel in the lovely Hong Gai district of Ha Long Bay. Walkable to tons of cafes and restaurants and the waterfront. Perfect location. The hotel was very charming - great breakfast included and the room decor had a very relaxing vibe. We enjoyed our stay and the staff were very attentive and helpful. We had a slight issue with the a/c control but they came and helped us out, so we were able to have heat in the winter season. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect. The room and the view from the hotel was beautiful. The staff was very helpful, they helped us with all our tours in Halong Bay and transfer to Hanoi seamlessly. Will go back again.

Towels, bedsheets and pillow covers could be more clean. The towels were mostly stained, though the staff changed them as soon as we raised a concern. Otherwise everything was perfect.

We stayed here for one night after our cruise and had a lovely room that fulfilled all our requirements. The front desk staff was especially helpful and really contributed to the lovely time we had here.

Well, the staff were really nice and helpful and the beds were comfortable, The location was good and handy to everything. We loved walking around that area, especially in the afternoons around sunset time.I think the restaurant could have a bit more variety for breakfasts. Certainly not as good as the restaurants in An Bang beach.

There were a few little things that caught my attention that you people could improve on. The ceilings in our room's had water stains on them from leaking bathrooms upstairs. The hot water was a bit here and there and there was a few power outages.There was quite a serious issue with our transfer to the airport which we were not happy with. The people who run this business are not professional at all. We thought we were going to be picked up at the hotel by the bus, instead a young man in a private car picked us up and took us to the bus depot. The driver of the bus was an idiot. He drove in a very dangerous manner, cutting lanes and other cars off. Driving up the back of other vehicles threatening the lives of the people on board as well as other road users. He made us pay up front then dropped us off somewhere in Hanoi where we had no idea where we were. We were told to wait there until someone else comes to pick us up. After half an hour, another young man in a private car picked us up and took us to the airport. The whole trip took 3 hours instead of 2. You would be better off paying the extra and getting a private car.

It was like being in palm springs, the area was quiet, lovely buildings and greenery. Crazy good coffee shops

Rooms are comfortable and the staff is nice and warm.Best thing was the bathtube on the balcony.

Only thing i would change about the room would be to put something to cover the balcony from the upper rooms. It would add some needed privacy (given the bathtube on the balcony)

Very nice little hotel. We got a free room upgrade so we were especially happy. The location is good, and you can rent a scooter directly from the hotel to drive around. It is clean and has everything you would need. I recoomend it to everyone

The only improvement that could be done is the breakfast, they mainly only serve soups in the morning and toast with egg which for internationals might not be the best. a little pencake or something sweet could be nice. despite this i would still recommend

The staff is okay, but the friendliness could be better. especially the basics of etiquette such as greeting.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay at Draha Halong. Rooms were clean and any problem was rectified immediately. Thankyou to the beautiful staff for helping us with Taxi and information.

Location was quite a way from the harbour though a taxi was cheap enough @ 125.000 dong

The property is really pretty and our room was very nice. The staff was really friendly and helpful and the boat tour is really nice! Everything is explained in detail so there should be no surprises on your stay.

The bathroom is beautiful, but the water gets everywhere. Meaning, even though there was glass separating the toilet and shower they would still both get wet. For breakfast you get an amount that you can spend in the restaurant. This is not a lot, so you’ll have to pay extra.

The hotel is in a nice location close to some pleasant coffee shops and waterfront. Its a little way from the “main strip” but this means it relatively quiet.

The windows were open when I arrived and it smelt like cigarettesmoke.

The breakfast selection was very poor. It was not pleasant for us as a family with small children when other guests were smoking during the breakfast.

Very friendly and super helpful staff who helped us with a money transfer, transportation and more. Nice room with filled minibar, located in a calm area in walking distance to the sea.

Unfortunately our room was facing the wall of another building so we haven’t had a view. Also the walls/doors were thin so we could hear noises from the other rooms. However, all in all a very good hotel.

Comfty bed, one of the ladies at desk did speak very good english, other guy not a single word. Please give him some english text if he cannot speak any english. Breakfast is like from the menu, evropean breakfast with eggs and sausage was not bad at all.

Could be much cleaner, lack of english speaking personel, A/C did not work. Was not that hot so the ventilator was ok, but you wake up moist.

The location is good, the rooms have nice design, the bed was comfortable. They had motorbikes for rent.

When we checked in the receptionist was going to charge us for breakfast but then I showed our booking that it was including breakfast. Then she said OK but you have a limit of 100000VND per person per day for the breakfast. That's barely enough for a coffee and food. It's very misleading on Booking, as it says breakfast is included. Also they mostly have soups for breakfast, there is just one different option. Our room didn't look like on the pictures of the one we booked, had Windows only to a shaft (facing Windows of other rooms) and another one to the corridor. The doors have little louvers so it doesn't seal very well. You can hear everything from the corridor.The bed sheets and the towels were all stained and had hair on them. We got new ones without problem when we complained. The ac seems a bit weak.We were disappointed with this Hotel after reading all the good reviews.
