Tuan Chau Resort Ha Long

Spacious room. We had 2 rooms. The family room is awesome. The double room was fine. They have a simple breakfast a la carte (scrumble eggs, fruit, juice, coffee -I do not recommend this last one).Very helpful staff. They gave us advices on where to go on the motorbike.

We thought there was no hot water. However we found out on the last day that there is a switch to turn it on. I wish it was pointed out.

The island is basically deserted, I had never seen anything like this. To find a place to eat we had to go all the way to Halong so it was very remote

The room was nice, staff friendly and pool looked good although we didn’t use it.

The restaurant food. There was nowhere nearby open to eat, so we had to eat at the hotel restaurant.At the restaurant were served raw chicken and my partner was very sick as a result, we nearly missed our planned trip to ha long bay the next day as a result. We were refunded the cost of the uncooked chicken, however there was no apology or offer of further help.

Breakfast could be better. Construction at the property during oir stay, which we were informed about after booking.Property is great, but the locatiob and Tuan Chau Island is a complete disaster adn a total failure.

Absolutely everything. Only 2 other people there. The whole resort was empty shut. It was a ghost town literally even the tumble weed left before we got there. None of the amenities were available ie pool or bar not even a shop open nearby. Staff didn't speak any English. DO NOT GO HERE

Located on an island that is like a run down, deserted theme park. Nowhere to go for dinner so had to take taxi to main town. Pool was dirty and uninviting. Not much choice for breakfast, food poor and service not great. Meals served at different times. Always people in the group had finished their meal whilst others waiting a long time and some breakfast not brought at all ? Order forgotten.

We booked the hotel for four nights .. 1 night before and 1 night after our halong bay cruise. There’s absolutely nothing near by it’s like a ghost town. Hotels nearby look like they’ve been abandoned. We managed to eat at the hotel restaurant in the evening which was lucky as nowhere else was open. There’s nothing of interest to see or walk to. No beach bars were open. The photos online are very flattering or very filtered of this property. The local beach needed a good clean up.

The breakfast was really great! There was a nice variety of fresh, tasty options, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The staff was also super friendly, making it a perfect way to start the day.

The resort and surrounding area are currently undergoing renovation, but it is in a beautiful location near the beach, with enthusiastic and attentive staff. While it was quiet and less ideal for a family stay at this time, it might be more vibrant in the summer.

Great location close to the beach, with friendly and attentive staff. Even though the hotel is undergoing upgrades, my room was spotless, and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of dishes.

The room is spacious The staff are friendly They offer ala carte buffet breakfast where you can order unlimited food as much as you can take.

The floor is dirty on the first day when we checked in As the property is under renovation, there are nothing except room stay n not much activity like swimming pool or pool table

We had a wonderful vacation in here. I really enjoyed the fresh air at the resort, it has a beautiful beach, it is very clean and quite peaceful. The reception staff were very enthusiastic and supportive, providing us with a lot of useful information about the surrounding facilities, we were really warmly welcomed during our stay here. Although the hotel is in the process of upgrading, our room had a very nice view of the sea. We will definitely come back next summer.

We were lucky that the staff informed us in advance about the ongoing renovations at the hotel. Since we only planned to stay for one night, it didn’t affect us much. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, with an amazing view of the bay and the sea.

Even though the resort is a construction site, clear signage for the reception would have been helpful, as well as providing the address of the alternative reception for the Grab driver. Instead, we had to wander through the construction site with our luggage.

This place shouldn’t be open

The property is under full renovation, it looked like we were dropped in front of a vacant building Work everywhere couldn’t even lay by pool

Lovely big room right on the beach, all staff very helpful, clean and comfy bed, just what we needed and close to the terminal so catching your bay cruise super easy

Not much going on around us, no restaurant open at the hotel, 2 bars open on the beach and a couple of restaurants by the terminal that also sold snacks drinks ect. Taxi ride into town
