I enjoyed my stay the bed was comfortable the room was clean and the staff was super friendly

The staffs are so friendly, and also professional. The hotel have a really nice view to the beach and the whole city.

The buffet line is not so diverse. But it doesn’t bother me much. Every dish is wonderful.

I have stayed here many times. The hotel is clean and beautiful, the staff is friendly, the price is reasonable.

The location is good, close to many local restaurants, the room was clean and comfortable, staff very helpful and the bed was good.Given the vast choice and explosion of hotels in Bai Chay recently, I'm not sure if we'd stay here again.....

This was my third time staying here at The Light in Bai Chay, near Ha Long City.The first two times were great, but unfortunately this time was a bit disappointing. Why? In the first room, we had to go and ask for the air-con remote, only to discover that the air-con didn't work. Thankfully, they gave us the opportunity to move room, which we did, the next day. However, once again, the air-con did not work in the new room. Although they gave us the chance to move room again, it was too much bother to pack up and move, yet again.Also, the breakfast was not as good as I recall. The fried eggs were cooked to within an inch of their life and were like rubber. There was no sliced bread to put in the toasters, only buns. We inquired and were told that the owner only buys that kind of bread. Only Vietnamese coffee was available. It's OK, but another option would be appreciated as not everyone can stomach Vietnamese coffee. The staff have breakfast at the same time as the guests, making it uncomfortable if you have to ask them for something as I felt I was disturbing them.

A very good place i would like to come back whenever im at Ha Long Bay. Kinda like how good it was even tho it just a standard room at cheap price. Couldn't ask too much cause you get what you pay for! Besides, they also provide laundry services and tours around the bay which is pretty good and convenient!Good location, the food was amazing, and specially thanks to all of the friendly and helpful Receptionist at the front desk. They're served!

I’ve been here a few times, and everything has been great. With low-priced rooms, of course, you shouldn’t expect too much in terms of design. If you want the best experience and a nice room, go for superior rooms or higher. If your budget is limited, you can opt for the budget rooms

Nothing, given the facilities and the price as they are.

Staff is very helpful. Organizing transfers and airport shuttle (even if the plan to pick you up from the wrong airport). Bed was very comfy.

No Pool!!! I just booked this hotel because of the rooftop pool. Even the area around is dirty and not usable. They could clean it. That you could at least enjoy the sunset from the rooftop. Breakfast not much variety.

The room is downstairs and the window overlooks the wall of another house 10 centimeters away. No good view and little light, but if you are only staying at the hotel, then there are no problems.

I had stayed at The Light Hotel in November 2015. Jenny Hoang and her mother were wonderful hosts back then, and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. Jenny arranged for me to go on a 1-night cruise while in Ha Long.When I decided to revisit Vietnam this October, I contacted The Light Hotel and was pleased to learn from Jenny that her family still owns and operates the hotel.Jenny and her mother have not changed in the past 9 years: still warm and very welcoming. Joyful reunion. The hotel has expanded from 2 levels of rooms to 6 levels. My room was on level 5 with a view overlooking part of the city. The accommodation is new, spacious, very clean with all the amenities of a 5-star hotel. The breakfast was varied and delicious.In summary, I highly recommend The Light Hotel for your stay in Ha Long. You will cherish your time at this family hotel.

Everything is excellent.

Hotel staff were quick to communicate and lovely. Room was very spacious. Hard beds and construction noise could be heard all night but think the same would have been at any place. Swimming pool still out of order post storms. Excellent value for money.

The reception staff were friendly and very lovely. The room was clean, tidy and conveniently located.

The hotel was really bad. We had a room in the basement. Our sheets were very dirty and had stains on them and there was cockroaches in the room. No toiletpaper also. We gave them our clothes for laundry service and they came back as dirty as before just with a smell of parfume.

Unfortunately the typhoon had damaged the pool and maintenance work began at 7:30am so was quite noisy in the morning.

We stayed here for only one night because we were doing the cruise. The room was okay, had a funky smell when we walked it. The aircon was probably the only good thing about this hotel.

The breakfast wasn’t great, not at all much variety, mainly Vietnamese food. They must have locals stay here as well as the walls were paper thin and you could hear everrrrything happening outside the door, very loud. Wasn’t much around outside as well, we felt like the only tourists there.
