Clean room, Ha Long Bay view, close to Tuan Chau Port

Too far from the center

Everything, starting from the location and closeness to the departure port gates, to design and cleaniness, ending with food and restaurant. Staff also helpful and friendly. Very good price for such quality. Partial view to Ha Long bay is nice addition.

Nice rooms, clean and quiet.

The toilet made weird noises after flushing. But after 30s it went quiet again, so nothing too bothersome.

We stayed here the night before our Ha Long Bay Cruise and it was the best thing we have done! Immaculate and brand new furnishings and facilities. Our room overlooked Ha Long Bay which was mesmerising! Breakfast was delicious and an asset to staying here. The location was awesome! A few small restaurants were open at night (even in non-peak season) and served us great food. We would recommend to everyone to stay here!

Thank you very much to the staff for helping us arrange transfers from the airport and to Ninh Binh and a cruise around the bay! Everything went great and we are very happy! The hotel is new and stylish, it was very nice to be in it. The view of the bay is also beautiful.

Excellent hotel ideal for a pre and post stop when doing the Ha Long cruises. Free shuttle to and from whatever boat operators you choose. The food is great and the staff are superb. Finally the place is spotlessly clean

Clean and spacious room with the added bonus of Netflix on the tv, and believe me you need this as there is very little to do around the hotel. You only need to stay here if you are waiting for one of the cruises to Ha Long Bay.

The restaurant on site needs to improve. The food is good but it takes a while and the staff don’t seem competent.

The hotel is absolutely great, after trying other accommodations in Vietnam we were not expecting this much for the price we paid. Everything is new and very clean. Plus, the breakfast is extremely good.The staff is helpful, their English is not always perfect but with some help from Google translate this is not an issue.

Not really an issue with the hotel itself, but the location is not the best. The area is basically empty, though you can still find a few restaurants and very small grocery shops. At least, very close to the hotel you have the ferry for Cat Ba and the seaplane office.

The view was spectacular. We did a cruise and took a grab from the cruise area to this hotel which was next door to the seaplane company we had booked that afternoon. The location was great for this. The receptionist was very personable and polite. Our room had a balcony and could see the sunrise over Ha Long Bay and the boats coming in and out from the port. For sunset it was just a short walk around the other side of the hotel. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have had so far in Vietnam. The ac worked well on heat, shower was hot though it ran out of hot water fairly quickly. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. The hotel seems new. We enjoyed it!

The hot water ran out after a little while and the water turned cold. The rooms and hallways are spotless but they use some spray to make them smell nice which is way too strong. Once we opened the balcony for a few hours to let the room air out it was a bit better. The location is lacking but it is not the hotel’s fault. There is really nothing around and looks like a ghost town.

Rooms were large and very clean! Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was very good and the hotel is very close to all the cruises. Really good value!

The water view How big the hotel is, and the room was massive. Staff were courteous and polite.

We stayed one night before the Halong Bay cruise trip. It was clean and new and most importantly they provided a buggy ride free of charge to the port, it was very practical.

The breakfast was poor and they asked for local cash payment even though it was not stated in the booking information

Property is next to marina which was particularly handy for us.

Despite having breakfast included I was charged for coffee ? also asked the front desk if possible to keep bags after check out as our taxi wasn’t until late afternoon was told not possible.

Clean and comfortable hotel close right on the harbour. The second floor coffee spot serves excellent hot tea and various coffees. The breakfast was ok but not outstanding compared to others we have had here.

The only aspect I found odd was their policy to charge by the hour for an early check in, despite the room being unoccupied and most of the hotel Itself empty.

The Union Inn is a fantastic stay with an amazingly comfortable room and lovely staff. They were very helpful when a typhoon was hitting and couldn’t have done more to make sure we were safe and ok. Thank you so much!

The Manager Khang is very hands on. This is a family run and newly opened hotel. Its location is premium. We took a room with a marina/seaplane view - magnificent.The welcome was warm and generous.We were early by a few hours but nothing was too much for Khang and his team. We had a special breakfast brought to us and excellent coconut coffee - I know as my 15 year daughter is a true connoisseur, and she rated them very highly.Khang sorted us for an excellent seaplane trip over Halong Bay. Then later one of the best evening dinner/dance cruises in Halong Bay - all unmissable.

The hotel was generally good

There really is nothing around the hotel to warrant staying there. The area seems to belong to a bygone age when there was more activity going on, or were we just there at the wrong time?
