Diamond Luxury Hotel

PROS:- The location is excellent to walk around and see all of the local sights within 10 minutes.- The view from our room (706) of the karsts was gorgeous.- The rooftop was an excellent place to view the bay and city.- The staff were super helpful and friendly.- The nightly rate was very fair.- The common areas and lobby are in great shape and pleasant.- Plenty of storage space and a great long desk under the windows facing bay.

CONS:- The room needs a touch of refreshing as it's tired and worn.- The room fridge is a tad small.

When I arrived I was greeted by the gentleman at the front desk and immediately I felt welcomed. After checking in the gentleman asked if I had "What's up" app? I replied I do & he asked what I might be interested in doing? I gave him a few ideas and he loaded up my app. with GREAT suggestions. Kudos to him. Later the next evening I was making my plans for Cat Ba Island and the young lady was very courteous and helpful with ferry departure times, made a great suggestion as where to get the BEST Pho in town. Kudos to her as well. Highly recommend, room was outstanding, bed very comfy. Security at the front door makes you feel better with leaving your motorcycle in front. Had no issues with anything. Great ambience. Great value as well, if I visit again I will for sure stay again.

Nothing staff very nice and they speak English.

Perfect place , cheap and cheerful . Even had a tv with great internet connection.

It’s a weird location but it’s good in the sense of it’s on the street that sells only like piping stuff like that. Looks like a herbal shop at first just walk through to the back.

Simple but clean, beds super comfortable. Staff incredibly helpful. You can take a walk across the road and you’ll get to see some of the harbor, a bit further there’s a museum. Big mall around the corner with a big super market for any of your needs. WiFi is good and smart tv

Roof top bar not often available, no clear times as to when it’s open etc

Good location Clean and nicely decorated The receptionist spoke enough English and was very helpful. She organised a limousine to Hanoi for me , something that was too difficult for me with the language barrier. Her customer service skills are top notch. Pity the rooftop bar is closed.

Comfortable cozy and clean

The staff were very helpful even provided tour information and booked on our behalf. Amazing service. Highly recommended. Clean and comfortable.

Spacious, clean room.

Shower only went to warm, not hot. The hotel is right on a busy road with a loud alarm in the middle of the roundabout right outside that plays a song at 6am. The hotel allegedly came with bikes, but these were never mentioned. Staff seemed low on the ground or just sat around chatting or watching stuff on their phones. No one mentioned if there was a breakfast or anything to do in the area.

90% not coming back

The bidet spray is broken, so water drips off all the time, making the bathroom floor always wet. By the way, the bidet spray water is too strong. I wonder how their staff checks it, and did they try it for themselves before providing it to their customers? One more point I dislike is that the shampoo and shower gel are the same. Last time when I was here, I used my own travel kit, but this time I left it at home, so I have to use the hotel shower gel and shampoo. And OMG, feel your hair after using it! Moreover, the shower gel holder's toggle is broken.

Excellent location, Wi-Fi worked great, AC was fantastic and room was very comfortable.The low cost was was really a bonus point considering the quality of this hotel.Very close to the biggest mall of the city and several restaurants and amenities around.

The skybar and pool bar (snooker) weren't open properly during our stay. Staff greeting guests at the door weren't the friendliest. They didn't even help us with our luggage.

The location in Halong city was good

It was not clean, even the sheets were not clean. Staff were playing cards and wouldn’t open the bar. The female staff were better and more helpful. We were booked for two nights but for the second night, although we had paid, we stayed in a different hotel in Cat Ba.

Friendly staff, well located and good value for money.

Mattress was a bit too hard, and the sky bar closed half hour before the advertised time...we couldn't have the last drink enjoying the spectacular view from the rooftop :(

Staff were friendly and helpful. Was a very posh hotel back in the day, but maintained is poor. Shower excellent, bed very comfy ,big room. Location good. Great value for money ?

No restaurant or bar.

Location is within short walking distance to Vincom Center Halong Bay. Good selection of dinning places nearby. Location and view are quite good.

The room are very dated although the hotel is still rather "young". The gout in the tiles are black, the parquet floor boards are warp (one of them was actually lifted). The air conditioner was badly choked, you can hear the choking and the airflow is on and off. It is very obvious the room are not adequately maintained.

We liked almost everything about this hotel. The location near the sea of Karst rocks and a nearby Winmart supermarket.The room was spacious, the beds and pillows comfortable and the bathroom well designed with a powerful shower. Air conditioner very quiet and no noise from outside. The view from our room on the 7th floor across the bay was amazing. The receptionists Vg and Linh were very helpful and friendly and their English was good.All round we had a great stay here and will certainly stay here again upon our return to Halong.

We would have given this hotel a 10 if it had provided a few breakfast options other than the one dish offered.However, it was not a problem for us as we found other places to eat nearby.Dont let this put you off this really is wonderful place in so many ways.

The room was modwrn, clean and well kept, great view of the City. Very close to numerous restaurants and Vicom Plaza. Approximately 11 km to the International Shipping Port.

BF was too oily, moreover that's subjective.
