Muong Thanh Grand Bai Chay

Gorgeous room looking over the bay, very sad to see the damage the typhoon has caused to the town . This hotel was luckily not affected from what we could see.

The view is stunning. The location is OK.

The breakfast has very few dishes and the quality is so so.

The location and the view was great. We were going on the Halong bay ferry ride the next day which was a short walk away from the hotel. We had a room with an amazing view of the bay

We chose a hotel with a pool so we can swim. When checking in she said it was open. We got our swimmers on to find out it was closed, first cleaning ?

Breadfast was just oki as we did expect like a buffet breakfast, but overall it is oki

I think it would have been better if we travel in May, the weather was quite wet and foggy when we were there.

Excellent hotel facing the bay. Very clean and well maintained. We loved the service and the staff too. Breakfast was delicious.

Hotel is clean with good house keeping daily.

Arrived early and was told room was not ready. After 10min was told can check in if pay for early check in fees. Despite paying for early check in, found shower heater and room card don't work until 12 noon. This is our main gripe in otherwise good staying experience.

They provided good breakfast , but they massages service not good and very expensive

- staffs are nice and friendly- good location

- tiny swimming pool (it should be mentionned that it’s for childs only)- breakfirst is serving until 9am only.- in my own oppinion, i’m not sure if this hotel deserve a 4 starts

Very new hotel. Cleaned n very nice staffs . Beautiful front views . Take taxi to bai chay beach in 5 mins drive.Delicious breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at the Muong Thanh Grand Bai Chay. The room was nice including three single beds perfect for a stay with some family members. The room was clean and the bathroom was large. I didn't have a room with sea view, but due to the location these rooms would have a great view.

The location itself was not really convenient. It was a longer walk to the city centre/boulevard and it was hard booking a taxi because Grab isn't actively used in Ha Long. The refrigerator also didn't work that well.

The Restaurants inability to provide selected meals, as agreed upon. Selected meals from the menu's were not delivered.

1. Location is great. Facing the sea, walking distance to Sun World, Bai Chay Bridge and eateries, and yet not too busy.2. Rooms are big and comfortable.3. View from the room for sea view room is great.4. Attentive staff at breakfast, though many couldn't speak English well. Food was great.

1. Rooms were not cleaned very well within stay. The shower drainage was clogged with a lot of hair. Can see that they only did the min. 2. Would be good if there are more English speaking staff around.

The room was very comfortable and clean. We got a bit unlucky with the weather and were forced to stay in for two days – no problem since the room was so cosy yet spacious! Staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast provided many options. This is outstanding value for the price.

The elegantly designed shower cabin doesn't fully close, making spills unavoidable. The smart TV was a little slow at times.

Sea facing bedroom and dining room. In-house spa that opens til late. nice breakfast with local and western choices. staff has been most helpful to book tour and arrange limousine Van transport to accommodation in Hanoi town. cannot thank them enough.

From Noi Ban airport to Halong, car hire driver went to two hotels of the same name before getting the right one facing the sea. partly driver’s confusion over the name.

The rooms and swimming pool and amenities and service staff were excellent and beyond expectations. Everything was very clean, even the swimming pool! Staff also helped us call a taxi and even offered to help us book a bus back to Hanoi.

The soap provided were in mini disposables bottles, but you can request for more.

Room was clean except for the fridge, which was obviously not used for a long time and already got mold inside

staff was superb!!! they made us vegan pho each morning since there were not too many options for our diet there.
