Paddington Hotel Halong Bayview

The stay was fantastic. We even got a room upgrade and the staff fulfilled our every wish and were super friendly. We had a beautiful view of Halong Bay. The breakfast had a very large selection and was very tasty. The beach by the hotel is also super nice. We were also happy to book the boat trip through the hotel. It was luxurious and very nice. We will come back. 10/10

I just stayed one night, I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The staff were super friendly. I had a massage at the spa, which was AMAZING and great value. I highly recommend this. There wasn't many other guests and they served my breakfast to my bedroom which felt luxurious; it was beautifully presented.

Best hotel we stayed at so far. Exceptional service. Top notch facilities. The staff were super helpful. We were given a free upgrade as well. The Serenity Spa on the site was really good. The receptionist over there even volunteered to babysit our 2 year old to allow my wife and I to enjoy the facility. The view from the room was just superb- the beach and the Haolong Bay. Just mind-blowing.

The new hotel in the best place of Halong. Very clean and calm beach like on an island. Beautiful sea view from the hotel. Breakfast is ok, Spa and massage recommended. Same price no need to go outside. I stronly rcommend this hotel. We will be back there.

Beautiful hotel and area.

They have the sound of silence and 5 other sad songs on repeat all day long. Was ironic because my girlfriend hurt her arm during the stay

We stayed at the hotel a few weeks after the typhoon, so the city and a hotel were empty. The stuff of a hotel was very welcome and helpful for us. Our room was upgraded to a bigger size room. The sea view rooms have a wonderful view.

As a hotel didn't have too many guests, a restaurant didn't work properly but employees did the best to serve a good food.

The Manager Cloe was truly amazing, helping me with tours and shutle bookings, 5* !! The room with halong bay view , really beatiful

Excellent hotel in an excellent location ! Very friendly staff, willing to assist in everything in any way, Chloe comes to mind! One of the best breakfasts we ever had - both in variety and quality ! Few nice restaurants in immediate vicinity, with the one diagonally opposite the hotel, at the traffic lights - standing out. Will certainly be back especially when the sky bar opens.

The bar in the lobby can be much better stocked and arranged, some wines introduced, and so on. Lobby restaurant was closed and there no restaurants opened after breakfast in the hotel, but there isn't a shortage of places to eat on the streets

After a one night cruise on Halong Bay, I wanted to stay and enjoy the view of the islands longer rather than heading straight back to Hanoi, so we booked this hotel for one night. We booked a 'Queen room with a sea view', and the view was EPIC. The rooms on floors 16 to 18 have floor to ceiling curved windows. We knew it would be good, but the view was still staggering. We had one window like this in the bedroom, and another one in the bathroom, so we each had a bath with the best view ever. I also booked this hotel because of the beach. There were a few friendly people giving swimming lessons to little children with lifeguards, but otherwise it was very quiet and easy for swimming. The room was big and immaculate, and staff were always clean to help. Overall, the facilities were grander than I expected. There is also a cool cafe and bar round the corner, called Da Bong (football).

As others have said in previous reviews, the restaurants were shut and it wasn't clear if the swimming pool was open. We didn't see many people at breakfast, so it makes sense that opening a whole restaurant would be too expensive. The room service was available until late, but it would have been good to have more vegetarian options, The breakfast was vast and had a huge range, but staff didn't understand what I meant by asking if foods contained dairy. Labelling for dairy / gluten would be helpful. The local restaurants and cafes are great, but be warned for planning, all the ones we visited take cash only.

Great customer service! Staff were very attentive and responsive. Before arriving, Chloe was prompt to respond to queries about the spa booking. Spa and massage were amazing too. Staff also surprised us with welcome fruits and cakes! Hoai (Hailey) was fantastic in answering queries about nearby places and arranging our transport to Tuan Chau International Marina for the cruise. Great sea view from the room. Room was clean and spacious.Hoi Gan Beach and Winmart is just behind the hotel. Family owned restaurant, Bun Cha Huyen Vu sells one of the best Bun Cha, just opposite the hotel. Tuan Chau International Marina is just 30mins away for the cruise. Hope to be back!

The hotel was awesome and located in a great spot. We enjoyed the level of service most. A beautiful young lady named Hailey was a godsend - she assisted with everything (Travel, Excursions, Food, Currency). She contacted us via WhatsApp and would even stay on top of things whilst she was off-shift. She made our time in Ha Long Bay so much easier.

There are said to be 2 Restaurants and a rooftop bar. These (as of April 14th) were not actually open yet.

Room is spacious and clean. Nice view to the bay. The beach is just across the road. Breakfast is good with lots of variety.Staffs are very helpful and friendly.Good value for money

I booked a room overlooking the bay great to wake up in the morning with a view of the bay great beach walk along the front in the morning and see fisherman bringing in there catch.

Don't know why no hotels in Asia have a ATM machine.

nothing was open, no restaurants, drinks, room service and no sky bar, we are vegetarian so picked the hotel as it had a buffet breakfast but this was not provided. we ended up with bread and jam sent to the room as the only other option was pho (meat). we advised we were unhappy and the staff arranged for meat free spaghetti to be sent for breakfast also, appreciated the efforts but it’s not what we wanted. i understand the hotel was quiet hence the facilities closed but this should be advised before booking, if we had been told even at check in we wouldn’t have stayed there. the hotel dealt with our issues as best the staff could but it’s not fair to falsely advertise the hotels facilities when people go for a holiday. The room could also have been cleaner, there was dirty water lines around the bath where it hadn’t been cleaned, hair on the floor that wasn’t ours and dirty finger marks in the bathroom. it has the making of a nice hotel so it is a shame. hopefully it can be improved quickly to give others a better experience.
