Too crowded at the beach front bcos of the boat activities and all

After not being able to find my original airbnb, I went to astoria and they got me a room last minute within 20 mins. While i waited I got my welcome snack (cake and cucumber water) and then the bellhop brought my bags up. The staff went above and beyond to help me.. finding a doctor, booking an in room massage, planning transportation. The buffet breakfast!? Oh my? Astoria is also perfect location, I would return.

Its very clean and the staff are very accomodating.The masseurs are exceptional!

I wish the dinning area is a bit more conducive. Its was quite hot and humid. I understand it is nearby beach but i do hope the have enough ventilators to make the area more comfortable.

The facilities are amazing nd the services also..Variety of food is scrumptious and the staff is excellent. We are so happy! And we are planning to stay again here next year.

NIce hotel, just in front of the Station 1.It is good, because every programme start from here, but slightly busy.The staff was very helpfull. Free towels and sheets to the beach are avaible.The beach and the water is very nice near the hotel.The transfer from and to the airport was perfectly, professionally arranged by own staff of the hotel.The room is spacious with shower and bath.

Very good restaurants nearby, but unfortunately not the hotel's restaurant. It is OK, but nothing special.No good bar in the hotel.The pool is OK, but not to spacious, and because it is just in the middle of the hotel buildings, quite early became shadowed.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets were immensely wonderful. There was so much variety and oh so good. The buffet meals are great value. You won't find that price at any la carte restaurant.

The rooms were comfortable and had all a visitor needs except that there are no windows.

Location is good, few minutes away from Dmall area and you can also go to the quieter areas in station 1. Although it's right in front of where the terminal is for all the tour groups so certain times of the day as soon as you step out of the hotel there's a lot of people on the beach so you have to walk a little bit if you want to go and relax by the beach.

The rooms are not as comfortable. The door to the room is made of glass so if you're security conscious you have to manage to pull the curtain to cover the door as you're closing it. The wifi was very slow and the phone is almost always disconnected so if you need anything you have to walk to reception. The room I was in was a little strange, the power points by the side tables are about a meter away from the bed.I had a separate shower with no amenities and a shower in a bathtub with the amenities but when you use the shower the water can splash everywhere and you have to be careful stepping out as it's a fair height from the floor.The food was average, both at the restaurant and room service. Room service menu had soup of the day, when I called to ask what it was, i was told Laksa. And when I said I want to order one for lunch they said it is not available until dinner!

So close to everything and clean with great rooms - I upgraded to a room with a balcony as I am an outside lover. The pool was fantastic!

Nothing to dislike

The staff were attentive. Every staff made sure we were acknowledged. Free buffet breakfast is decent. They are quick to clear used dishes. Food though was hit or miss. Paid buffet, lunch or dinner is not worth it.

For a 5 star hotel, the room should feel like one. We had a "luxury room" but there were several issues. The paint was peeling. Water spots all over the bath. Ants everywhere. Windowless rooms are musty were my inlaws stayed. I wonder if we got dilapidated rooms because we booked through other sites.Glad my son enjoyed the pool which was kept clean.

I do like the simple, clean style and the second floor restaurant view of the beach.

While the glass entry doors are good, it puddles in front of them when it rains and it could get very slippery. But I guess that’s part of nature’s wrath and might be a bit difficult to resolve.

What is unbeatable is the hotel’s location: right in front of the pier where all the boats for the activities leave; just a few minutes walk from D Mall and the area with restaurants, bars and clubs; and on the right, you immediately reach the more relaxed and chilled part of White Beach. The staff was super nice; always available and caring. The transfer service is fast and efficient. The pool is nice, although we personally never used it as we preferred the incredible seaside. Good selection for breakfast.

Food is nice. Location is good but the beachfront is not the same as it used to be. It became crowded as the activity assembly is in front of the hotel, you can’t even swim at the beachfront. No beach chairs, no more entertainment. Good thing it is near the best beach part of boracay which is the farthest end of Station 1. The property is completely different from the old Astoria that I knew and dreamed of staying in Boracay.

Bathroom and room facilities are old, smell unplesant. Bed is not comfortable as well as the blanket. But i want to say thank you that they put as in a better spot which is beside the pool area. Also, it is annoying how they mix up the non-guest during dinner for their marketing and promotion while all of them staying at other hotels and have a tour afterwards. This made me feel that their priority are the outsider guests whom they want to do marketing to become a member in exchange for a buffet meal. This makes Astoria cheap. They could have done this on a private set up.

The breakfast buffet could be better. The rooms don’t have a window only the main entry door. The balcony didn’t have chairs and tables outside so you can seat for a while. Right outside of the hotel is the main station of all the sea tours and it is extremely busy so you must walk further down for quieter beach. No sand beds like other hotels in boracay!

Colors. White and blue were decorations inside and building was white also, pool with light blue water, that was good. Pool didnt look very big, but we did like it as it wasnt crowded usually in afternoon. Room was nice, netlflix availabe, big mirror behind the tv what can be a pro for someone, Small kitchen and table, nice bathroom. Hot water was available. Aircon was okay. Biggest pro is probably that right in front of the hotel is the "port" so if you go on ship or something it starts right in front of the hotel, thats good so its close. Also the beach is less crowded and sand is really more clean there. Good breakfast - i did like the beacon, egg and bread/rice. Or one day there was crispy chicken. Also i did see icecream machine :D .

-Very high deposit. But we got it back when leaving. But anyway super high. Highest from all hotels i did stay in for the 3 weeks in ph. -Room had no windows. Thats not really what you want to pay for when you are in boracay. If so then not that high price. -The room was next to elevator, and room for cleaning stuff, what made some noise when they were going in and out in front of and next to our room. - I personally as european, would welcome ham and cheese for the bread and knives available. It wasnt there, only bread and butter with option to bake it in toaster.As a tourist that is travelin to asia, i would welcome if i would know not just in this hotel, but anywhere, that the ICE is made from drinking water and not tapwater. So i could drink it with no bad feeling that i risk the sitting on toilet or medicine need for next few days. Becouse thats what you can find on internet, when you search about your destination, that you shouldnt drink the tapwater or ICE. So if there would be a writing in menu or somewhere that they are making ICE from drinking water, it would be really helpfull.- Doors were only heavy glass, with curtains from the inside.

Breakfast buffet that came with my rooms is really good !
