very good place, great location nearby the lake., cultural venues and some restaurants.

The location is perfect for the purpose of our visit as it is diagonally across the Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre, about 3 minutes by foot. The Wenhuabolanzhongxin Metro station exit 3 is only 100m away. Gate of the Orient is one stop away on line 1 and it’s very convenient and cheap to travel around on the Metro. The hotel is modern, clean and welcoming. Check in was fuss free and front counter staff was friendly and pleasant. I love the big room with a huge bed. We were upgraded to a room that faces Gate of the Orient and Jinji Lake. Superb view! We had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Will definitely stay at Novotel SiP Suzhou again if we are coming to the SIP vicinity.

Just a suggestion. It would be great if there are some hooks for hanging in the bathroom.

Poor eating options during the day. Very little English spoken by the reception staff and almost no English by other staff. This made sorting minor issues difficult.

The room was comfortable, and the hotel was adjacent to the Suzhou Metro Green Line No.1 (Cultural Expo Center).

The so-called western restaurant did not serve western food. That is only available by room service.

It's near 月光码头, very nice view.

Facilities is lacking for sure. But if you are just looking for a place to stay. It's ok

No staff at breakfast could speak English. Bar should not close at 8 o’clock in the evening. Room service should work later than 9 o’clock.

Excellent staff. Excellent location if you like a nice laid back feel for a peaceful break near the lake. Great restaurants/bars nearby for a nice evening out

Ordinarily minor things but which do make a difference to the stay such as having steak on the menu but no steak knives; or having no creamer/milk in the room with the coffee and tea making facilities. Also the dinner buffet, while having a fantastic selection of items and being great value for money, was mostly cold other than the live stations.

rooms are quite large with a great view over the lake

there is a door between the toilet room and the room where the washbasins are. However, this door is transparent. So if someone is on the toilet and the other person wants to wash their hands etc. at the same time, there is no privacy screen.the breakfast room is much, much, much too small. Every day, we had to move to another room to have breakfast, it was regardless of the time. In that room, the air conditioning was running at full speed - it was incredibly cold. There was an extremely long queue for the coffee machine. In the main breakfast room, it was terribly noisy. The western breakfast selection was quite limited.None of the staff at check-in in the evening spoke English. This should not happen in an international hotel chain.
