Courtyard by Marriott Suzhou

Clean, comfortable, convenient, kind staff, good location.

I cannot find any dislike, except the breakfast menu is similar everyday. So if stay many days, it could be boring with the same menu. But the quality is good.

Bread by the Breakfast was old and hard. The cook wanted to make an Omelett, but after 10 min asking him, he forgot.

The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were very kind and helpful

The room was a bit run down , there were mould stains in the toilet .

Breakfast was great, lots of options for western taste; especially bread/pastry selections. Maybe 2-3 more types of cheese could have been better. Front desk personnel can speak English; sometimes hard to find in China. All hotel is very clean including pool facilities.

Location very handy close to metro and big new shopping Center on Jinjihu lake. Swimming pool, gym and exec lounge made my stay super relaxed and comfortable.Staff very helpful and friendly. Special mention to Mark on front desk who helped organise cycling around the lake, cars to take me to and from Tongli water village and was always happy to help with any questions. thank you

Choice of in-house dinning limited compared to some other hotels I have stayed in, having said that so many good places to eat nearby so not a real problem

The large international breakfast buffet.Very closer to Metro line 1 station just about 150 m.English speaking front desk staff specially Mr. Mark He was a nice and helpful gentleman and he helped to book us taxied, wrote the way maps when we want to go somewhere and helped to book our next hotel at Beijing ( Fairfield by Marriott Haidian Beijing). Can give 7 stars for him out of 7.

Good if they can provide bath caps. All are excellent otherwise.

Location and staff are really good. Esp. the concierge guys (in particular Mark and Harry) are super friendly, very helpful and always try to find a way to please any request you have. Breakfast is ok(could vary a bit more often). A goody is the laundromat, which is very convenient if you stay longer time.

The rooms/facilities have aged a bit. during my last stay I had often some smell from the sewage pipes, that made it a bit uncomfortable. Very often their payment system seems to have issues, which is always a bit challenging.

Returning Guests after almost a decade. In term of maintenance, it is rather well. Staff are friendly. The hotel is providing washing machines and dryers for guests to wash clothes with more affordable pricing. Certainly good location to travel with subway and walking distance to the lakeside for musical fountain, restaurants and East Gate shopping centre.

Breakfast time was rather challenging, perhaps hotel could have queuing/ numbering system to ease the food ordering corners like omelette, noodles, etc

Modern stylish hotel The staff couldn't be more helpful. The breakfasts were excellent and the executive lounge also great . All the staff were good but Mark, the concierge was especially helpful to us

Good breakfast. Staff very nice. We really appreciate Mr Yin, the hotel manager, assisted in arranging a connecting room for us. The staff at concierge are all very nice and helpful.

Location

I left my electric razor in the hotel bathroom. I realised in the taxi after ten mins on the way to the airport. I visit every three weeks so I thought I’ll contact the hotel and my colleague could collect. I called many times within 10 mins of leaving on the Sunday to report it but no one answered, I also emailed the hotel and the response was they’d get back to me 9-6. I was ok as I trusted the brand. On the Monday my colleague called to ask and the staff were super rude to her saying no electric razor had been found. I was horrified as it was left there. Despite several requests nothing was found and even worse no member of management ever responded. I was offered a voucher which I rejected as I’d totally lost trust in this hotel and it’s management. Very poor

The breakfast had a large mix of food and it was yummy. Also all the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The hottub and swimming pool werecold and made it unpleasent to spend time there. The hotel having a hottub was the reason I booked this hotel.

Hotel was clean and nice, location quite central

For some reasons, i could not adjust the Aircon temperature below 24 degrees in my room. During the day time room temperature was even as high as 25 or 26 degrees! Hence the room felt stuffy and uncomfortable and I did not have a good rest during my entire stay. Already feedback to the hotel which they said it is centralised cooling and they had no control over it. Apparently I stayed in Marriott Courtyard Shanghai and I faced exactly the same issue, so it is the problem with the Marriott/Courtyard Management. I am not sure why the temperature had been restricted to above 23 or 24 degrees, but there are certain people like myself who likes to sleep in temperatures of 20 or 21 degrees. I will avoid all hotels under the Marriott/Courtyard branding in future.

Perfect location if you want to stay in the new town. Subway station is a few meters away so very convenient to go anywhere.Breakfast was rich enough.

Nothing much to do around the hotel at night. A small convenient stores are nearby though.

Location and cleanliness of the hotel is perfect. It's about 10mins walk from Suzhou center and the hotel was so clean. Breakfast was delicious.

The range of food at breakfast was quite limited in comparison to other hotels.
