Poovar Island Resort

Courteous staff Public safety Boat rideOutdoor gaming facilityFree breakfast Toiletries are very good.....Keep it up

Bathroom appears oldClothesline in the bathroom was old and blackish in various places, it was frayed and tied to keep it in one piece.....it probably won't cost much to replace

Quiet waterfront by the sea property. Very nice rooms. I would suggest booking the normal rooms and not going for the floating rooms. Excellent food and amazing service.

A slightly expensive property as far as rentals go. Flat charge for the taxi back to the airport from the property.

Location was good. Property was maintained well. Courteous staff.

Unfortunately beach access was blocked. Information on 2 different parking area's was not given prior hand. A la carte food service took min 30 min to deliver. With old people and kids this is too annoying. Check in could have been made faster. I need to say this, Vegetable sandwich was bland with just raw big size cucumber, tomato, carrot.

We stayed here from 28th July to 29th July and had a truly wonderful experience. The resort is well-maintained with a peaceful and relaxing ambiance. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and neatly arranged. The surroundings are scenic, perfect for a refreshing getaway. The staff were very polite, helpful, and attentive, making us feel welcomed throughout our stay. The food was fresh and tasty, adding to the overall great experience. The Ayurvedic full body massage (extra cost applicable) was truly awesome and left us feeling completely relaxed. The resort also offers many other interesting paid activities, making the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone looking for a relaxing break.

You may see small wild animals like palm civet and insects during night.

Food outstanding Fish spa was fun

Internet connection Felt little isolatedI was expecting bit more for the value

Amazing resort with wonderful location and facilities . Must try esp super nice staffs who upgraded our room too for a special occasion

Location and the boat to trip to reach there was just mind blowing. Loved every bit of the stay there. Really amazing. You can easily spend two days there without any regrets. Ayurvedic massages were just a great add ons

Only the beds. They were really uncomfortable and I left with a backache. Not just me however my wife also suffered backaches on their bed.

Very good

The bad thing which I would say is they told that they will arrange the auto from there stay to the neyyentokara railway station but they haven't arranged and at last asked us to go in cab because the charges were same.

It was an excellent experience with a natural and comfortable living ambiance. The hospitality was commendable, and the team was very supportive and friendly. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends and acquaintances.

I have concerns about the thoroughness of the pest control program. My son encountered bed bugs during his overnight stay.

I liked so many things at Poovar, like the location, the back waters, the beach, the estuary, the pool, the food, especially the sea food platter, hospitality, the ayurvedic spa and many more !

The restaurant was smelling of fish (rotten) and so we sat at the place adjoining the restaurant. But for this slip, everything else was awesome.

Island experience... Over all good

Staffs can be more professional. Squeal cafe no people at the counter. People are good but they need proper training to attend to the customer. But I am satisfied

Location is good.. staff is good.

Property is old and needs renewal. The bedsheets and towels, though clean looks worn and dull..shower curtains had mould .. bathroom walls need repainting since there is mould... The bathroom was neat and clean but everything including the toilet seats needs renewal.....the staff is trying there level best to keep everybody happy.. but the place needs an overall revamp.Food and breakfast was just average.

The location and surroundings are beautiful

The bathroom and room cleanliness’s need to be improved

Passable

Response of staffs. Cleanliness. Had to ask for something n times before they deliver

Location is awsome

Clean the room properly and remove damaged items example shower taps and switches ets and fix new one.

Staff, calmness, cleanliness. Vinod and his team run a tight ship and provide great experience. Thank you!

The boat service can be improved - sometimes long waits. Can/should be more strict with the swimming pool rules - we saw many people jumping in with their regular clothes and without shower.

Good property but reaching the property can take time due to limited boat capacity.

Bad pest control. We had lizards in our room

Excellent location

Needs a bit of cleanliness and maintenance
