- I didn't like the facilities of the public hot baths. The entrance of male and female parlours are too close in distance, and shockingly wide opened. The bathing booths were dirty. It was not a clean and safe place to me.Staff of the ticketing office didn't bother to help or answer questions.Rules of using the hot bath facilities were unclear. First, the ticket stated that swimming cap was needed. So my friend did not go. Yet, it was found that no one bother whether users had caps on or not. Second, money was needed to use the lockers. But we were not informed about it. We must go back to our room to get money if we wanted to use the lockers. It was so frustrating.
- The hotel offered us the “balcony/view” room at additional $400NT. We took the offer thinking we would get to enjoy some fresh air and nice view on the balcony. To our disappointment we were given a room on the ground floor. We couldn’t stay on the terrace, and didn’t even open our curtains due to how easy it was to see inside the room from outside. Given it’s a popular destination, there were constantly groups of people outside our windows. The rooms above us were extremely loud throughout the night, possibly due to poor insulation. We felt that we made the wrong choice of upgrading our room.The hotel is pretty secluded which is a bit of a double edge sword. We couldn’t get on the bus there, which would have cost us $2 NT. The taxis there do not use meters, it’s just a flat $250NT. You also need to think about your meals if you don’t eat at the hotel. We prepped some instant noodles and brought them with us

There are free snacks, tea and coffee in the communal area. Complimentary breakfast was tasty, lots of local new dishes to try. It’s right across the hot spring and hotel guests get unlimited entry to the area during their stay.

The spa was very relaxing and clean, the staff very helpful and friendly (they helped us a lot with rebooking next trips because of a typhoon), the lobby with free snacks is a plus and the restaurant serves fresh food. The room was spacious and quiet, with a superb view on the mountains. A lovely stay!

Excellent spa across the street!!! This is fairly new and very attractive looking hotel. The lobby is bright, classy and modern. We enjoyed the complimentary freshly brewed coffee, tea, cookies and ice cream at check in and anytime (24-hours). Our spacious room was clean, had a comfortable bed and very good pillow and bed linens. It was nice that the bathroom had water from the mineral spring. The staff were all cheerful and helpful!!
The breakfast buffet was large but most of the food was served cold. The dinner was also large but needs more flavorful spices. It would be nice to have two tall bar stools on the balcony.
we came here for the hot spring, the public pool is famous for decades and it still maintains well also a nice. just the facilities inside the room is quite old fashion also feel humid inside the room. and the room is no view, which is not described when making the reservation. the staff are lack of smiles which i do hope it can improve first. anyway we can have hit spring bath inside the room is still nice. i might give this stay 5 points and i might live in other hotel and come to this public pool next time!
