    Pros +

    • The hot spring was ok
    • We enjoyed our 3 days and 2 nights stay in the hotel, the staff were very approachable, our room was super clean and there were a lot of things you can do at the hotel. So very recommendable.
    • Room is clean and spacious. Hotel provided free afternoon tea, cocktail, and access to spa/pool. The room had welcome snacks, water, local coffee which we really liked. We also really appreciated the kimonos in the room as we have not encountered this service in Taiwan before. Front desk staff and restaurant staff are very helpful and friendly. They can speak English.

    Cons -

    • The facility is old and lack of character. There are too many mixed activities available in the hotel making it lackluster in everything.
    • We couldn’t use the spa/pool because we didn’t have a swimming cap. They do not rent to guests and make you spend money and buy at the hotel gift shop which is overpriced. Staff at the spa/pool are not friendly. We noticed and pointed out there were other guests that looked like gangsters who didn’t have swimming caps inside and why they are allowed when we are not. They just said Meiguanxi. A bit unfair treatment.
    • Quality of breakfast has significantly declined since our last stay here three years ago.

    Spa & sauna are best

Quality of breakfast has significantly declined since our last stay here three years ago.

Believe this is the only 5star rated hotel in the city. Buffet, many options, great spread, variety of condiments. Make your own waffles, fun.2x 7elevens within 100m. Great view if you are high enough.

Stayed in a deluxe family room which had 1 shower and 2 toilets. But only 1 had a bidet.

    8MarianaPosted on: 9-24-2024

Big Beautiful and comfortable room with a nice view of the city. Free parking. Free activities such as billiard and table tennis were great. Nice rubber flip flops.

Outside Swimming pool has green mould on the tiles. The indoor facilities where there are hot springs and indoor pools were very old. Some buttons don’t work. Definitely it needs renovation.

    10OLIVIERPosted on: 4-22-2024

The spa was definitely the highlight. Kids loved the huge play area with plenty of games available.

Having the sauna as payable rather than part of the free spa.

    9AyelletPosted on: 4-17-2024

    Room size, comfortable beds.

    1. Not much dining options - you cannot have afternoon tea in the lobby, they send you to the next door 7/11.2. The hotel location - it's pretty isolated.3. I had the ABSOLUTELY WORST massage I have ever had in all my years of travelling. Was accused by the therapist I was uncomfortable with the visually challenged people (didn't even realised that he was), he was very forceful even though I asked him multiple times to be gentle. I cut it short by half for the very first time in my life.

There were swimming pool, spa and child play areas which our grandchild enjoyed very much. The room was big and clean but old. The breakfast was very nice with great choices of all kinds of food and plastic dishes and cutlery for kids. The ATM downstairs was quite handy.

Later than usual check in time of 4:00. The hot pools were cooler than we expected. We were not told that there was a hotel shuttle that went to the middle of town, so we spent a lot of time looking for parking when we got there using our own car. So suggest that it is part of the welcome information.

    8StevenPosted on: 4-7-2024

Swimming pool and hot spring, but a few facilities weren't working. Good entertainment amenities (billiards, table tennis etc) in basement.

Everything was at minimum satisfactory, most aspects were very good.

    8盛豪Posted on: 2-7-2024

The hotel has thoughtfully prepared a wide range of guest activities, which are very attractive. My wife participated in a nighttime yoga class to help with sleep, and the kids really enjoyed driving electric cars on the track.

    tesla charging stations available

    1. Got a phone call at 11pm while my parents were asleep from the front desk asking us to move our car to a different parking spot without apologizing how late it was. 2. Was asked to bring our breakfast vouchers to the front desk at 8pm because we requested takeout breakfast (I have done this numerous times in other hotels in Taiwan but had never been asked to bring the vouchers immediately upon requested). As if they were too worried that we would take the breakfast boxes and eat at their buffet causing the hotel going bankrupt. The hotel simply couldn't wait'll next day morning to collect our voucher while handing over the food to us.Been here years ago as a kid and it was awesome. Now coming here as an adult, I have to say not only the room and amenities are hideous, so does its customer service. AVOID.

From the checking in stage the staff and the entertainment in the lobby was awesome. The room service and the warm welcome given by the staff were all wonderful. The best part of the trip for my husband and I was the buffet style food. It was value for price and very delicious. If the hotel wasn't all the way in Taidong, we would visit this hotel every weekend due to the quality and pride they take in their service. They also weren't racist towards us, which is a plus. They treated us like normal people would. The photos matched the room, and there weren''t any discrepancies. We also loved the complimentary sorrel beverages given and sold at the hotel. If you are looking for a place to relax, and unwind from the city. Do visit this hotel, we had no regrets. We are a young western couple in the architecture field so our main priority when visiting places is always quality and cleanliness of the room and food. We are very thorough and look at everything especially the interior of the building because it influences everything within the space such as the food etiquette, safety and the hygiene of the place.

The only thing I did not like was the rugs located in the hallways of the rooms. As you enter and exit the elevator, you can feel the heaviness in the air. This is caused by the rugs being unclean, wet and the sun hititng the rug directly.. Although the sunlight can help with keeping the carpet dry, there are places the sunlight won't reach. Taidong is humid as well so when cleaning the carpet, do properly dry it. The hallway is not naturally ventilated so the humidity in the air needs to be dealt with regularly so germs and sickness does not linger around. There was a dehumidifier on the floor but it is not big enough to handle that amount of humidity in the air for that space. Removing the water periodically from the dehumidifier and also doing those small little cleaning strategies would change the feeling you get when entering and exiting the elevator. Nevertheless , the stay was awesome and we will visit again. Thus far, it is our favorite hotel visited. And we learned many things.

    Clean room

Not natural hot spring. There is no hot spring. There is no natural ground water either. Confirmed. This is faucet water heated up. Very disappointing. At least the hotel should state so clearly on the site. There are pools. Outside is cold water. Inside pools are heated water range from 26 to 40C., all faucet water heated up.

Old hotel made amazing by the wonderful staff. Good Breakfast but dinner was so so at the alacarte restaurant.

Rooms were dated, musty and we were given 2 doubles instead of a King for a couple checking in.

    7SabinePosted on: 11-4-2023

The beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly.

This hotel is for sure not a 5 star hotel. It urgently needs an intensive refurbishment. Everything is outdated. At the swimming pool (which is large) you find pool beds from wood with no cushions on it. The restaurant looks like a hall at a railway station.A very big breakfast buffet but mainly chinese food. At a 5 star hotel one can expect a bid

    8OlivierPosted on: 10-11-2023

There are a lot of things to do in the hotel, a SPA, a game room with poolroom and arcade machine, all free of charge. The breakfast buffet had a lot of choice. The room was clean and comfy for our stay.

The building and the facilities need a little refreshment, some of the jets in the SPA were not working, the carpet needs to be changed soon. The matress was a bit hard for our taste.

    8PengjyunPosted on: 8-13-2023

The room is new settled up and has new decorations. the overall is great and there is a balcony in the room. Nice view

    Passable

we stayed here for 5 days but for the first 3 days, the breakfast were all the same.and we found a cockroach in the room…

    8EmmaPosted on: 4-29-2023

The service was excellent. Good shuttle bus service to the train station, good and clean indoor outdoor pool facilities, hotspring bath and water jets,, 2 kids play area (one with books and toys another with ballpit/arcade games). Breakfast with a lot of choice however some days may be busier than others due to the tour operators. Good bedding and fantastic bathroom. Great baby bed and baby Bathtub/baby bath products and baby bottle sterilising machine.

It is 15mins taxi to downtown so not practical for dining out. There is nonetheless a dumplings restaurant less than 10 mins walk away that is fantastic and very cheap. The massage was a very strong massage. No facial/ skincare treatments available.
