Century Hotel

Very good service. Very clean. Very spacious. Bed was comfortable. Helpful Staff and they speak English.

Breakfast was just ok

A nice modern comfortable hotel. Right next to the bus station which we took to the National forest. 10 minutes taxi ride to the train station.

Unlike the other hotel we stayed prior time, this hotel does not have an indoor hot spring SPA.

The staff is nice and friendly. The room is great and clean.

Small gym; the temperature in the gym is way too high!

This is absolutely NOT a 5 star hotel. I would not come back to this hotel and would not recommend it. The rooms are not maintained well, the shower looks disgusting and has calc everywhere. Everything looked yellowish - we showered wearing our flipflops. The room is also very humid, so you need to keep the AC on. Because of this, the curtains smelled due to the moist in the room. The pool is weirdly located and not maintained well either. They are cleaning the pool for a whole day on Wednesday and other than that there are specific times you cannot enter the pool area. The balcony has a great view (we had mountain view), but again not well maintained, not nice to chill. Breakfast has a lot of options and was fine. The reception does not speak English (only a few words).

Great amenities, good breakfast, fun activities

It’s getting a bit old, but still well maintained. Gym is very small, older kids play area (games room etc) is also very small. Unfortunate the pool and hot springs looks over the parking lot

The activities such as the archery, mochi macking etc were great fun. Highly recommended!

The tiles in the bathroom were stained a bit, not sure if it's due to high season/ winter or the water quality.

Nice service, people were very friendly specially the door man and waiter who works in restaurant.

Meals almost same everyday

Barring one or two members of staff, most were very helpful and willing to go above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay

Bathtub wasn't cleaned properly, it was grimey and we found pubic hair still floating in it. Room was humid, smelt of mold and air conditioner could not bring the temperature down. The outdoor spa is beside the car park, really weird spot.

It’s a bit noisy during sleeping time from other rooms’ slamming door.

We enjoyed the in-room onsen (hot spring). The room is spacious and comfortable, and surprisingly has a balcony with Mountain View. They offer quite a lot of varieties for the breakfast buffet.

We cannot recommend this hotel!

The room/ bathroom were not clean. The ONSEN was a pure disappointment: main ONSEN was closed; the ONSEN in the room was a pure bathtub with warm water. Certainly not the promised ONSEN experience!

the shower area wasn’t very clean, but bathtub was clean. can hear noise between the walls.

The room was just fine

- the buffet was out of many dishes- we were supposed to have access to some bath services but it was all closed- the ambiance at the restaurant was... Soviet? PRC-like? Libya-like? Pick your metaphor... In one word, gloomy and cold...

Big hotel with nice facilities - large common areas, outside fountain with fish which excited our toddler, kids playroom near the restaurant. We had the tatami room and greatly enjoyed it, as well as the walk in shower & bathtub.

The breakfast is very good with lots of selections. The room is very spacious, very comfortable. Staff are all professional and friendly

New building & facilities

This time I stayed in the 3 person room which is in tatami style, I feel like the size of the room is smaller and less luxurious than the 2 person room I stayed in before. This time the dinner I had was the shabu-shabu, the waiter was very busy and didn’t enough man power to serve all the people who dined in at the time.

I have many 5 stars hotel experiences. And this is first time I give one star in the comment (actually they doesn’t even deserve 1 star). I will NEVER EVER come to this “5 stars” hotel again. I spent NTD9000+/night, and I get a room which bathroom is stocked! The water and the soap is all around the floor. And the front desk’s service and attitude is supper terrible! Oh BTW, they claimed they are 5 stars hotel, but no swim pool inside, if you want to have REAL hot spring experience, you need to make a reservation first and take their shuttle bus and go cross the street to their cooperation hot spring spot. Almost forgot one thing. The bathtub in the room is extremely dirty. I even need to clean the bathtub by myself. These terrible services and experiences cost me almost NTD 10,000. If you are SUPER RICH and doesn’t care about the front desk’s attitude and their services and the facilities, welcome to chipen century hotel.
