Comfort Hotel Koriyama

Convenient location for the station, nice cosy reception area with books, welcome drinks and nice free breakfast.

The location was good with an easy walk to Koriyama Railway Station. An escalator, or lift, takes you up a level then a 250m covered walk into the station. There are several restaurants at the station. We only returned a rental car so it was virtually just an overnight stay for us.The breakfast at the Cafe was good.The staff worked hard to the usual high standard of the country.

After multiple visits to Japan and currently finishing up a three week driving holiday we have stayed at many, many forms of accommodation.The room we stayed in was barely big enough to open two suitcases.. The full bed was too small for us to get a good night's sleep. As a person over 6ft I had to sit on the toilet sideways.But our fault for not being more careful when a 'full bed' is advertised.The room heating was set by the hotel at 25 degrees, far too hot for us to be comfortable.The staff did open the window and offer a fan, which was good of them. The cafe also far too hot when the outside temp that morning was 1 degree.

Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety and exceptional food. Free parking available.

The facility (elevator and elevator entrance) looks a bit old. Lamp inside the room where cold white illumination, which does not look cozy. Room a bit small.

Pleasant

It was hot in the room and the aircon was locked to heating mode. A lot of noise came through the room door.

The room was a great size and breakfast was really good with lots of options. Loved the smoothies which were different flavours every day and the iced teas also different every day available after breakfast. The breakfast/book/tea room is available until midnight which is great. They also have a coffee machine if you aren't into tea (but who isnt :P).

It is on the East less busy side of the station which is quiet but there is not much around. There are 2 Family Marts you can walk to for snacks in 5-10mins. A Ramen shop, a Sushi restaurant and a Saizeriya you can walk to also about 10mins away. Other then that you have to go back to the train station or to the other side to get food. One night we went on a walk to an onsen which also had a DonQuijote and a Round 1 next to it which was nice. That took maybe 15mins from the hotel. The bed was a little hard.

Pillows. Only 2 were supplied for 4 people. The extra pillows supplied by reception were pretty hard for Australians.

We had a twin room and found the room was quite spacious. We needed to work and their WiFi was pretty good too. We also liked the free parking on site which was a very convenient feature.

stay with free breakfast was excellent! the buffet was great! and the day we left was raining, they also lent umbrellas to the customers.It’s close to station but the east exit/entrance is a long distance from the platform.

the room is way too small, there’s nearly no room to open two luggages at the same time, the bathroom is also is bit small.Plus we couldn’t adjust the heater into air conditioner, it’s just too heat for us, you can feel the warm on the aisle from the elevator to rooms.

Location, quiet and excellent staff

All staff are polite and friendly, they assist needs hard even under language bar.

The room was small, but comfortable and clean. There were all necessary amenities. You can enjoy free drinks (coffee, tea and lemon water) near the reception. Complimentary breakfast also included (nothing fancy, but you still have what to choose from). The parking lot was right outside the hotel.

Good value for money; friendly staff. I liked the "library" with free coffee (think co-working space) on the ground floor.

Our room was next to a storage room and was noisy every time someone came late at night while trying to sleep. The air was not good in the room and I got a headache. Otherwise the stay was good but our room was unfortunate. We left too early to enjoy the free breakfast or coffee.

Location is very convenient, next to train station and close to a konbini.The staff is very kind
