    Pros +

    • I really liked outdoor onsen and all the other options. Room was spacious and clean, there was a bit wear and tear, but nothing major. Staff was polite, although their english could be better.
    • Hotel staff can speak English very well, The restaurant is good there are unlimited alcohol drink. Outdoor Onsen was amazing.
    • The meals were good and drink package.

    Cons -

    • Staff had some problems with speaking english. When I arrived to the location by bus, it was dark and it was raining, it was difficult to understand how to get to the main building.
    • There was 1 onsen that Man and Woman have to take a turn some time I have to wait. Food is just OK
    • A bit limited with the evening drinks. Beer in paper cups for pre dinner drinks?? Please just a chilled Glass like in the dining room..More adult nibbles.. not so many lollies for kids

    Location.

Lived in dark room for 3 nights no cleaning. No sun Excuse regarding no visibility was that was cheap room and worst snow in her lifetime. Do check if you are going to stay there

Good Location. You can to Goshikinuma ponds by walk.Good Breakfast.

    6SiewPosted on: 10-28-2024

Love the Onsen. And the afternoon light drink and evening drink

The room is old and have smell when we open it. Air conditioning is totally not cool and was told that’s the temperature for all rooms as it is a centralised air conditioning

    9SviatlanaPosted on: 10-4-2024

Breakfast was excellent. Overall great value for money, beautiful nature nearby.

The hotel could do with a little bit of renovation (e.g. carpets) but that didn't affect our stay.

    8HanyPosted on: 7-22-2024

Nice onsen, good location, nice complementary nightcap, spacious rooms.

Rooms were outdated and very different from what was advertised when we made the booking. Breakfast and dinner overpriced, in an area that has limited dinning options around.

    6DarshitPosted on: 7-15-2024

    - Great Location- Clean Rooms

    - Old Rooms- The bathroom mixtures need improvement as they are not properly mixing hot and cold water.- The air conditioning was not functioning properly during the day. When I requested the staff to increase the cooling, they informed me that it wasn't possible since the AC was already at its maximum capacity and the system is outdated. They suggested opening the room window to help lower the temperature.

Excellent service + decent public bath + loved that they arrange afternoon and night social with snack and drinks. Fabulous breakfast buffet

Located at the foot of Bandai San (volcano) and a few hundred metres from the start of the Goshikinuma walk. The public bath and hot springs are excellent (note: gender divided). The only dining option at the resort is an expensive buffet, but it is high quality.

Amazing location. Before checking in, we took a walk around the five ponds, however we should have done some research because the trail through the ponds actually ends right by the hotel! I recommend checking in first, and then walking the trail to get a nice experience. After we checked in, there was a welcome drink free of charge! After relaxing for a little bit, we went to have dinner. The dinner and breakfast buffet was AMAZING. There was also an all-you-can-drink self-serve bar available during dinner. The staff was welcoming and professional at all times, and very helpful. The onsen available at the hotel was lovely, with a very nice and serene outdoor area.

    6ChayPosted on: 5-28-2024

    Night cap

Lobby smelled of left-over food. Room fittings & furniture are old & tired. Totally not upto expectation for the hotel charges we had paid.

    7ChrisPosted on: 5-9-2024

The onsen was great with an outdoor and an indoor bath. The lounge also offered free drinks (including alcohol) and snacks.

The carpet in our room was stained, and the room was dark even with all the lights turned on. In the mornings the curtains let in a lot of light, which can be annoying when it's bright before 5am.

    8ReubenPosted on: 9-20-2023

The location was very convenient for our plans in the area, since the hotel was located by the Goshikinuma entrance.Hotel facilities such as onsen were clean, and the laundry area was helpful. There are places to relax around the hotel, which is great if you want to hang out outside your room.

    7ShinPosted on: 9-19-2023

    Spacious guest rooms.

Location. Far away from everything. Building and furniture being not well maintained.

    8ReikoPosted on: 9-9-2023

The onsen is beautiful, the buffet breakfast is great and the staff are really nice. The location is so beautiful also. A lot of space for children to run around in.

It's quite dated but that has its charms. The restaurants weren't open when we were there which was a shame as I love the Robata Yaki.

    8MaaikePosted on: 8-19-2023

Great food. Lots of choice, apart from meat also vegetables and fruit. Rooms are big. Beds are good. Onsen is included, we dodn't use it but was popular. Good sirroundings for hiking.

It is expensive, but we knew that upfront. For the rest, nothing negative.

    9MarcPosted on: 8-6-2023

The Onsen was very nice. Good options and huge variety at the dinner and breakfast.

The overall ambience - the place is more tailored towards an older generation and families with children.

    8SantiagoPosted on: 2-20-2023

Having a car is highly recommended (lots of parking in the hotel). I think there are shuttle buses to some ski stations but I am not sure of their frequency). Decent Onsen, very close (by car) to Grandeco sky station (and others). Can buy discounted lift tickets at the hotel. The rooms were big and decently clean if a little dated. Great price considering nearby options.

Somehow in this day and age, the onsen still has a no-tatoo policy. You are allowed to enter the onsen if you can cover them with too small seals. It is nice to see Japanese establishments taking steps in the right direction but this is still not enough, the only tatoo policy that is going to really work long term is to do like most of your customers have already done and just forget about whether or not your guests have tatoos (no one cares any more). Not lots of dining options nearby (rather expensive buffet at the hotel and an Izakaya that was OK but where you may not want to have dinner too many days in a row). Quite a few other option 20-30 minutes away by car.
